Ah it's a mess. Just post the link and (if you're using Chrome) hit the little shield thing in the address bar, then it'll show vids. Also that was Pie/istolethepie/CHAMPION who used it. What a loser that guy was, hey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQFWkEOOtw8 A Perfect Circle dropped an album this year. It's not mind-blowingly fantastic or anything, but it's still a great listen.

Initially reminded me of Elysian Fields, I don't mind it. As far as I'm concerned, album of the year has come, and it's Confidence Man's Confident Music for Confident People.

That's a weird way to spell Aqua's Barbie Girl.

This thread's no fun now that Youtube videos don't automatically load. Like People, by DZ Deathrays. This is how you get my attention, cast a former Wiggle in your video.

Confidence Man are back and I'm still loving them. Fantastic and strange video, too. And the award for the album I'm most excited for that I didn't know was happening until a few days ago goes to Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile. Two great tracks from two. Also Slutface dropped their debut, full of great tracks. I'll have to have a few more listens before I give a better opinion, but my first run through was rather enjoyable.

Hey my last post was on the last page. Things have changed since then, I read a lot more often now, though still not a ridiculous amount. I finished Tripwire, it was pretty neat-o, and I read another of his books, which was Die Trying, I think? I've got A Wanted Man on the bookshelf ready to go, but I've been delving into other things. I enjoy Jack Reacher books, for however simple they are. Since then, however, I've also reeeeeead: Both The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, the Witcher books. Brilliant short story collections, which is good for someone with a low attention span. Some really, really fantastic short stories which also gave me a greater appreciation for the games. Intending to get the actual novels when they're cheap and I'm willing to burn some cash. Both 1984 and Animal Farm. Understanding a million 1984 references now, I'd seen the movie years ago, but forgotten near all of it. Really gripping story, and actually caught me off guard in regards to the ending (I assumed it as a possibility, but never thought how it'd go down). I read through Animal Farm in a morning, just a solid, short hit of goodness. Read Matthew Reilly's Scarecrow. I think he's an Aussie author. I wasn't fond of it. It all seemed a little silly. Something over the top led into something ridiculous and over the top which led into something even more ridiculous and over the top. Too much action, not enough actual story for my liking. Read James Patterson's Toys. Also great for short attention spans, each chapter is like three pages. Smashed through it really quick because of that. Only problem was the ending, which defeated the entire purpose of the story, or so I thought, or maybe that's what James was aiming for. And the Hobbit. I've yet to see the second/third movie, but I have no idea how they stretched it into three. Great story, though. Love that the narrator (Is it Bilbo? Or Gandalf? I wasn't sure) just sorta talks to you at points, telling you that they're gonna go back and give gold to the eagles after they win the battle. Reading Girl with the Dragon Tattoo now. I've seen the movies (Both US and Swedish), but I can't for the life of me remember how it all goes down, which is fantastic.

Really enjoyed Stevo's album, it'll certainly earn a spot in the top five this year. And Alice Glass dropped a solo EP, and I loved it, despite everyone else seeming not to.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?

One of the blokes I work with picked up a PS4 recently that came with it, wasn't his sort of game, so I picked it up for 30 bucks, which is a great price for as-new here in Australia. I've installed it, but I've still been smashing FF, I might look into it tomorrow when I have the day off. -
I love overly long band/song/album names. Draws the eye, and I've found some excellent stuff that way. Loved that track too. Short and sweet. Also Mike Patton's done yet another thing, and it's in my contract that I must experience it. Heavy AF, and I'm digging it. Gonna listen to the album later.

I've been devouring Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age. Definitely the definitive way to experience this game, and I highly recommend it. With every passing moment, it solidifies its spot as one of my all-time favourite games (Top three for sure). I'm attempting a platinum trophy run, and that's gonna take me a long, long time, and surprisingly, that's a good thing for once. I essentially attempted this once long ago on PS2, and got probably 90% of the way through, with only some rare game and some marks left. Definitely will be my GOTY. -
New That Handsome Devil. Love when you stumble onto stuff you didn't even know you were excited for. Love the camera work and the acting here, as well as the song of course.

New 'Steven Wilson'. Really seems like a completely new vibe for him. Initial listen worried me, but coming back to it, I'm getting quite excited for the album. I think everyone having a good time in the video for this track got me into it. Ol' Steve's smiling and grooving even.

If I didn't download a virus trying to download Powerman 5000's When Worlds Collide on Limewire and scare myself out of music piracy for a few years, Linkin Park would have been the next band I would have downloaded. Never ended up getting properly into them, but I was a little upset regardless.
