people's ignorance never stops surprising me : What would you call it, metalcore? I only like their music, they arn't cheep to have play at a show... I was trying to find a band that people would know! ya they are metalcore, even though i dislike metalcore i cant resist the need of listening to them either -.- . on topic, someone told me that you need to bark like a dog :?: to improve growls. i never tried it but i guess it works if you do it the right way :P . the only thing you need to learn is to sing using your lungs, not your throat. the more you practice, the longest you can sing. but, if you stop practicing and decide to rest a couple days after starting, you willl go back to 0. you must practice everyday since you are doing it for the first time. well thats all i have to say :P

I wouldn't expect him to start doing gigs until after at least 3 years :s Are you questioning my ability?! what ability? -.- you havent started playing yet -.-. And yes, it'll be at least 3 years until you start doing gigs, thats the average.

well uhhmm... i dont know what to recommend. i guess its never a bad moment to recommend Sarco[bleep]o ;) they are a different type of black metal, a little bit more catchy than norwegian i guess :)

i'd buy a airplane ticket to norway. once i get there i'd buy a crapy video camera, medieval weapons and corpse paint. then i'd go to the forest and make a black metal video 8-)

when i listen to a really really good song that i havent heard in a long time (like a year) it gives me a strange feeling that makes me shake :? . I usually listen to death metal so I imitate the drums with my fingers (#2 of the fastest people doing that in my school \ ). when i listen anything else i just move my feet according the speed of the song

not true. actually, when the person is very tired, he/she doesnt dream. its just like closing your eyes and not thinking of anything but you dont notice it until you wake up. in my case, when i dream, sometimes i cant remember what i dreamed about but i have the feeling that i dreamed about something.

i havent dreamed lately probly because i go to bed way later than usual, but my dreams are almost all about stuff that makes no sense :shock:. except for sundays, when i dream about what im going to do on monday. the rest are just really hard to explain.

like Intriguing said, peter gilmore is the head of the church of satan, not manson (hes reverend). and he isnt actually satanic, hes just a poser. do you think he would be as famous as he is now, if he hadnt caused so much controversy with his supossedly satanist acts? the answer is no, he wouldnt, hes just doing it for fame. take a look at the members of the inner circle of black metal before the arrival of varg vikernes. most of them were satanists, but why arent they as famous as manson? because manson is just fake satanism. manson dresses and acts a certain way to make people think hes a satanist, but what he does, has very little or nothing to do with real satanism.

even though you dont want to, you should start with an acoustic guitar(assuming that you dont know how to play guitar). having an electric guitar and not knowing how to play will just make you look like a talentless rich boy. On topic, i would recommend an ibanez RG370, which is like $400 more or less. its really easy to get used to it imo, so i guess its good for a starter. it also sounds good, but you need a good amplifier too (preferably a Crate one around $250). now, if you have a lot of money then the ibanez jem7v steve vai signature is the one for you! \ its the perfect guitar (sounds good, looks cool, its comfortable), ive always wanted one but dont have the money :( . but as i said, you should really start with an acoustic guitar.

dragonforce is just an insult to power metal imo. try real power metal: stratovarius, angra, helloween, sonata artica. they are WAY better than dragonforce. stratovarious is even more generic than dragonforce... Try Kamelot's The Black Halo, Blind Guardian's Imaginations From the Other Side, and Gamma Ray's Land of the Free for good Power Metal. Sonata is good too, haven't heard angra, and Helloween bores me. i had to look up for generic in the dictionary :? . still dont get what you mean.
