You solo 2.5 brid? You have a decent amount of prime loot there, so I'm guessing you cannon.

You should try solo 2.5-brid... it's a fair bit more profitable.

I agree with this. (Now I wait for TheAncient to pipe in and say "lolno you suck at X") I think something that drives me so much in RS is that I'm not satisfied with being mediocre (which I still consider myself to be sometimes in scape)

I guess that was a decent trip. If only I could have gotten a warrior. Got a ring of life with 5-6 rex kills left on trip and kinda jumped.

I think I have better rs friends than I had back "in the day." Nostalgia is the only thing to say otherwise.

Interesting. I seem to be getting more kills per hour (83/75 *60 is around 66), but I don't last as long. I'll try to up the brew count next time. It could also be my fail gear.

cbow. CLS is only good if you have a divine or ely, as rapier is better than CLS when using a defender.

Second ever solo 2.5-brid DK trip I need to get better at: -picking up HIDES! I thought they were 1.5k each until I price checked -using fewer brews. 75 minutes in a trip is far too short. -timing overloads. Overloading while tanking supreme isn't a good plan. Clue got me a cat staff. It apparently has street (400k ge), but I rather like the look, so I'll keep it.

You only have to survive one unknown attack. Just hide in the corner with auto-retaliate ON and mage pray.

120 combats would be nice. Pray too, just so frost bones are worth more again.

Good point. As a computer science major, I could argue that playing video games sparks my creativity in software that helps me much more in my field than reading fictional books would.

This year, I started playing runescape for most of the times I wanted to go get drunk/high. So far, my grades are much better, and I'm an overall happier person. Plus, I just tell people I'm staying away from alcohol to focus on grades, which I am. So yes, it's filling a void quite well. And to correct you on what makes the game and illegal drugs harmful: In a normal person, dopamine is released when you accomplish something. This is what makes you happy. Certain drugs can cause dopamine to be released falsely (mainly opiates), causing you to become happy without actually accomplishing anything. By giving you false accomplishments in Runescape such as leveling up and making money (which, many can argue, are not real), your brain releases little bits of dopamine, thinking you have actually accomplished something. Just like a person becomes addicted to a drug for the added dopamine they get every time they get "high," many of us get addicted to Runescape for the same reasons. Now people correct what I said, because I'm just going off of memory for a psych lecture I barely paid attention to.

I think it all boils down to anonymity and the fact that the average age of TIF is rising. Many people are now in high school or college, where they feel they are now much smarter and entitled to more. These two things, coupled together, give people a huge amount of arrogance, and when there are lots of arrogant people, they will flame or get onto others for not being as good at something as them.
