Are you high? Some people enjoy efficiency. Let them have their happiness. 1. Run everywhere unless you need to be careful (Ape Atoll Dungeon) 2. Have a high agility level or else rule one will be super annoying 3. Join a random fairly well known players friend chat and stay there. Talking to people you know makes RS SO much more enjoyable. 4. Organize your bank well (I suggest a general tab *money and odds and ends* a magic tab, a fishing/food tab, a melee/slayer tab, a craft/mining/cons tab, a range tab, a herby/farm tab, a hunter/outfits tab *skillcapes, ardy cape, explorers ring go here*, and a summoning/temporary storage tab *drops from monsters that don't fit elsewhere like clues*) 5. DO MTK. It is consistent, easy money. Do both quests. 6. Have a high magic level. Teleports are super useful. 7. Have a decent construction level (55+). Mount a glory, make an altar, armor stand (repair barrows), have a portal room (I suggest kharyrll as a teleport so you can use house tele as a tele to canifis) and your house is a hub. 8. Ctrl - Alt - Delete > Task Manager > Set priority for java[Caution: Executable File] and *insert browser name here*[Caution: Executable File] to high. 9. Get a good computer. You play Runescape, you therefore spend a good amount of time on the computer, plus you probably use one for work/homework anyway. It is a worthwhile investment. 10. Get a decent internet connection. You can afford to play Runescape, a *decent* ISP isn't too much to ask. 11. Get a good mouse. 12. Home teleport now has no cooldown - free teleport near a bank, an altar, Al Kharid, and fairy rings (via Zanaris shed). 13. GET FAIRY RINGS. They save ENORMOUS amounts of time over... time. Free teleport straight to Miscellenia, Slayer Cave, Feldip Hills, Nardah, Canifis, etc.? Yes please. Great list. Thanks.

I did not see anything in your guide about this (my reading comprehension is probably lousy), but one thing I like about LRCs is the slayer experience. Strikers give over 300 slayer xp each. I don't know how that compares to other slayer assignments, but the strength xp, loot and slayer xp makes this one of my favorite assignments. Thoughts?

Can Hati the wolf gloves be used while chinning? If so, what kind of xp bonus would they give?
-
How long does it take the flowers, bushes and vine herbs to grow? How does the jadinko hunting xp compare to red chin xp? I can only do 4 traps at a time and wonder if I should train hunting on jadinkos (common or igneous atm) or train on red chins and then come back to jadinkos at level 80+? Great guide, btw.

Five years later this is a funny thread. What are Santa Hats now - over 100 million?

Great post.

I came to this guide looking for information about building that statue in my home. One thing that was not addressed (that I could find) is how many strange rocks you have to get to complete the statue, how long it might take and how much total xp you can expect if you complete the statue. So I have a long way to go, but I think you have to get 1680 strange rocks??? At my levels, that is around 6500 xp each. That comes to over 10 million total xp in the 15 different skills in bonus xp -- not including the actual xp I get seeking the stones and any increase in bonus xp I will get as my levels increase. Am I even close to correct? And how long does it take to get all the replica pieces? There are 56 total? I'm not sure. I still don't know what the statue does when it is completed. But I'm happy to not know until I complete mine. At my current rate I should have it completed some time in 2021.

use plain runite instead of diamond (e). never use dragon boots in the fight caves, they lower your ranged att. it'll be difficult with a prayer level that low, you'll probably run out of prayer potions :\ I'd like to mention how awesome it is that muggiwhplar is still responding to posts after four years.

So the "aggression zones" are not fixed. That explains a lot.

I apologize in advance for my dumb question. Can someone explain spamming kyatt scrolls? How does that work? Is this correct: Dismiss BoB familiar Summon Kyatt before Nomad's berserk phase Start clicking on a stack of spirit kyatt scrolls ???? Profit! Am I missing something? you dont click on the scrolls themselves, you use the special attack button (right click on your summ button and set special attack to left click.) click button, click on nomad. lather, rinse, repeat. Thanks Jesse. I suppose I should practice this somewhere else first...
-
I'm wondering where I need to stay if I do not want the monsters to be aggressive again.
-
I noticed this again the other day...I was meleeing black demons and they stopped being aggressive. Then I ran across the room to attack another one and they became aggressive again. This has happened with a lot of different monsters. So I started wondering if anyone had ever mapped out these "aggression zones." It would be helpful, imho, to know where those zones are -- especially for certain slayer tasks.

With lamps, penguins, ToG and unlocking extra dungeons, I have managed to reach level 50 dungeoneering. The problem is I've only played a little when it first came out. I'll be honest, I didn't like it at first. It seemed too complicated -- like I was expected to learn an entirely new Runescape. And it seems to me that Jagex made the game and instructions overly complicated. I've never played WoW, etc. so it was all new to me. Anyway, I'd like to learn dungeoneering but would rather get advice from fellow players and not the cumbersome Jagex instructions. I'd like to figure it out before the bonus xp weekend. So here is where I am now: I don't know what I should do. My dung is lvl 50 and my combat is lvl 124 (95/90/90/93 att/str/def/lp) and every other skill is 70-80. Maybe there is some way I can make the most of my situation and start building xp/tokens quickly. Thanks.

I'm pretty frustrated with dungeoneering. I had just got every level over 70. I had just gotten every song unlocked. My goals were to get my quest cape back and tackle Jad. I've really enjoyed runescape and have done just about everything. But the fact is, at least for me, I'm not interested in dungeoneering. I've only dungeoneered a few hours, but I really don't like it. Before when a new skill or new quest came out or a new part of the map opened up, I was excited to go try it. But I'm not excited about dungeoneering. It seems like a chore. I'm not trying to complain and I realize Jagex worked hard on it, but it just doesn't interest me the way other updates and additions have. So I've hardly played runescape at all since it came out.

I finally tried today for the first time. I am level 122 and got volcanic creatures as a slayer task so I decided to go for it. I went in full-screen safe mode after a fresh boot-up. I turned off music and also turned off any pop-up programs (updates, e-mail, etc.) I used full slayer helm, Karil's top and Verac's skirt. I also used enhanced Excalibur which helped a lot. I used rune crossbow and broad-tip bolts and switched to diamond (e) for Jad. I logged out several times at the beginning. This helped me regroup and calm down. but after wave 30, I did not log out again. I got to Jad with no problems. The enhanced excalibur was great if I ever got hit for much damage. I would just trap a 45 and goof around until the special charged up once or even twice to restore my hitpoints. By the time I got to jad, I had 1.25 range potions (I started with 3). I also had 2.25 Saras and 7 super restores. With EE I didn't need Saras until Jad. My problem was prayer switching. I got to the healers, but got hit twice. Trying to catch up with Saras and super restores while prayer switching was hard for me. If I had been at full health and stats when the healers came, I might have finished. I'll try again when I get volcanic creatures as a slayer task, but only after I practice prayer switching.

What about using dragon bones at the Ectofunctus? That would be a LOT of prayer xp...especially if you ground the bones before the weekend started. AT 2.7x XP that would be over 777 xp per dragon bone. I have 1000 dragon bones and if I can average 2.5 xp that would be around 750,000 prayer xp. Hmmmm...
