  1. Airplane, Blazing Saddles (even though I didn't get half the jokes), Die Hard, Slapshot, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and a bunch of John Wayne movies I used to watch with my Grandpa. They're innumerable.
  2. Because most lawyers are children. Yeah, you nailed it on the head. That's totally what I was aiming at. I just picture this as a useless event that'll be in the Kangaroo Court style. I'm just sick of lame updates.
  3. Whose fault is that, then: Media or Obama? Your posts always make me laugh haha.
  4. Rosetta Stoned by Tool. Perfect song to start off the afternoon with.
  5. I don't think I'd venture to say that Runescape has NPCs that are "mentally complex". They're designed to say and do things. I'm talking about themes, not the mental complexity of an avatar.
  6. I doubt he'll be as good as people think he will be, but jeez, he's only had office for 9 months. I'm sure a lot of the things he's starting aren't even in committee yet. It's not like he has a magic wand that he can point at Congress and go *poof new law*. Things take time.
  7. I can. It'll probably involve court cases with Penguins and other childish NPC's. I don't mind that Runescape has a childish element to it; it keeps things fresh sometimes. It just seems like they're coming out with updates lately that are lacking in substance.
  8. I thought Jagex was supposed to stop aiming updates towards children. Seems like the ones lately have kind of been childish. I wouldn't want anything to do with this minigame/event.
  9. I gained a bunch of weight when I went to university. Here's how it works: I played 2 sports (hockey and tennis) plus I was in competitive marching band and I would run during the summer with my friends. I was able to eat anything I wanted to anytime I wanted to because I burned it off. Each of my practices were around 2 and a half hours for my sports and obviously running a few miles burns calories. Now when I started at the university, I didn't play 2 sports and was not in competitive marching band either. I still was able to eat the same amount of food as I had been before, I just didn't burn it off. I gained probably 15 pounds or so. Since then, though, I've dropped 30 pounds because I took up cycling and I work out almost every day. I weigh less than I did in high school (granted I probably have less muscle mass since I don't lift anymore).
  10. I drum in a band that plays a lot and we practice in my basement. I've got a huge 7-piece kit that has the capability to drown out any and all other instruments. I can tell you no matter how soft he plays, it's going to be loud. You're going to simply need a bigger playing area. Before we re-modeled our basement, I left my set up at my high school and we just practiced in the band room there. Nice open area and your gear will be relatively safe.
  11. There's no exaggeration in what I said and I'm not putting myself up for editing yours or anyone's articles for the Tip.It Times. I enjoy reading articles, just not bad ones. I swear, anytime anyone criticizes anything around here, people get so up in arms. Just because I criticize yours or anyone's work, does not mean that I have to somehow take your position in writing, nor Racheya's position in editing. Take it with a grain of salt and write something better next week.
  12. Oh right, I forgot. There's no such thing as negativity allowed in response to anything put out by Tip.It. My bad.
  13. It wasn't a 'small slip', it was a major error in writing, and besides, that was just the mistake in the first sentence. There are multiple run-on sentences and grammar mistakes throughout the article. If the mechanics of the writing distract a reader from the point the article was trying to make, it is a bad article. I'm sorry, but the "we're not in English class" argument isn't going to cut it here. He just sucks at writing and shouldn't be publishing articles with that lack of ability. And if you're the one that's proofreading, I think the staff needs someone else that will actually catch mistakes.
  14. First article was pretty decent but when I started reading the second....god. I couldn't even get through three paragraphs before closing my browser. It sounded like it was the first paper of a freshman in high school. My head hurts.
  15. There's not really much debate in OT except for a select few posters who know what they're talking about and can debate correctly. The rest of it is just annoying, uneducated opinion shouting.
  16. The new skill is going to simply be "Bull [cabbage]".
  17. Haha I can affirm that. I had a buddy go to Dartmouth for a year and said [bleep] it and went to a smaller private school closer to home. He hated the kids there.
  18. If this is true, I'm laughing really hard. That game sounded like total crap to me anyways.
  19. After thinking about how much time I've spent on Runescape over the years, I've probably spent more time on TIF. I'd like to know my Adventurer's Log of forum use...
  20. Never liked BTBAM. I just couldn't see the appeal in them.
  21. Gravest Show on Earth by Bigelf These guys are pretty sweet.
