Such as I. In 174+some days I'm not sure how Jagex couldn't have improved on their idea. Guess what? Nobody cares about the graphics! Well, not more than proper gameplay, anyways.
  2. Of course I'd survive! Characters don't need food, drink, sleep, they could stand there till judgement day. It's just that it would be a horrendously bad game, a step below the current status.
  3. I don't get what you're trying to say. I'm not going to flame you because I've probably taken the wrong message here. Are you saying that you would like the game to be shut down so you can't play it? How does that make any sense? No. What I meant is that I'd rather play a good game for 6 months than a bad game... at all. Oh, and I hope that's not all you're not flaming me for. I don't want RS to shut down, but if it's useless right now it might as well shut down. What the JaGeX staff fails to grasp is that they did manage to slow down RWT and stop PKing, but this is definitely not the best way to do either. I don't think they're even trying to better the situation. Not being able to take gold and stuff in BH is a stroke of genius compared to whatever else they thought out... why not apply it to the regular wilderness? Mixing revenants into the wilderness in addition to the PKers already there would have solved almost half of the problem. Or, make 10-20 wildy levels of Revenants (quite densely, maybe even more difficult to kill than ATM) and then the PKing outside, so that those who kill others will have a harder time escaping. (Maybe let revenants seek out players based on possessed items' market value.) Do they wish to escape magically? No teleporting! Unbalanced trades? Load of bull! Instead, manually oversee these "unbalanced" trades! There is a difference between giving your friend a dragon axe because you're a rich bastard and between RWT! Or maybe a cap on unbalanced trades per a certain amount of time (5 per month? Still few but you don't give away rune sets every day, no?). Maybe even keep the 'dropped items over 3k invisible' thing. Ultimately, of course, this isn't going to stop RWT completely. But is RWT stopped right now? No! Normally I'd ask you guys to post this on the forums, but since Jagex doesn't give a flying rat's @ss about what players want, just don't bother. I just posted this so that some people would lighten up and not narrow down their vision to "bad game" and "RWT-ful game".
  4. Paying minimum wages and spending it all on coke, that's what they do.
  5. I could live without any members skill.
  6. RuneScape is not worthwhile doing. End of story.
  7. I was in Lumbridge, screwing around with noobs and newbs. (That's what I do now that it's the most fun for your buck) Suddenly I get a message. Scammer: Hi! Do you want to be a member? Me: Sure. Thanks! Scammer: Ok pay attention. I pay for 5 people. If you do what I say you can be one of them. Me: Okay! Please tell me what I have to do! (scammer doesn't respond for a minute. I start thinking maybe I was overenthusiastic. Then he does) Scammer: Ok, I know you don't trust me so I'll tell you my main's pw as well if you tell me yours. Me: What's your main like? *stalling* Scammer tells about his main. Me: OK, tell me your main's password and I'll tell me yours. Scammer: Sure. User is Curse7, password is lalal. What's yours then? The sad person I am, I checked for it in another window. Invalid user or password. Oh well, I tried. Scammer: Uh hello? Me: Yep. The password is: Me: sujko78 (or something, I told him the wrong password) Scammer: Kk thank you. Brb, but please log off first. Me: *logs off* Me: *logs back on half a minute later* Scammer: Wtf you lied! Me: Sorry, that was for my other acc. The pass is: Me: Ding! Lamest scam ever. At this point I decided to befriend the scammer. He was okay to talk to, we discussed a few more efficient scamming methods, and a few additional things like my mining outfit, the Lumbridge community etc. He didn't even beg or anything, for God's sake! (Okay, so I really just recommended him password guessing with all these anti-scam systems...) Oh, and I still am not scamming. Just... screwing around with noobs and newbs.
  8. I chose it because everyone here is intelligent and those who have never browsed these forums must be stupid... oh wait. I'm in a really sarcastic mood, damnit.
  9. The problem is not that it wasn't funny. (It wasn't.) The problem is that there are actually enough idiots on a clanchat so that they will believe it.
  10. I'd rather have RWT and pking back and have the game shut down in 6 months than play like this. Why? This way I won't play at all. Selfish? I think I speak for a lot of people here. Before people will cry to their mothers about this post, yeah, I'm not being 100% serious. Merely about... 50%.
  11. You have some true points, but I just wandered near the rune rocks on my first revenant hunting trip and guess what... only a revenant werewolf was even NEAR the place in the whole time, and that was kinda west from the place. I think I'll test this some time.
  12. Basically, that works.
  13. Well, let's see then this way... what are the reasons you could go in the wild, in f2p? 1. Mining rune (or anything else, for that matter). There, you can just carry 5 lobsters each trip and drop them when you get to the spot or when you need that extra space. Revenants might teleblock but if you have the food to survive you can easily run away - they don't bind that often. 2. Bounty hunter. That's a short trip and your chances are very little to encounter a revenant. If you do, and are paranoid, there is a bank at the BH place, so you can bank your stuff and get it out at the arena. 3. Everything else allows you to store enough food. I can't deny that f2pers can't hit 25's, you're right. What I'm saying, it's only fighting them that is hard. You can set up yourself to avoid revenants, which also involves paying constant attention and running away when you see a yellow dot in a place where there are no monsters usually. Someone once said that revenants can poison in f2p. If that would be true, then this would be a very reasonable rant, but there must have been a hidden update or something, as revenants for me do NOT poison. And I've been attacked by Orks, so it can't be just the high-end. As it is now, I don't think they're that bad. By the way, my revenant hunting character is low-level, and yet it still has enough HP to survive *two* of your worst revenant hits. Maybe unless already weakened. The only time revenants could be VERY nasty is when they gang up on you in multicombat.
