Real life help & advice
Oh yeah, you don't have to make one every hour, I'm just telling you for later. I don't think that title would be appropriate unless you plan on specializing in soft-boiled eggs alone.

Real life help & advice
I've been okay so far so I think I'll have to wait (or get some type of vaccine). I just made another and got it right. First, I pierced the bottom of the shell with a bass string (no idea where the sewing stuff went, but you're supposed to use a needle; it helps avoid splitting the egg, both by dropping it and cooking it). Then I put it in the pan, which was full of cold water. I put that on the stove at max temp, waited until it boiled then turned down the knob to about 7 (there are 10 units on my stove, idk about yours, I'd say bubbles covered about half the surface of the water). I stopped it three minutes and thirty seconds afterwards (I think about 3 minutes would have been good too), grabbed it with a spoon, cooled it in the sink, tapped it, cut it (shoot for about 4/10s of the height of the egg), and ate the bugger. Try to do this in some kind of receptacle because I just got some on my jeans.

I think the white is supposed to be firm enough to be able to cut off the top... In other words, you and I might have eaten some near-raw eggs.

Real life help & advice
That's great. Now whenever you feel like a snack you can try again. You could also try making bread, that's also very easy, doesn't take too much time, and it tastes great when it's fresh and warm. How did you open them? That was the toughest part for me, the knife literally didn't cut it, so I tapped the top with the spoon and then cut it off.

I have a friend from the suburbs who was supposed to meet a group of my friends downtown to get drunk on Canada Day. He came across homeless people on the way and they had beer, and then he never showed up. Apparently they were very nice people. I guess he can check "Drinking with hobos" off his bucket list.

Try this. If you mess it up, 10 minutes at most were wasted. And one egg. A serrated knife is one that has teeth, I think. Good luck. Mine didn't turn out too good. Remember: if you don't do anything to move yourself, you will stay inert forever. You can't count on chance for this: your life simply won't ever improve.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I'm 16, don't plan on having a car because Montreal has a great transit system, and those in my class (yes, one class per type of curriculum, not one a different class for different subjects) who have jobs aren't doing very well. I guess they don't have to hustle to get booze, but that's pretty much the end of it. Women aren't cumdumpsters. Be careful.

So say you're going swimming or walking on the beach and you want to take your shoes off... do you take your socks and shoes off that often? Maybe it's more of a cultural thing, because almost every young person in NZ/AUS has a pair of jandals or similar footwear. I usually don't wear socks with my Vans in the summer, and I never do at the beach. I grab my shoes and take them off. You're right, it's totally cultural, especially considering they were first adopted by NZ/Australia, but almost anything is cultural when it comes to clothing. And it's not like the rest of the world has a problem with flip-flops; I do. I like Docs. They look fine if you wear the right pants, i.e. ones which aren't too slim, so you don't look like you're on a pedestal. And they're virtually indestructible. There are many styles I can appreciate but wouldn't wear myself, and Oi! skinhead style is probably one of them.

Frayed or sewn edge? http://www.unrefinery.com/article/foppish-fads-you-can-safely-skip James' comment made me laugh a lot.

That being said, if you feel attraction for a guy and want to go through with it, you should. Just don't set your homosexuality in stone.

...But it's not more practical. It's unhealthy for your feet and causes you to take shorter strides. @ Shiny: I'm kind of over boat shoes. If you do get some try to get Sperrys instead. White chinos for nighttime parties are a recipe for disaster, I've had wine spat all over me before; I wear my darkest clothes at parties now, and I have one designated pair of [cabbage]ty socks, because if I didn't all my socks would become [cabbage]ty. If you get shorts, don't let them go higher than about an inch above your knee. OCBDs are always approved, but remember you don't have to go with solids only.

Real life help & advice
a) Regardless of what people think, do what you believe in. If you try to please everyone you'll be a watered-down version of yourself. b) Smile to people when you pass them by in the street. a) Makes you feel happy, chemically speaking b) Makes you realize you aren't repulsive as people will smile back most of the time. Don't put on a big grin though, people will think they don't remember who you are. c) Set some goals. Non-Runescape-related ones. And while you're at it, slow down a little on Runescape (if you're playing a lot that is). Write them down. On paper. With a pen. Not a pencil. It's harder to get distracted on paper. d) Groom properly (Put This On has a video for that; you don't need to go to the barber and get a massage though); pay attention to how you dress. Look good, feel good. If you want a list of style blogs, send me a message. e) Exercise. Also makes you feel very good, because you're doing something for yourself, and also releases endorphins. [Editor's note: I just went to see what the Art Of Manliness said on the subject; it's basically the above, plus:] You don't have to become an engineer. Do you cook? If you don't make yourself (heck, if you live with other people, make everyone) something simple to eat. It's always tastier when you stirred the pot yourself. If you think you'll mess up and your lemon sherbet will turn into a brick of lemon-y ice (true story), try it for yourself, then for others. This needs to be stressed: if you can't think of anything, think harder. It doesn't matter if it happened long ago: you did things others were incapable of doing at some point, and you need to write those things down. Get a piece of paper out. Now. You're probably reading this with the unconscious plan to think it through and decide later. Don't, you'll just forget. Especially if you're on your computer all day like me, you'll be attacked with so much information you won't decide at all, which is just like deciding not to do it. So get a piece of paper out right now. h) Last but not least, when you're with people, don't be obnoxious. People don't like self-deprecation unless there's not a single chance you might be serious; then it's awkward. Force yourself not to say negative things, and soon it'll come naturally. You'll even make jokes.

Maybe she wants to take it slow. RPG, you should explain yourself before they find out, so you get to make your case. Now she'll probably not let you say a word. You have to be aware that if you're not going to play by the rules people are used to, you have to give them a hint at least.

I wear Authentics to the pool or when I'm near/going in the river, and it has never occurred to me that they were unpractical. Most people I know don't dress well. All names you can give this type of footwear are stupid, but none are as evocative of the annoying sound they make as "flip-flop". And to boot (pun unintended), they're uncomfortable as can be.

I've cried during the original Pokémon movie. The screen was very bright, but to this day my parents think it's because Pikachu was letting his clone slap him.

What genre of music do you like?
You should try, it's pretty cool to see how songs you listened to independently are actually tied together in an album. That's assuming the songs you don't have aren't filler though.

Drinking/Drugs
You should try rum and coke. It's more palatable than most other mixes, I find. Long island iced tea too, strangely.

But you live in Canada, so they have little practicality there, surely? Here they're great for the summer, going to the beach etc. It's 30°C here in the summer, it's not like we're immune to heat or whatever. People wear them a lot, though a lot less than in Australia.

Flip flops lol? Anyway, yeah, it's not a code or anything, it's just a number. 510 is super skinny, 511 is skinny, 514 is slim straight, 501 is original. Those are the only ones I know.
