Ok, my friend came up with this idea, so please don't kill me for posting it. We are both stuck at work and can't play right now. From what I've gathered, the big 717 Rev kills(?) Familiars? Like does it engage in combat? Or just make em disappear? The pic in this thread shows it in a Multi-combat area AND it has a flippin Combat Level... So we were thinking...can you have high level Familiars attack it together? Like a whole clan with Steel Titans smack it around? Maybe it has something of VALUE to drop that the new Ring helps you get. Can someone please test this and let us know...We have another 8 hours of work ahead of us before we can try this stuff. Hell, the only reason I went National Guard for a year was to help support my family. I didn't want to go overseas. But WE needed the support and money, so I made my sacrifices. I forgot my Anti-Shield, as I do not hunt Dragons often. This was my 40th Slayer Task in a row, so I decided to finish it out. I had Antifire Pots, though. I go running into the Iron Dragon part and the first few in line of sight are occupied. So I head east and down south following the cave walls. I get to the south-east most Iron Dragon and there is no one around. I cast Slayer Dart. I get hit hard. I drink antifire. I still get hit pretty hard. Then I realize my Anti-Shield isn't with me. So I haul [wagon]. I run north, hoping to get outside of his range. No good. I start running west, toward the entrance (all I had was Hometele). I get to the entrance where the first Iron Dragon you see when you walk into the area. There is a ranger there, without prayer on killing this one. I take my last hit. I quickly hit this sequence: Enter>G>E>3. I'm in Falador (respawn point). I'm panicking. But I know my Quick Chat message of "Please protect my gravestone" got out before I spawned in Fally. I start to gather recovery gear. I get to Brimhaven and pay the dude to go in, no message about repairs. As soon as I step through the door, I see the message, "Your gravestone has collapsed." Dude was a total [puncture], and decided not to help me.

That kind of remark right there is what is bringing this game down. People like you don't even deserve their account. Also, people like you don't keep their accounts very long...which is a good thing. First off, I will admit it was my fault. And yes, I deserved to die from it. But that does not excuse the player's actions, nor yours, from being rude to another person. I did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. People like you and him make me sick. And I would have no qualms about knocking any of your teeth down the back of your throat over this kind of behavior.

I get back there and he's says QUOTE: "Lol, wuddup noob." I ask why he didn't help me and he replies, "Because you crowding up the place." Then I lost it, cursed my head off at the idiot, logged off and didn't play for the rest of the day. I needed to calm down and evaluate what all I lost and how to get it all back. Thankfully I didn't banned for my colorful remarks. I guess the only real point of all this is, that if I had had the best gravestone, I would have (probably) been able to get back there on my own. But the way people acted totally destroyed my day. I would have been a whole lot less pissed off if he had said something like, "I'm out of Prayer." or something along those lines. Instead, he feeds me a [cabbage] line about me crowding up the place? I wasn't anywhere near the R Tard. And I never stole a dragon from another player. I found his behavior absolutely appalling. And in retrospect, I didn't do very nice things after that either. I went to Blue Dragons, to make some money back to recover my stuff with. I completely dominated the area, taking blue right out from other people. Why? Because no body gave a [cabbage] about me when I was in trouble, so why the [bleep] should I care about anyone else anymore? I still feel this way right now. That was the rudest of rude things that person could have done. So now I feel like taking it out on the rest of the players around me. Why? Because no matter what I do, I don't have to worry about consequences as long as I don't break the game rules. Is that what this game has come down to?

I would go to any of the big game monsters. [X] KBD (easy/fun) [ ] KQ [ ] DK [X] Giant Mole (easy) [ ] Chaos Elemental [X] Bandos (easy/fun) [X] Zammy (easy/fun) [X] Arma (tough/rewarding) [ ] Sara The X'd boxes are the ones I have been to. The unchecked boxes are the ones I want to try. I have all the skills and/or quest requirements to do them all. And...if we go DK's can we bring our Cannons?

