  1. I think it was in this thread, too. http://cellar.org/showthread.php?p=673516 It would explain that I don't move at all when I sleep. But I'm still, I'm still, an animal!

I have a friend whose eyes are like that. He had to wear an eye patch all throughout primary school to try and fix it. When it didn't get fixed, the doctor just gave him glasses with two different lenses  I was born cross-eyed, and I got a surgery to fix it, but it left my eye weaker. And now, I'm slightly cross-eyed again, but in the opposite direction. [hide][/hide] Like that, but not nearly as obvious. I have a similar problem, except it's my right eye that sucks. I tried a contact, but I couldn't put it, so I gave up. SO I pretty much have monocular vision. It's getting way worse though, so I think I might get glasses. I really don't think I could be bothered putting a contact in and out every day, so I'd kinda prefer glasses. I had a hard time putting it in the first time, I thought it was going to hurt. It was pretty uncomfortable at first but after a few drops of lubricant it was better. Yes, this is how I typed my post the first time. I reread it and decided I would not change it.
  3. Exactly, this should be such a minor issue that you wouldn't have to think about it for more than 15 minutes to decide what to do.

I'm going to finish an LP (as in, large piece, not long play) that has been waiting to be released for far too long. Art takes so much effort sometimes.
  5. There's nothing to be afraid of, she'll understand. Don't be scared to take a stand for yourself in situations like these. It's not far from vital. @Dionysus (nice name!): Same thing here. Get her to pay half every time, or to pay you back.

Today is my first day with my contact on. Yeah, only one contact. My right eye is almost 20/20, my left blurs past like 3 feet.

Am I the only one who saw the video in which the cyberpolice is mentioned and felt bad for the girl?

I see what you mean and it did cross my mind that I learned how I shouldn't act to my family. I obviously can't say for sure, but I could have learned that from a good dad as well, I think. Thanks for your comment. @Lateralus: that has less to do with parents messing you up than everyone being prone to having to deal with problems at some time in their life. An orphan will not necessarily have an easier life. Misery will be passed down to you regardless of how you grow up, from one source or another; so will happiness.

    Who's Zach?
  13. Why? It's a great source of advice. Some people have experience in places you don't have, and they can help you figure out what to do when problems arise.

Do you remember your dad at all?

Don't get me wrong, it's no life-threatening issue. I'm not breaking down in the middle of class because of it. But it's a different setting and way to grow. I'm not complaining about it, I just want to discuss it. Bows, please don't be rude. There's no need to convince him of anything, is there? If he's wrong, I'm sure it won't really affect your life.

Paw, are you saying there's literally nothing to learn or recieve from a father? Who teaches you your life lessons? I'm not denying you can learn all of this on your own, anything can be, but it's obviously harder. A father or a father figure should give you part of that education.

Being hurt is one thing; missing out is another. [Edit] Oh and chill out guys, no need to get angry.

When I was thirteen, my mother, sister and I fled our apartment to get away from our father; we went to school and never came back. He was abusive and might have had too much to drink every once in a while. We stayed at a home for people like us for a while, until things settled down and we moved into our own house. Upon reading this article, I realized I haven't had a father figure in my life for the past three years. That's okay; I'm not the first to live without a dad or with an abusive one, and I am in no way asking for pity. But I've come to grips with how important this man is in a child's life. Today is one of the days during which I become the person I will be in a handful of years; it's happening right now, and tomorrow as well. But I have no guidance, no one to emulate, no advice to follow. I miss my dad, or rather, I miss the person my dad should and could have been. The solution to my problem is in the article; in fact, it's in the title. That's not what I'm asking for, I just want to hear what you have to say about your parents, what they did and didn't teach you, what you wish they'd showed you and what you regret they let you see.
  19. That's what she said. A for effort.
  20. I meant if the guy she's dating is a jerk, especially an abusive one. If not, then you're the jerk for selfishly putting your attraction for a girl before the guy's love/feelings. There's plenty of other girls out there, and it would be easier for you to move on than for him.
  21. If you ever get with her, ask her to do it, acknowledge it sounds shallow. There's no way to go around it really. And she might not want to do it (especially if one of you is looking for something short-term); plucking the odd hair is pretty painful at times, I can't imagine what waxing would be like.
  22. Only the right thing if the bf is a douche. It's not worth making him hurt to get her when there's plenty of girls out there.
  23. Oh man, that movie tore me apart inside.
  24. Nope, I do it too. Also, because asking one set of twins about whether or not guys are an issue for them wasn't enough, I asked another 2 sets (I know a lot of twins) Anyway, one (my ex) said that it's not that big of an issue with her and her sister, but ALL of the guys she's gone out with except me ended up asking her sister out. The other girls said that they've gotten into pretty big fights over guys. Cool, thanks for asking :P
