You sound like the kind of guy that doesn't interact with people you don't like in any shape of form, is the sight of them what offends you? [Edit] I'm on a roll of new page beginnings lately.

Yeah, I think the main theme is already out, if not more.
  3. Well by that point she'll stop needing a boyfriend to feel good, or at least that's how it's supposed to work out. Nothing works out like it's supposed to. ;) She'll probably freak out. People normally would if they become so dependent on others that they must have a girlfriend/boyfriend to feel useful. By freaking out, I'm talking about constant texting and phone calls and maybe even suicide threats if she's really depressed and obsessive enough. Nah, it won't be that bad. I've been with her for a month, we didn't consider each other bfs/gfs yet. Either way, that's the least harmful solution I could come up with. I don't really think there was a better way to handle it.

[hide=Caribou - Odessa {psych-pop/indie}]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq_tDOFU5tY[/hide] Can we start putting videos in hide tags? This thread is a pain to scroll.
  5. rsautohater, can you ask them?

Jackthreads is having a denim sale right now. If you want to grab some jeans for 50-70% off and you're in the US/Canada, take a look.
  7. @Cheese: I'd attract her but before asking her out, but if you think that's already done then yeah, ask her out. Your friends won't think less of you, they'll just say she's annoying more often, behind your back and hers. And if they do think less of you, they're douchebags, don't hang out with them. I wonder if twins get jealous of each other's bfs sometimes.
  8. What are your chances as an indie artist compared to a signed artist?

    I'm hoping for early 2011.

Yes, I have. They're working on the soundtrack for Mr. Oizo's new film, Rubber (or at least, Gaspard is). It actually looks pretty funny. And then they're releasing their new LP <3
  12. Hmm. That sounded demented and scary.
  13. Very clever, although that's not going to help her with her drinking issue, if she really does have a problem. Oh well. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't, I guess. No, I don't think she likes me enough for it to get that bad. She started drinking too much when her ex dumped her. I think it would hurt her less than breaking up with her right now. She feels worthless when she doesn't have a guy.

Since when do I dress classy? Oh, and I don't wear trendy clothing, or at least not to fit with the trend. [Edit] Oh, and it's cheap because it's from a thrift store. Paying a lot for your clothing doesn't mean you have good style. People pay a lot for designer clothing because 1) it's good quality 2) they're willing to pay that much. I'm not.
  15. The girl I was dating not long (a week?) ago has confidence issues. I told her we were taking a break so she could work on that and her drinking problem and she's cool with it, but the truth is I don't like her all that much anymore. If she tries to get back with me later, I'm not going to accept it.

I FINALLY FOUND HER <3 So I went looking for a cheap leather or ribbon belt through vintage shops and thrift stores for the 5th time in two weeks. I wanted to check out some shops which were all aligned on the same street, but I only found one of them (which was closed). So I figured I'd just grab something to eat (as much as possible for under 3$ [my budget]) and leave. I get out of Metro with a thousand calories under the form of a bag of chips, and lo and behold, the thrift store is right in front of me. I enter with 19 cents on me, finally find a nice belt, but it doesn't have the price on it. I go to the cash, glance at the sign saying "CASHIERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO CHANGE PRICES" and ask the woman, she says it's 99 cents, so I ask her if she can hold it. She says "We don't do holds, sorry." I said "Aw man, I had to buy chips, didn't I?". She gave me the belt for free. I'll come back and drop a dollar soon, and maybe get another belt on top :P

Justice - Genesis (Go Go Bizkitt! Remix) A dope club remix. Samples Mr. Oizo - Nazis (Justice Remix) as well I think.
  18. Laugh at them. I met some friends at the mall the other day, they were baked like a muffin. It's the best. It's easier if you carry munchies, or else they might not like you for making fun of them.

I don't understand why you guys hate the idea of changing so much. You say that as if it meant undertaking a herculean task out of which no good could come out for you. Those personality traits are traits that women find attractive, but also men. Literally, everyone likes that type of person, and I don't mean toolbags, I mean people who are friendly, funny, attractive in general; being a douche is a side effect of being attractive, not a part of it. You can have one without the other. Now, I understand your goal here isn't to please others, and I think that's respectable. But changing yourself, though it may take effort at first, is worth it because having more friends is more fun; girlfriends are a bonus. Let's put it this way: you can't count fun the same way you count pocket change. You don't generate dollars (or if you do, hit me up ;) ). You can generate fun. And when you do, you make people around you have fun, including you. The more fun you generate, the more people will surround you; the more friends. The more friends you have, the more sources of fun, and the the higher odds of being happy at any given moment. I hope that was clear, it took a lot of thinking.
  20. I really didn't catch onto that, what are you suggesting they sell?

Is she antisocial or does she just hate you?

[hide] Actually, it does. Well, depending on your idea of "perfectly good". A single blade shaves much better than multiple - which you've obviously figured out. There are people that are downright rabid about it. But learning how to shave properly is generally a skill that comes far later in life, so I have the added bonus of being younger than most folks that know this stuff. My grandfathers and dad and brother all shave badly. It's, unfortunately, become one of my pet peeves. And there are real shaving creams that cost five dollars - the aerosol stuff is so full of chemicals and just nasty-nast stuff that it doesn't actually protect your skin as a shaving cream (or soap) should. And with multiple blades, the theory is that the first pulls the hair up and the second cuts it, which more easily leads to ingrown hairs and razor burn. But even when I didn't shave like I do now, I never had razor burn ... Then again, you have to remember that no matter what you use, it's best to shave with the grain (for your first pass), and then on the next passes go against the grain and then the other two major directions. That will get you a good shave no matter what you use, yes. Perhaps you do that and that's why you say that. But if you head into a barber sometime and enjoy a straight razor shave from a professional, I guarantee you'll enjoy the closest, most luxurious shave of your life. It's an attempt to replicate that, although it's never quite the same at home. Personalization can make it better or worse.[/hide] Yeah, I think we can all agree that better razors are better than worse razors. It doesn't make them any more manly, you see what I mean? I think that no physical traits, other than strength and height (being built in general), can be attached to manliness. I can think of plenty of manly people with long hair, who dress metro, etc. It's about personality.
  23. Omar replied to DragnFly's topic in Off-Topic
I think that makes them cheap, not any more manly, weapon. Lent, look at your signature. The words Marlboro, matches, stubble, and sunset are a stereotype directly acquired from your culture. You associate them with badasses because you've seen badasses in that setting, with those specific traits and accessories. If those characters were dependant and weak instead, you'd abhor them. The razors you're mentioning may not come from movies, but they do come from your culture, and you probably associate them with great men.
  24. You're missing the point. I'm not a supporter of piracy, especially when it comes to inexpensive stuff like music and movies, but I firmly believe that as long as it's possible, people will do it. And the only way to cut it out efficiently is to cut out many freedoms, as exemplified by the possibility to have criminal thoughts.
  25. Omar replied to DragnFly's topic in Off-Topic
Guys, stop [bleep]ing. Just 'cause you disagree, doesn't mean you have to be caustic. I heavily disagree with Lent on certain things, doesn't mean I douse my comments in acid. [Edit] And by [bleep]ing I don't mean coitus, obviously.
