Hat Secret? Anyone? Anyone? Hat Secret? Anyone? Anyone?

I'm beginning to think the Free Servers will probably be more active than the Member Servers. No one knows how the Reward System will work. I'm sure it will probably be much better in Members. But I see more people playing on Free Servers for a even playing field. What I mean is that Rune is the best armor, no poisons, limited magic spells, no specials, limited Potions and Prayers. There, you have less to guess on. Your actual base skills will be more of a factor than the armor and other bonuses that can be hidden from view. Not to mention the items are much cheaper to get back than Member's stuff. However, the drawback is that there is less overall map to fight on and usually its over crowded. This means random people may be skirmishing all around you all day. I'm not much of a PKer. I would prefer Free Servers just for training. I don't think I'm ready to put a Bandos Plate in jeopardy yet. I'm not rich enough to lose something like that on a bad fight and just turn around and buy another. And I'm sure alot of other players fall into this category. That's why I think alot of people will be running around in Rune Armor in the Member's Server. However, they will have hidden, unseen advantages waiting in the wings. AND, to top it all off, the ones who are daring enough (or crazy?) to wear high level armors will probably be dominators. People with mad money will be the true kings of the Member's Servers as they can just replace what they loose, because money is not an issue. That's what I'm predicting will happen.

Would someone please explain the "secret use" of the Ringmaster hat?

I wonder if there are any more out there. I also wonder if Jagex will ever tell us if there are. It just seems odd to me that people found the one in the Rogues Castle and the one in the Dark Knight's Fortress. Those are invisible and as far as I can tell, nothing really hints you to those areas. So unless someone walks to every single square in the wild and operates the ring, no one will ever know if there are others.

I do believe Bandos is just 70 Strength and a hammer right? I'd recommend him with a group in big numbers to get the feel of the place.

I was wearing Boots of Lightness and Spottier Cape. And didn't pot up on anything. I was seriously trying to get a low score. My plan was to go in and do the highest things possible in a row, this way the audience would get mad. I also was neglecting emotes, since they help. And it backfired in a really ironic way. I think its safe to say, just do the highest thing possible with emotes and you are golden.

Mine as well. Does the Ringmaster Hat have some hidden feature we don't know about yet?

Couldn't decide if this belongs in Help & Advice or here, so please feel free to move it where ever it needs to be... Ok, just some inside info for anyone to use and/or test for results. I missed the Circus the first day it was out but have been every since. The first week (Catherby), I did exactly what was asked from the audience with emotes, none repeated and got a rounded score of 800 in each event (netting me 3 of the 4 Acrobat cloths). The next week (Taverly), I tried again following the audience and using emotes, none repeated and still got 800 in each event (netting me the last Acrobat piece and nothing else). This week (Edgeville), I went in to try and get the lowest scores and get the audience pieces. Here is my results from this week. I found them rather odd. I started with the Mage Event, and did about 3 casts with no emotes. Then I accidentally clicked a House Teletab and left the event. When I got back, I had the Audience Shoes without having to finish my performance. I then went to the Range Event and picked up only Throwing Knives. Went to the 99 Spot (on both sides) and did all 10 shots (5 from each side) with no emotes and completely ignoring the audience. Got a score of 1100 (Clown Hat). Then went to the Agility Event, grabbing only Chinchompas. I did all my emotes first, starting from the top left and worked across and down until the Chatbox told me that emotes would no longer effect my performance. Then, I juggled Chinchompas (level 99) 10 times in a row. The whole time, I got a message says something along the lines of "The audience disapproves of your repeat performance." When I was done, however, I got a score over 1200 (Ringmaster Hat). These results are interesting and surprising to me. Feel free to try it out and see if you get the same results. ~Ixindor~

Would the Keris Dagger be the weapon of choice? Weakness in the armor...reminds me of finding a [racist term] in the armor of Kalphites. Also, has anyone even attempted the Ghostly Sword on him?

How do you close it after you open it? When using it, it eats up a small portion of the window. And I can't figure out how to make it go away when I'm done using it beside logging off.

