  1. QFT I don't know how many times, even with a guide, that I've overlooked an item. Then, when I'm half way through the quest and at a critical point... #-o DOH! Tele out to go get it...frustrating. OFF TOPIC: To be honest, when I first saw this thread, I was sure that the first post was going to get blasted to hell because the author said he uses guides. I'm very proud of the responses to this thread. Very mature with not a single attack of another's point of view on how to play the game. It's almost a rare sight. Also, to anyone that has figured out these quests on your own...BRAVO! =D> Sometimes, the logic of the quests throw me for a major loop. Not to mention the shear frustration of trial and error in tough areas (those that took the time to deal with MEP2 Light Maze and figured it out for the rest of us...again, BRAVO! =D> I've also noticed that I do the new quests the day they come out. Its kinda fun problem-solving with a team. Team questing is somewhat rare except for new quests. Even then its still a lot of every man for himself mode.
  2. I personally load up a guide. Get everything needed for it. Read through it to make sure I don't miss anything (like extra exp or Items like the Blurite Sword and Dark Dagger...DAMN YOU JAGEX!). Then get it done with extreme prejudice. I kinda like questing, but don't want to waste time getting them done. I do like when the quest is part of a new area. For example, I know how to get in and out of the Dense Jungle south of Shilo from my experience with the Legend's Quest verses say, Waterbirth Island. I've never been to any of the lower floors. Why? Because a quest didn't take me there. I have yet to see a Dag King in Runescape. Been a Quest Cape holder for awhile now.
  3. I've never posted here, so please be kind... Finally got to the Half Way point for a 99... Personal Best... Finished my 100th Task... And Slayer Points so far...
  4. I just don't get why roughly $6 a month is so hard for some. Paying the small price unlocks a ton of new areas, equipment and quests. I can probably find $6 in change in my couch. Mow a lawn/shovel snow once a month and you are set!
  5. NP ;) Tis Help & Advice!
  6. Yes you can do it again after the quest. Your Book of Binding will be in your POH Bookshelf. The gold bowl can be made again, I'm just not sure how because I just kept mine since the quest. I would advise reading over the Legend's Quest guide on how you make the gold bowl and just try that...as a first step anyway. If that doesn't work, then I can't really help you.
  7. Ixindor replied to gero204's topic in Help and Advice
Not sure about this, but what about the portal inside Uzer? If you can go back in there willingly after the quest (that's what I'm not sure about), then you would have a demonic place to chill complete with a demon corpse to worship!
  8. Its from the Legend's Quest. You use the Book of Binding to enchant a vial and then collect the water from the little pool in the middle of the dense forest just south of Shilo with the Gold Bowl. Then use the Water Filled Bowl with the Enchanted Vial... Ta Da! \
  9. Did you know... You can cure yourself of poison by teleporting to your house and then stepping through a Teleport Portal? (Posted it before the Mod Hack. Not sure if it is still here, but its not on the list)
  10. Thank you! To All: I need help getting the CC off the ground. Anyone care to help?
  11. Nice! If I could afford to buy a Bat Mask, I'd try to make a Batman outfit with the new Trick Emote... Then we'd have Batman, Robin and the Joker. Too bad the Cat Mast is more white than black.
  12. You idiot. Thread is several months old and hasn't been replied to in weeks. Someone can make a new one if they want ideas that badly. What's with the attitude? I'm simply bumping this thread because this is the time of year when players most often change their appearance in game. There are a bunch of awesome ideas in here and it shouldn't go to waste. You sir, must not know the forum rules very well. If I make another topic about this, it will get shut down and referenced back to an already existing topic (aka THIS ONE). You should really engage the brain before you post.
  13. Opening up a new CC for hunting Stars. Please promote it so the CC will begin to fill up. You can post your Mining Level/Telescopes here or you can PM me here or ingame. Locations are written out and a Star Map has been added to further assist players looking for Landing Locations. Happy Hunting!