  14. I almost feel ashamed to be f2p. :( The only f2p update I even really longed for was the bank space, and now I have plenty. (Even enough to keep my sets in components. That.)
  15. Bollocks. I'm f2p and I'm a revenant hunter. (Since there is nothing else I want to do in RuneScape with real pking gone, that's what I enjoy.) Have you ever seen my blog? You probably didn't, because it's crap, but now it's time to go to Blogscape, page 100 (give or take) and find it. It's one with about 3 posts. (I'm still doing it! Just not now) Also, Noodleman, wasn't it so that you can't carry loads of money in the wildy now? Maybe it was BH, but if yes... lie more please. Also, I would understand two vampires after each other (pk team) but I actually have trouble finding revenants I can attack.
  16. My comment: No. Revenants are just fine the way they are.
  17. Ok did you read at all? Plus the title gives it away. No, I just say: is this unique, or anything? By the way, how old are you? Noob is not a swear word.
  18. I'm f2p and I think that the wilderness has changed for the worse... yet revenant hunting is fun. By the way, revenants didn't poison me.
  19. I never repair people's grave unless they are in the wild - and if they're in the wild, I'll only repair it if I want to use my prayer points for something else. Strange, right? Well, if I don't want to use my prayer points I'll probably go in the wildy to mine something and in that case I'd rather have prayer for protect prayers, tyvm.
  20. Sorry, the one thing I didn't understand is the aim of this rant.
  21. As we know Purfishx is an idiot, and agreeing with an idiot makes you look idiotic. I'm really guilty of this thing though - I like being on my "homeworld" (a server where 1. all my friends play and 2. is not laggy for me), and I'll go far to defend it. I usually steal everything until I get it or realise it's totally hopeless. Not really problematic for me though, I have 68 mining and the guild has no such problem.
  22. No posts with 18 views? Is this typical? Apparently, the idea isn't as unique, or maybe just not as interesting as I thought. Well, then. I'll wait a bit more... if nothing happens, I'll NOT write a blog after all.
  23. Hello 'n' Welcome everyone! This is my first blog. I never really wanted to make a blog for skilling and stuff like that - too much hassle, really... I might also forget stuff, and I'm not that great at leveling either. And I don't play a lot, come to think of it. My character is still just a measly level 59, with decent strength and below average in the rest (44 attack, 40 defence, 43 magic) though I'm a bit better with noncombat skills (still, my highest is just 68 mining). My character is Janaak, chat is always on. However, with the recent updates I decided to quit - for a while. I did give away most of my stuff, but now I decided to make some money again. And why? Well, I couldn't really care for skilling or combat... maybe every once in a while. My real purpose is to test the new update in my way: killing revenants! Well, I did get some negative advice (Don't go) etc. Some of my friends just laughed at first when I told them I'll go revenant hunting. One of my friends, however, decided to accompany me. (I'm financing his efforts - we mostly go in cheap gear, though. It is obvious that my financial status isn't that good since my "quitting giveaway".) Also, two other friends are still thinking about it. I've already fought a few revenants and I find that the rumors are true. They are quite bad. I was underequipped, true, and I forgot to cook half of my inventory. =D> Yet he still showed its strength: I couldn't defeat the revenant icefiend. Not to mention the two hobgoblins that attacked me (one by one, luckily). That's why I am hoping that with better gear and/or some friends I'll be able to defeat some revenants - someone told me that members might get glories and stuff worth that amount from them, and I'm certain f2p doesn't miss out on all the fun. This blog is just starting of course - I'm still preparing. (Fishing loads of lobsters, making some money, even combining the two... that kind of stuff.) However, I hope I can have some success and more importantly, fun when the action starts. This blog won't be really pretty either. I'll take a few pictures if the blog takes off the ground, but I won't put lots of bling-bling in it. I won't hold parties for killing revenant knights, as I'm poor enough already. Donations are always welcome, HOWEVER, I'm not expecting anything from anyone, and I'm not relying on it either. (If you really want to donate, big bones would be the best!) I'll make most money with coal mining regardless of whether you are generous enough. Fellow revenant hunters are always welcome, but be aware that I can't outfit you with much, so if you want optimal gear you might want to get it for yourself. Also, trade restrictions. (I can buy you a few rune scimmies, but not a rune armour set.) There is no point to you coming if you are very high-level or very low-level, of course, as I don't want to go in deep and get attacked by Orks. As I said, if you want to find me, I'm Janaak. Chat is always on. NEVER SAY "HYT" TO ME. I'll put you on my ignorelist if you do. A normal greeting (Hello, Hi, even Wazzzzzup) will do. Revenants killed so far: Lower level revenants: 1 Revenant Icefiend Higher level revenants: None so far.
  24. And what if I want to have some f2p fun? I think poison is just damage, I can heal it with food until I run out of it, right? Well, revenants don't keep you frozen forever. Thanks to everyone who offered advice. I just tried attacking a revenant hobgoblin with that char. They're too much like real pkers: He hit me with a deadly range attack, so I went melee (after failing to impress him with crumble undead... just testing), then he kept "safing" as some call it, finally, at 1/4 hp he disappeared, and while I was going out of the wildy his twin attacked me. I'll have a tough job.
  25. And what if I really want to? A more elaborate answer please?