If you think about it. I mean REALLY think about it. This would be a GODSEND to a RWT company. The current RWT concept involves Bounty Hunter. And even though its not too hard to overcome, it still comes with a huge risk. Some random person could ruin a deal. But this would be like opening the back door and letting them all come right back into the game. And a 500k every 24 hours really defeats the purpose of a true drop party. But I will admit, it would be a very novel idea to help hold onto what we remember from our past. For us Non-RWT, 500k isn't a big deal and its enough to help your friends with. But without restrictions of any kind (like the first post suggests), would be Runescape Suicide.

Before you throw a concept like that out, maybe you should consider all the options and put out an intelligent post with all the options and possible ways to keep RWT out of it. That little paragraph that is the opening post is begging to get ripped to shreds. -1 :thumbdown:

So a company takes their money on an account, moves in and gets lets say 99 Construction (with a good amount of cash you can train Construction in no time). Then, when someone buys their gold/items with real money, they invite them into the house and hold a "private drop party." Said buyer simply pops the balloons and picks up his bought items. Oh yeah, totally forgot about the Accumulator! #-o Definitely a huge plus. :thumbup: I was unaware the Spined Helm had a Range Bonus. :shock: Anything is better than a regular Coif. And I got my Zammy Book waaaaaaaay back in the day. I think it cost me 350K for the whole thing. And not sure on current prices of things I already have. Thanks for the update. We will always focus on improving RuneScape and adding more depth to it. That said, a year from now, I would expect more of a focus on multiplayer and teambased gaming. We believe that players would benefit from more social content, and we have some great ideas for this. You won't have to be in a clan to do any of this either we have plans for match-making scenarios where you could meet other players and team up with those that you like. We see RuneScape as a forum for people to meet and get to know each other.

First, I think you need to make a few minor investments in a couple pieces of equiment. Get yourself some snake skin stuff if need be. For example: Snake Skin Bandana to replace your Coif and Snake Skin Boots to replace your Boots of Lightness. Glory Amulets are reasonably priced and should replace your Power Amulet. I'd also recommend a Zammy Book or Guthix Book for your shield slot. Zammy Book is best adding a +8 to your Attack Range Bonus, but its fairly expensive. Guthix Book would add +4 Attack and +4 Defence Range Bonuses and is much cheaper. Lastly, if you have done Recipe for Disaster quest, Barrows Gloves should replace Red Vambraces. If you don't have access to Barrows Gloves, then you should buy the cheap Kebbit [bleep]es and [bleep]e your current vambraces for an extra bonus. You should see an increase in Accuracy from your modestly priced items. As far as the Crossbow goes, I'd switch to the faster Throwing Knives. If you just want to buy them, go with Bronze, but if you would prefer to make them, I would make Iron. I personally make Iron for myself, 1k Iron Bars at a time, which equals 5k Iron Knives. I also, have like 300+ Forging Rings to keep me from losing ores. Training places, hmmm. If you can get to the Fire Giants under the Waterfall, you are already in good shape. They can all be safespotted and after they go Non-Aggressive, you can really bring them down in numbers. Caged Ogres are good too. The old Moss Giant spot North-West of the Ardy North Bank is still good, if its not crowded. Sorry, I can't think of anymore. I only Range now-a-days on Dragons it seems. I can bring down Blue Dragons with Iron Knives faster than most can do with a Crystal Bow, Magic Short Bow or Crossbow these days.

isnt that solved by opening the inventory tab before opening bank? In the old interface, no matter what tab you are looking at, if you open the bank, it automatically switches to the Inventory Tab...AND STAYS ON IT WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BANK!!!

Ok, I got 1500 Charms and 1500 Raw Birds. I plan on making them all into Spirit Terrorbirds. Where is the best place to make pouches (closest to bank)? I don't have the other Familiar that teleports you to one that is close. Can you make pouches on the small obelisks? What is the best ratio to make into Scrolls?

I got a good one. In Full Screen, automatically open your Inventory Tab when you close the bank. Explanation: Everytime I open my bank and get something out, if I say teleported in and I'm still on the Magic Tab, when I close the bank, the tab switches back to the Magic Tab. This annoys me beyond belief. I get real focused, open up the bank, pull out the item(s), go to click on it and the tab switches. Drive me insane!!!