  14. Since Halloween is in a couple of days, thought I'd bump up this post to see if anyone wants ideas for outfits.
  15. Hmm, that really depends on the situation. I have a couple friends who became Mods way later. They are really good people and I have nothing bad to say about them. I've also never seen one abuse their powers in person. However, people like Zezima...that's a different story. I look up to Zezima. He's practically beaten the game. But does he deserve the Mod Status. Probably not. It makes me wonder if when he gets a crowd around him that just want to stand next to a God...does he start muting people? I haven't heard any stories, but it makes me want to avoid him. If he is feels a little irritable, will he drop punishment upon his fans? Again, I guess it depends on the situation...
  16. I just dropped 7.5M in there a week ago. 10 on Fish, 5 on Mining. I check it every other day, so it never drops below 98%. I will post the results when the money runs out (which is probably going to be like 6 Months from now : ).
  17. Can I get the specs to your computer? Those graphix are quite impressive. That's got to be the sharpest looking pics I've ever seen.
  18. If this is for various witches around Runescape, there are a few that have been missed so far. There's a witch in Draynor (Aggie), a witch in Rimmington (from Witch's Potion Quest) and one in the Temple of Ikov (Teleports you across the water). I can't check them out because I'm stuck at work...
  19. Here's one for later down the road... When you get to 111 Combat and 70 Agility, I'd recommend Blue Dragons under Taverly. From Fally West Bank, you can run their easily, use the Agility Shortcut (70 Agility) and with 111 Combat, you can just click on them without having to Right-Click. However, it can get competitive down there, but I have no problems with it. I use: Karils Top & Bottom, Glory Ammy, Robin, Ava's Accumulator, Snakeskin Boots, Zammy Book, Dark Gloves, RoW, and Iron Knives. Consistent, fast and cheap...(except for Robin and Zammy Book...Got Robin from Clue and Zammy Book way back in the day when it was cheap)
  20. [hide=Quotes and Namecalling] I do PK. Stated that in the other thread. You sir, must not be able to read or something. Better get that checked on...hope its not contagious. Anyway. I do PK (repeated for retention). I've seen these "Honor PKers." They want me to play buy their rules? I think not. Even with "No Prayers Allowed" how the hell am I to know you aren't using Piety? Food only, no Pots...how am I to know you don't have Barbarian Pots (animation's the same...wouldn't be able to tell). I trust no one except my Clanmates and a select few friends. When I see this kind of behavior, I see liars trying to lure me out of my earned equipment. No Thanks. Good luck finding some that will line up for your knock out, cuz it sure as hell isn't going to be me. Whoo, retort time again already? 1) You pk with THOSE stats? 2) "No prayers" means the protect-from-style prayers, not all prayers. 3) Who in their right mind would fight WITHOUT potions? That's a deathwish. 4) Don't want to be "lured"? Or knocked out? Good, then get the hell out of PvP worlds. Edit: As a final post on this [cabbage] of a thread, I'd guess that 95% of this forum is made of skillers. NONE of you know the first thing about pking. You believe that anything goes is the ultimatum of the rules, when in fact it makes pking not worth it. If both players fight, safe, pray, and run, NO ONE WOULD GET ANYTHING. Your definition of pking is a lose-lose situation, and perhaps that's why you hate it so much. I don't safe or pray because I don't want my opponent to; I want an exciting fight that I can go "Damn that was fun" whether I live or die. If you care about item loss, don't pk. If you care about slightly altering your fighting style to actually give the fight an element of variety and a chance of it ending in someone's death, turn off your protect from melee. Let your health drop below 75%. Don't slam the tab when your chances look bleak. Fight to the death and have fun doing it. And, if making the match a 0-fest and a stalemate is fun to you, don't drag real pkers down with you. Your "honor code" is complete BS. A farce pulled out of your [wagon] to troll pkers and make an argument appealing to the skiller-engorged forum that this is. I'm headed back to RSC, at least more than 10ish people know a few things about pking there. [/hide] First off: 1) Yes my stats work just fine for me 2) I've seen different variations  3) Again, its an option (no popular, much like the code itself  ) 4) I like the PvP worlds, no sense leaving it when I have an advantage  This honor code is what you diehard PKers use for Death Matches. And since no one has stated the obvious