This is just getting ridiculous.
Here's one line for Dragoonson&co.: get over it and exit the rants forum! Oh wait, I insulted you, I must be an idiot. :x If you come into the rants forum, you will want to rant about something, or read another person's rant and post an intelligent reply to it. If you can't stand ranters and their topics however, the door is open to you, not them.

Play to win already, scrubs.
Stop saying get over it. Why don't you get over your issue of feeling like you need to insult people when someone rants about something. Because apparently anyone over the intellectual age of 6 would find "get over it" as an insult nowadays. Get over it. But don't bother addressing the point I made, just go ahead and attack me for "insulting everyone", that will really make you look like the Tip.It white knight and wannabe mod of the year. Everyone be weary of that Omali, he's got them "issues". Issues of what? Spiderman I think. Thanks for playing, Missing the point entirely! Mr. Issues Omali, what you fail to realise is that I'm not here to "get over it". You can take your trolling elsewhere, you can go to Blogscape and tell people who got a 99 to "get over it", but here, I'll rant about stuff as much as I want and I won't stop because some crybabies just have a rant allergy. Also, I find it ironic that you call people wannabe mods yet you are the one spamming the same line to every ranter. People just don't want you in their rants putting them down, so get over it, mkay?

Should F2P Range Get A Boost?
How would a yew bow that nobody in p2p uses anyway cause them to lose money...? Most members are going to use crossbows, knives, cannons, chins, etc. Doh! Members won't go F2P because F2P gets a yew bow. But a F2Per has all that much less incentive to go become a member. I wonder how many would think, "I have no reason to buy membership. There is a bow that I can use at 40 range." When there are such items as Magic Bows, Crystal Bows, and far better armor sets and pieces at higher levels? I'm not talking anything big, but if the F2P gets a free bow, and members don't get anything, then surely people will not have any MORE incentive to go members, right? If anything, they'll have LESS.

Santa Hats skyrocket...and then plumet
It would have to be a damn lot of Santas to almost halve the price.

This is just getting ridiculous.
Get over it. Oh sorry, I didn't read the topic...? Sarcasm alert! On the forum I frequent the most many of the moderators are referred to as "former members of the SS". Sorry, but don't you think that YOU GUYS (not meaning the TC here) might have something to do with this?

Play to win already, scrubs.
As my previous post has been deleted for unknown reasons, I'll repost this again and again until my account gets banned or this topic deleted for even more unknown reasons: I'M GOING TO RANT HERE AS DAMN MUCH AS I PLEASE. Kthx?

Do we need more "Ultimate" weapons?
Membership makes F2P sort of more exciting.

The Finest Fist of Guthix Strategy Guide - UPDATED
To the guy who asked how to attack and kill with the hunter: click on your enemy, eat if you get hurt and still have bandages. As for some of my (F2P, probably universal) tips: -If you're facing someone stronger, consider saving the teleorb for when you have no bandages and little HP (->wallhugging). -I found that if someone uses the teleorb, and you don't click, you'll still follow him to the center if you already attacked him (or tried) with a constant attack before. This can lead you to easily following the guy, no need to search in the crowd. To defend, go in a portal chamber - the opponent will be confused (his character, not necessarily him). -If you saved the teleorb, you can use it to shorten the B-Line. -If you don't have protect prayer access (low level and all), use Rapid Heal inbetween fights. Doesn't eat much prayer, but every bit of HP helps in there. As a hunted, that is. -If the enemy is hiding in the crowd, and you can't attack him in melee with the right-click option: use magic and the right click menu with that. The list will be much shorter and odds are you'll find him that way. -If you are meleeing, ranging or autocasting someone, click Bind and prepare to cast it on him in case he runs. -P2P tip, use Snare/Entangle instead of Bind. -And finally, never give up! I've beat much higher levels in this game just by outsmarting them, knowing their tactics and adapting. And vice versa.

Play to win already, scrubs.
Scene: Fist of Guthix. Half a zillion players. But of them, quarter a zillion has just the same problem... They just don't get this freaking game! Runner noob, portal noob, they say. Can't the idiots finally grasp that the hunted has to evade, not deathmatch the hunter? Then they forfeit. Thanks for the free tokens, and the horrible abuse I get afterwards in the public chat, but I want to play the game, since I got my damn RC gloves and stuff already. And what if they don't forfeit and become the hunted next? Well, what? One of them just stood there and as he said, "took it like a man". After briefly smacking him down with my scimitar, I wondered - most likely they don't win a single game, except against a lower level of their kind. So why the hell play then? You're not even trying to win. I talked with one while running away from him - he said he wished this to be the old wildy instead. So do I, genius! But you don't have to play all stupid just because! I'm not just there for the tokens - in a game that almost totally fails otherwise, there is one good minigame which I wish to enjoy. What's it with these morons, then? *breathes*

Whats with the new lvl1 fishing?
A guy above asked why this isn't locked. Why did you bump it then?

Level 2 Mans or Level 2 Men?
In a street racing game there was this guy with a powerful ride called Manny... but probably not a nickname for "Man" either, or?
-
If you quit RS, what would YOU buy if you came back?
I'd hold a needle/tinderbox etc. drop party.

Level 2 Mans or Level 2 Men?
Isn't "mans" some card game expression? Anyways, joke topic.

