15 Aug 2008 - Future PvP Updates
Pures aren't designed for the element of surprise, are they? Pures were the dominant type of PKer simply because their 40 attack - 1 defence - X strength was the most efficient setup in F2P. Unless Jagex makes both defence and attack worth raising as much as strength this kind of pure will own the new PvP as well - and since I fear the 70+ armor will be P2P-only (no use skipping from 40 to 70, at any rate) there will be nothing to do about this. Of course, with my pretty decent pure this wouldn't make me too sad.

Could GP Become Obsolete?
Nonono. The reason GP became obsolete in Diablo 2: there was nothing to use it for except potions, which I hope isn't seen as something damn expensive, and gambling, which gave crap 99% of the time and the remaining 1% of the time it wasn't even that good still. Also, SoJs are long since not the currency, except on NL. Therefore you'd need to pay a lot of gold for one decent item in essence - which made it a pretty bad thing. Here, GP is not only not overinflated, but is also directly used for things like repairing Barrows armor. And should this happen Jagex will give an incentive to use it again, so in the whole this is a pretty useless assumption.

Possible locations for the 1% safe area?
TB should be reallowed, but most likely it won't. By the way, could you TB imps before it was removed?

Tip.It Times Presents: Why So Serious...
Not bad as far as Times articles go (which is to say, it's all newblets or people with crap accounts defending their own suckiness).

Possible locations for the 1% safe area?
Lumbridge only, I hope and suppose. 1% only means it's less than the maximum 100%. Perhaps the G.E., though I'd prefer to have it, and all banks other than the Lumby one, made inactive in that world.

15 Aug 2008 - Future PvP Updates
Most obnoxious post of the day. The PKers are very sorry for being king of their own realm, and you don't seriously mean you expect to walk here and there in peace in a PKer-infested world? At the very least it might stop and revert the fall that's been happening more and more drastically for a long time.

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
Why is TC tempbanned...? I can't see the QCape being viewed highly, most likely it will be another long, puzzle-ridden, but when it comes to combat, easy quest which will be farmed with guides.

You didn't seriously think Jagex is that smart? And there are no pures which can self-sustain, as it is certainly impossible to get your WC to 70 and go cut yews (and even easier for members)? Now that we're here... deny that this will be P2P-only, everyone. :)

15 Aug 2008 - Future PvP Updates
I think they'll only have 2-3 F2P PK worlds, and 1-2 P2P PK worlds, and so they hope that enough people will play in all of them. New servers are very likely, IMO. There's nothing stopping you from killing your friend over and over again. But the rewards you get from slaughter depend on your opponent's fighting strength AND wealth on-hand, and I imagine you wouldn't be rewarded that much on the second kill, as your friend lost his stuff. Again... what if your friend wears nothing or just crappy stuff? I'm sure you'll still get a respectable sum if your friend is higher-level.

Oh wait. What if unarmed/armored targets will walk into the area and let themselves get killed? A bit of trouble there.

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
Should have been something WOM, oh well. Crappy questers will now rant.

I'm happy about this, though also resentful since it took Jagex several months to catch up.

The Great Orb project: Be nice
I proceed to humiliate him with my idiot teammates and teach him that while courtesy is good, it doesn't pay off. Else he might get the wrong idea about things IRL.

Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?

Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
And let the game crash before Christmas because of JAGeX being accused of Credit Card Fraud. Sure seems fair to the people that don't cheat doesn't it? And to the original poster: Didn't you just make a thread in RuneScape Bugs and Suggestions that JAGeX should expand Bounty Hunter out of its area and into the whole of the Wilderness? Now you are saying it is a huge mistake. What side are you on? EDIT: Wow, 900th post. Nonono. My sarcastic post was trying to make one point: make RWTing legal by Jagex rules. No credit card fraud if people can RWT without fear of being banned, is there? Were you born a d**k macroer or did you have to work at it? As for RWT'ing they've done the best they can. The problem wasn't the macroers it was the Chinese players gathering raw materials like mad. I believe RWT'ing is pretty much stumped at the moment. As for BH a way of exchanging money, it's going to be a hell of a mess and what if someone wtfpwns them? They have done the best they can. And sorry people the wildy will never be back. But I do agree they need to find something to replace BH. Here is another narrow-minded, naive player who just wants to see the perfect, RWT and bot-less RuneScape. Our macro expert tells you several methods to RWT and you go "RWT is pretty much stumped". Wait, isn't there a little problem in this? For example, Jagex didn't address RWT properly? I just can't see how someone can wtfpwn the guy with the full Zammy, since there are probably some others protecting him. And if they've done the best they can it's time to change back or think of a better solution. They've not done enough.

The Wise Old Man - An Unsolved Mystery...POST ALL EVIDENCE!
I'd damn well hope for a quest or a series for the WOM, it might be worth renewing a membership for someone who quit, I suppose.

Last Death?
BH, I went in with very little though, and just as a test. Haven't lost anything, but some people think it fun to attack some lower-level who will drop nothing. It was long ago and was the last time I played that game. I suppose FoG doesn't count since you don't get anything from that death.

The Yellow Un-Repellable Orb Project...
Neither of which addresses the point of uneven teams. Those 5 must have been idiots, but apparently the yellows the TC was up against could actually play. It's like playing 3v5 CTF on a FPS game with close to equal skill levels to be honest...

Noobs say the funniest things!
Yeah, it's actually funny but when I looked at the first line it was the swear word, and not the asterisks that immediately popped into my mind. Anyway: Idiot: "wtf how am i and idiot" Speaks for itself.

More so called rioting?
Jagex stated that they won't change it back even if more 50% of their members quit. But whatever their limit would be, it would take more than 50% of the members, therefore, to organise an actually successful riot... that means several hundred thousand, which wouldn't fit onto all the worlds assuming 2000 people limits. I could see how a successful riot could be - I'd imagine something like blocking a certain spot or two for something 24/7, for example mining all the rune rocks all the time on every world, rap!ng BH even more than it already is, or something of the sort (the point being to block other players' enjoyment which Jagex has to step against) - but oh please, nobody actually believes this could happen? And most likely, even if it happened, Jagex would just ban a few to set an example and the riot would disperse.

The futures bright, The futures F2P?
I think they finally realised that this game and everybody will quit eventually, and so they are taking the first steps to making this game a self-sustaining free online game.
