You can change it to a black theme by going near the bottom of the page and selecting "deflection". Other than that, all there is at the moment is white themes. More skins are coming in the future though.

It's next to impossible to start a clan these days off of just your friendslist unless you are extremely popular. So I'd basically start off with one or two of the better members in the clan that's being pulled from and then bring in a good outsider. Really, if your staff trusts each other and the goals line up, you're good to go and that's what you have to look for. As for members, pulling from friends would be the first shot. Cba to name them.