Lol, If they ask as many questions here as they do me... :shock: I will feel bad later, but it takes the pressure off me. They have about 80k each coming into members. One is really REALLY wanting to do Construction, but I'm trying to deter him until he can make some more money. I got the fighter working on Slayer and quests so he can get Rune. As a side mission for the other one, since he already has 31 Mining, I'm going to try to get him to Mine Pure Ess. He is also a quester, so he will be ok for now. This is only going to tide them over for a short while (lol, until they realize how boring training is). Is Flax Picking still a viable option? Is Ranging Moss Giants still worth doing? I want to get them into Full Rune, Full Green Dhide and Full Splitbark as soon as possible. This way they will have all their bases covered when it comes to their combat options. This will take a bit of money, and I wanted to get them a hand up.

Ok, my girlfriend's two kids (ages 11 and 13) have just become members, and I am overwhelmed with their questions. So, I'm going to ask questions here and hopefully you all can help me help them. If not...I'll just sign them up with accounts and unleash them here. :twisted: Anyway, I made my first Million working with Larryr back in the day. Then I went on to make even more Millions off of the Shades of Mort'ton Minigame. However, with the Trade Restrictions (killed Larryr's Business) and the Grand Exchange (killed the Fine Cloth Market), I'm forever stuck trying to figure out how to help them make money. Most of my methods of money making are high-end level stuff like Blue Dhide Crafting. These guys...well...they are nubs...not going to lie to you. They have...um...no ranked skills lol. One is a wearing full Addy and has 31 Mining and has done all the Free Quest but Dragon Slayer. The other is ready to wear Rune, but lacks the quest points to do Dragon Slayer (and only likes the fight). But BOTH are trying desperately to make some cash. So... I submit to you...What ways of Money Making would you advise? Anything will be helpful. I got them to do Druidic Ritual and Wolf Whistle to unlock all their skills. And have them actively training Mining to 20, Crafting to 20 and Firemaking to 49 so they can get Tears of Guthix unlocked. Please help...or face their questions...one at a time...as they bombard this forum. Thanks guys!!! :thumbsup:

I thought anything that gets CS'd onto the GE gets put up for the Minimum price and sales do not effect its Gain/Loss %. So even if items get CS'd onto the GE and bought...it won't budge until someone puts up one for sale manually.

Has anyone tried the Ghostly Sword? Maybe spiritual weapons do more damage. Just guessing here. Sorry, I can't test it myself. Still at work. I'm thinking Ghostly Sword + Salve Ammy (e) + Upgraded Jennica's Ring.

Trust me, there was no way out. You can't start the fight without a WC Axe and Secetures. Once you get in, its either win the fight or teleport out. And I had neither. What sucked was the fact that there is a door that leads partly into the house. It was locked though, which meant, I couldn't even get out of range of the Range Attack it uses. So even Hometele is not optional. Bad day...

Ugh, I died last night. Alot of stupid mistakes at the Jade Vine all piled up and did me in. Sucked. I need help with a few items I lost: Where do I get a Nezzy Helm? Where do I get Magic Secutares? Which creatures drop the Obby Cape? Also, I lost about 2.8 Million in the process. I have 1.8 Million GP left in the bank. Alot of it I use for MTK (Which needs a full Refill of 750,000 GP) and other buy/sell options like Battle Staffs from Varrock Staff Store. My stats are in my Sig and I'm not for sure what I should do to make money these days. I've been more concentrated on my skills and have fallen out of the loop these days. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. And my story... I killed Bork and used my last teletab to get to my house, jumped through the Ardy Portal. I walk to the bank and dump my stuff from Bork, pull out my D Axe (with Whip still equiped) and an Anti-Poison. While I'm dumping the Gems, for some reason, I dumped all my Monks into the bank. Having no teleports, I started the fight with the Jade Vine at about half health (45/89 HP). I use my Special on the D Axe and turn on Protection from Melee. Then I switch to my inventory to eat, and at this point, realize....I have no food...and no way out of the fight. I died and lost: Nezzy Helm Rune Plate Glory Ammy (t) Dragon Boots D Axe Obby Cape Rune Defender DDP++ Kept: D Legs Whip Barrow Gloves