REMOVE ALL BUT 1- Another lazy cop out by the j4gez
i agree, taking pking out of the game was a bad move on jagex's part, however, it was a necessary move. granted, it could have been executed in another way, but don't you think jagex will have considered this and decided upon the best possible option? regarding your second point, there's a reason cliches become cliches and that's because there tends to be a slight truth in them. also, how would updating mining with an update like that "complete" the skill? i'm all for valid suggestions, but the kid in the first post i quoted had none. i'm not saying jagex shouldn't touch the skills, but there's no point in changing what they've already got as most people on runescape nowadays seem totally averted to change. which, though increasing my post count, doesn't really do that much good. finally, how does a quest being easy make it marketed towards eight year olds? take the romeo and juliet quest as an example. simple quest, yet eight year olds are expected to understand the underlying shakespeare references? how, also, do the quests hardly relate to one another? there are at least five good quest series, if not many more. why am i even sticking up for jagex? i'm just arguing for the sake now. And so am I. I don't think Jagex considered ANYTHING about possible other solutions, they just chose the one that first came to mind. Do you really think that with the massive riots, protests and quittings, they did it right? About the quest series, there are a few quest series, right. Elemental Workshop, the Mourning's End thingy, and so on. But are there any series that consist of like, 5+ quests, or am I missing something? The quest series don't relate to each other very well, either, and between the other quests, the biggest relation is "complete quest A to get quest B". As for the Shakespeare thing, the 8-year old argument was a bad one by definition, but it reflected well that the quests are easy. Jagex hardly makes any high-level quests - aside from a few exceptions most can easily be solved by a mid-level with middling skills as well. I remember when Dream Mentor was released - combat level requirement 80, oh noes! All the low-level quest capers and the low-to-mid level people who just fail started protesting and threatening to quit (!), which does explain the lack of advanced quests - Jagex just goes for the variable that earns the most money in the short term, ignoring whether players will enjoy the game. (I find this a flawed reasoning though... won't those mid-levels eventually quit because of another bad update? And then Jagex will not have much more support...) Finally, for the skills. This part is pretty clear to me - if the game isn't changed for ten years, everyone will get bored of it. Again, however, why I finished that argument with an ironic command: Jagex just can't seem to realise what the players really want. People want high-level content, but Jagex just keeps releasing more and more quests which require level 20 smithing and 40 cooking. People kill it in 1 hour with a guide, 2 without, and then they're lucky if they can unlock a new area, which is soon proven useless. I don't know about Spirit of Summer, but I hardly noticed changes in this trend for a long time now. People, on the other hand, don't want the game to become easy, dumbed down etc. After the still tolerable cooking guild bank, however, Jagex will do multi-ore mining - thereby crashing ore prices as mining will once again be more popular... (I'm not talking about completing skills, I'm talking about changing skills here. Which would be needed, but at what cost, then?)

Most Hated of RS '08
- Do you care what you look like in RS?
Questionnaires topic, and I do try to make myself a nice outfit while doing normal skilling but if I need to exchange the parts of this outfit for something else I'll not hesitate to do so.- Ingame advertising.
Impossible. If you go onto an F2P server, you are an F2Per as long as you stay, capisce? Also, blocking the ads may be against the rules, but everyone does it.- Should F2P Range Get A Boost?
How would a yew bow that nobody in p2p uses anyway cause them to lose money...? Most members are going to use crossbows, knives, cannons, chins, etc. Doh! Members won't go F2P because F2P gets a yew bow. But a F2Per has all that much less incentive to go become a member.- Made My First Million :) How did you make yours?
Discounting skill advancements, money is always equally hard to make.- Should F2P Range Get A Boost?
Answer to topic: No. It would make less $$ for Jagex and anything else is irrelevant. I don't see the necessity anyways - one of the best F2P pures for BH is the range/2h, so range cannot be that bad, or?- The way we walk.
No, he didn't say that. Lern2read! He said "Perm muted a few months ago". I think it's impossible to fail much more than that. The walking is annoying, but it's not the worst in the graphics update. The worst is how our capes now flow all stupid, and how, when we stand, we seem like poorly manufactured statues of soldiers.- REMOVE ALL BUT 1- Another lazy cop out by the j4gez
-the bank update is fine. quit complaining. don't like it, don't use it. they're only moving the game forward by implementing it. -without the bugs in the HD option there would be no bug fixes. remember that the HD is still unfinished. again, moving the game forward. -which skills would you classify as "unfinished"? as far as i can see, most are pretty complete. and who cares if they've not changed since classic, classic was a great game in its prime. why fix what isn't broken? -you're using beta as an insult? i assume this is because you can't find any other faults. -i'm not even going to dignify that point with a response. actually, i am. compare the storylines to any other popular MMO. runescape has amazing quests compared to most of them. and yeah, regicide is really a plot aimed at eight year olds. -what would you rather have, your real life bank account (are you old enough to have one?) and BH, or regular old PKing and your bank account usurped? yeah, I'd like you to go on.# longest post you'll ever see from me. Lol. Nice Job. =D> =D> =D> What about no? About the BH part... the will to strike down on RWT is alright, but it doesn't justify a bad fix that causes more trouble to the legitimate players (those who like normal PKing at least) than to the RWTers, who find more and more ways to RWT - will this lead to every feature of the game being screwed up then? As for the skills argument... why fix what isn't broken? Speaking of cheesy lines, if you use something too much it breaks, no? But you are right, should Jagex update mining with a dragon pickaxe and a multiple ores per rock update, they'd just ruin that too, don't touch the skills! Finally, for the quests, I don't get this one. The quests hardly relate to each other, and yes, they are, aside from a few notable exceptions, EASY.- Cheats For Runescape?
Sorry, failed... Dream Mentor? The cheat would allow him to be level 3. I don't see that cheat and questing is not a skill :(- Favourite examine info?
God, that reminds me of this. - Do you care what you look like in RS?