Check your private messages. OT: What are your combat stats? You don't have to go all out to handle Arma. Head: Robin/Karils hood Body: Sara D Hide Legs: Karils bottom Weapon: Rune Crossbow Ammo: 200 Mith Emerald(e) and 200 Mith Diamond(e) Shield: Zammy Book Cape: Accumalator Necklace: Arma Pendant (switch to Glory/Fury once inside) Ring: Archer/Life/Wealth Gloves: Barrows Boots: Ranger/Snakeskin/Dragon/Rune Now, depending on how skilled you think you are can determine how much wealth you want on your carcass. I have seen the best of the best get KO'ed. It can happen to anyone lol. It takes awhile to get your Kill Count back up if you want to get back to retrieve stuff so take all that into account. For instance, I don't see alot of people with Robin/Ranger sets. Instead they opt for the cheaper Karils hood and Snakeskin boots. You can also switch out any part of the Top/Bottom/Hood with a Sara Dhide item if you choose. Bring a Glory/Fury for when you get into the boss chamber so you can hit harder. Some think the Ring of Wealth helps, others don't. When I go, I personally use a Life Ring. It has saved my [wagon] several times. And lastly, depending on how much you want to flux your Defense and Range Bonus determines which boots you go with. I personally use Snakeskin boots for the Bonus and if I die, its not my Ranger Boots. *Phew* Hope that helps... ~Ix~ Afterthought: Terrorbirds/War Tortoises come in handy for this GWD Boss. Extra Supplies and Extra Defense never hurt anyone...but Arma.

Good topic by the way. :thumbup: I'm questioning what I want to do with my items I don't use often. I own a Yellow, Red Mask, Santa, D Axe just to name a few. AND, I am rarely using them. I personally would like to set up a business to rent out the items daily. The extra income will definitely help future Slayer tasks for equipment and supplies. Right now, I'm extremely focused on Slayer, but often find myself running out of Runes/Arrows/Cannonballs. I hate breaking my "Keep Going" attitude to have to sidetrack and make the supplies again. And believe it or not, I'm not rich. The items I have I got lucky with before the big price increases. For example, I got my Yellow Phat at 16m. Its now like 170mish. Good investment? Nope. Because I will never sell it. It was, in fact, a 16m loss. And has absolutely no return value. But now, I see a way to make a modest return by using it as a rental item. I keep it for events and sometimes just to hang out with on Free Servers. And its also a sign that I achieved a goal I fought hard to get. Back then, I think I was a lowly level 60. So before anyone says "Sell it," that is the reason why. But for the most part, it sits in my bank and does nothing for me. That is my thoughts on it. And I'm hoping (after someone clears up the rules around it) I can make a modest supply income off the above mentioned items.

You clearly don't understand how RuneScape's internals work then. The item that is lent to people is NOT your item. When you lend an item, say an Abyssal whip (internal item ID #4151), a copy of it (as a completely different item, it's not even an actual Abyssal whip anymore) is created. I don't know its ID number yet and can't be bothered looking. Anyways, YOUR item remains on your account, only inaccessible. The worst that can happen is that people can dupe items and use them for training (they can't trade them though). So your "warning" is pointless. Take the Draynor Bank robbery video for example. The item in that video is NOT a blue partyhat. It's a copy of it, which is untradable and cannot be worn. Therefore it is worthless, so if any player ever happened to find some absolutely obscure way of obtaining it... it would be entirely useless to them. Submitted for your approval: Rumor has is that someone right out of the gate figured out how to keep Godsword Hilts. Something to do with breaking the sword down. Anyway, what is important is, if it is true, then that is a serious problem. I've also heard that has already been taken care of. But it just goes to show you what could possibly happen.

I'm going to wait a while too. I'm almost 100% positive there are people evaluating every aspect of the update and looking to find a way to make a "Loan" into a "Permanent Trade." I don't want to be on the first list of people crying because their item was stolen because of this update. My god...could this be any more harder to read. :thumbdown: So let me get this straight. Its called the Explorer Ring. There are 3 versions (one for each set of tasks complete). Each task gives it an extra charge (up to 3). If you use a Charge it restores 50% of your Run Energy. Explorer Ring 2 give you 30 Low Alchemy (free???) per one Charge? And Explore Ring 3 gives you a teleport to Cabbage Patch just south of the Farming Patch below Falador per Charge? And the Ring Recharges Daily? Is that correct?
