  1. Wait, what? You're offering junk for an item? That means that you want someone to sell you an item for under GE price? Good luck. Yes, many items are sold for "less" than the G.E. price. No; I am not offering that, since I do not have the junk. Nope. I said instead of offering cash. I wrote items 'cause junk is often considered unstrung bows, etc. But it's the same thing basically. Yes, you could either buy items for minimum in the GE (and pray that the item's price doesn't fall) or buy junk in-trade for less than the ge's price, but due to the trade cap you won't be able to buy much at a time. That's what I've been thinking about - are there any items that are easy to get at lowest price, yet still have a decent difference between lowest and market prices? This seems possible, but I would rather buy it through the G.E., to avoid the banking and such.
  2. Hi. I'm am cosidering to buy a semi-expensive item. It can be bought for very low amounts of cash + junk though, and instead of offering pure cash, I believe it would be better to offer cash + items. Are there any items I can get cheaper than they appear in the trade window (G.E. market price) ?
  3. I predict a rant-riot on the RSOF :ohnoes:
  4. I'm in, world 99. For those of you still having trouble - try going back to the main page and selecting play RuneScape. Works fine for me :
  5. Quality post there, thanks Ultimatballr : I've been thinking about getting combat levels through slayer 'til level 30-40. Then move on to the quests, and regular training. Once the combat level's decent, I'd move back to slayer and collect charms. Prayer shouldn't be a problem at all, dragon bones and a gilded altar should do the trick :)
  6. I'd much rather have one balanced account than two. The fact that a level 3 is 'better' doesn't bother me. As I said, I fear that it will be hard to train, as I do not know how long it takes to get combat exp.
  7. Hi! I'm currently a level 3 in RuneScape, and a few things have made me consider combat training: - Slayer sounds like a fun skill - So does summoning - I like doing quests, and I've reached the point where I only have combat-related quests left - Monster hunting My only problem is the fact that this might just get too time consuming. Does anyone know how long it would take from level 3 to say 85 combat? And does anybody know the xp/h rate for the combat skills? (Attack, Strength, Defence and Hitpoints) Thanks, Joe.
  8. ;) Decent levels you've got there, fairly balanced. Good job
  9. Props to he, who finds something wrong in this picture : [hide=Somewhat big picture
  10. The only thing I notice is 'themselves'. Although it does say 'themselves', it's not an error, since they/them is used when talking of a person whose gender you do not know.
  11. Yikes! :ohnoes: (Luckily, I hadn't actually mined any ores yet. I lost nothing ;) )
  12. I bet it's the same person. And I bet he/she looks for victims here on Tif :ohnoes:
  13. Good job, 9.5/10 But since you didn't get a single fletching and cooking level, 10/10
  14. For the first time since Tutorial Island, my mining and smithing levels are now even.
  15. Hi. Threads like these belong in the Help & Advice forum :) To answer your question, a dragon platebody can be obtained by either buying one from another player (or the G.E.) or by smithing three pieces of dragon. More info on the RuneScape Knowledge Base :)
  16. I've seen them everywhere. I doubt they stick to their respawn points.
  17. Haha #-o That reminds me... (Obviously, I didn't actually go to the website. Neither should you :P. I just played along.
  18. Wow, someone actually read that book? Seriously though, I really couldn't care less. Did the end of the book give any hints about a sequel? If yes, I'm sure Jagex will hire some bloke to write about more betrayal.
  19. Many of my tips have already been mentioned, but here goes... If you've bought an item on the G.E., right-click the image if you do not wish to withdraw in in notes. When the bankers are announing a drop party, talk to one of them to see the exact worth of the drop, and get a free teleport directly to the party room. Dwarven stouts, Asgarnian ales and Wizard's mind bombs are all sold in the Falador Pub. These require a somewhat long conversation with the bartenders though. The Toad and Chicken offers the same drinks at the same price, only with a right-click option for instant trade and unlimited stock. You can teleport directly to the pub with a games necklace (Burthorpe games room) and teleport to Bounty Hunter with the same necklace (for banking). Players, who want to make money, can buy these and sell them on the G.E. with a 3600% profit!* *(I know it's only a 70 gp profit, but 3600% sounds better...)
  20. Ugh, this thread reminds me of my powerful stupidity. About the time when construction was released (and I was a free player), a guy came to a free world with one of them fancy herladic helmets, I think it was the Guthix one, with the pretty colors. So I asked him what helmet it was, and he told me that it was the 'Member of the month'-helmet. Needless to say, I believed him. :wall: I feel even dumber for congratulating him. #-o