yet. A Death Match and general PKing are different. I've never seen the point of this, but back in the day, people used to DM. And IF both parties didn't break the code, someone died and the other got their items. Let me first say, I thought this was rather pointless. That's just my opinion. When players DM'd, USUALLY, they didn't have their best items (excluding the extremely rich). When the fight was over, the winning player got the items (thus getting bragging rights and some money). To me, that made the players weaker because their best items were safe in the bank and the only items up for grabs were what they could afford to lose. Back in the same day...The Duel Arena was there. You could have simply staked the value of your armors/weapons/supplies...AND enforced what ever code you agreed on...AND had a guaranteed outcome without fear of either party breaking the code. At the old Duel Arena you could use your best items or not. It was your choice. Now obviously we can't do that anymore. The Duel Arena is not the same as it was back then. If you do a DM in the new PvP Worlds, even if you die, there is no guarantee that your opponent will get anything good. DM'ing is even more pointless. Now, I have seen players asking for DM's (fair fights) and if someone chooses to agree, that is their business. You can't ask the rest of us to do it though. We have the freedom to NOT do what you ask. Again, this goes back to the people that lie and deceive. They are ruining it for you. Last night, I had a guy outside Draynor asking for a fight (not with me, but in general). He was 122. I looked him up in the high scores (while I was in the bank) and noted his 99 Magic AND 99 Range. He had on Verac's Armor and a Whip. I'm not going to willing agree to his rules and then step out to my demise, KNOWING he has 99 Magic and Range! He actually might have only wanted to Melee, but god only knows what he had in his inventory and whether or not he intended to use them. That's nowhere near the honor code. 1. Of course you can use food, that'd be just plain stupid otherwise. The honor code is not safing. 2. Everyone uses pots...Have you ever seen MB inventories for most people? it's like 8 brews and 4 sharks. 3. No protection prayer, but you can piety/protect item 4. Hardly anyone uses familiars when pking (unless maybe at mage bank, I haven't been there much since pvp) 5. A little bit shaky on this one, but i'm pretty sure you can run with no food 6. That's basically right If it's all the things you said, then  If it's closer to the things I said  And to elaborate on this...Read the first post completely. I said... Still smarter than the average [hide=]PKer...[/hide] Oh wait, I meant bear...
  21. I wonder what Jagex's response to all this is? They are being awfully quiet...
  22. If he is attacking multiple monsters, then that means their attention will be on him. I'd focus on picking off the ones that aren't being attacked but are trained on him. If that don't work, hop...not much you can do about it.
  23. I do PK. Once again, IDIOT. Your earned equipment? Pking is dangerous kid, you can lose your stuff, live with it, and don't take anything you can't afford to lose. Stop whining, your thread is a big fail, like this:  (Guess you have 12 then idiot). Don't pk if you think everyone is a liar. In fact, PLEASE click the small x on the right corner of your browser right now, and never log into rs or this site again. You sir are a loser. I don't need to find anyone to "line up for my knock out". You don't pk even if you said you did. You know nothing about pking. I have wasted enough time trying to make that clear. Just thought I'd point out that name calling is the first sign that you've lost the fight. Funny how people resort to such things. I do understand the risk of losing my stuff. I also understand the value of saving it if I can. I can continue to PK if I don't have to go get all my stuff over again.
  24. That...in and of itself is a contradictory statement. Why have the rules exist if we need not follow them?!? #-o Its called an example. The point is...no matter where you go, Multi or not...if you choose to have an honor system and hang out in numbers, with out it being enforced (aka the Worlds enforce the various rule types) you are just fodder for the players that play the way they want. You will be forced to abandon any type of honor system you use in these areas...or die. You are right. You abandon your honor system to annoy/win/die. Proving my point. These ideas of yours can't be enforced. Player do what they need to survive. Just the way it is. I really do admire your passion about it, but its just not possible without it being actually IMPLEMENTED into the system (World). Pardon me for being the voice of reason... :?
