  1. There's at least one thread about it already. That just on the first page.
  2. By Science, we both mean statistics, I suppose. By subtle variables I mean, for instance, certain kinds of less serious crimes. In many occasions, those aren't reported to the police, and thus are not counted on the statistics. Numbers are way too absolute to measure wellness. Besides, that isn't a very good research. EDIT: I do my best, Carlo.

Haha, I totally agree. :P I even think cancer experts should go develop new GTAs as well.

Erm, I think you'll find that Bully was developed by Rockstar Vancouver (formerly Barking Dog Studios) - it is Rockstar North (formerly DMA Design) that does the GTA games. Aren't Rockstar North and Vancouver affiliates of the same group?
  5. I still don't quite get Proposal 2. #-o So, if you vote yes, you are voting against Affirmative Action and voting for the prohibition of discrimination by public institutions? That sounds contradictory. Usually, people who are against discrimination are for Affirmative Action, from what I know.
  6. Let me explain myself better then. I believe the list isn't accurate not only because only a handful of cities were considered, but because "the best city" isn't a cientifical concept. Better standards of health, education, pollution, etc are, but those don't mean a city is the best. There are much more subtle variables involved.
  7. Questions adressed to X seem to be quite trendy this season.

I would like better a new GTA instead of Bully. I hope this game fails miserably so Rockstar can spend all their time researching new GTAs. :)
  9. Yes.. that's why I wrote right in the first post 'In terms of quality of living.' Not preferences. Ok, I took that out. Reply as a human would do, now. Even because most cities in the world were kept out of the list.
  10. /ME SQUEEZEHELLYES KAYLA SO SO SO STRONGLY SHE EXPLODES /ME HUGS THE LITTLE CHUNKS OF YOU THAT NOW LIE ON THE FLOOR HAPPY BDAY KAYLA! :D
  11. Dam you, where's ENKHUIZEN? What defines it as the ''best'' city anyway? A lazy editor who doesn't do research. Clearly, they are just thinking of cities off of the top of thier heads. All 50 of the best cities to live in would have populations less than 100,000. Are you being sarcastic? I don't believe he is. Those aren't the actual 50 better cities to live in: of curse it'd be better to live in some small town up on the Swiss Alps. At least I'd prefer to. Also, assuming those are the 50 better cities to live in just based on numbers and statistics is pretty lame, if you ask me.

Why do you think his spelling has improved so much lately? :P Only kind of people I seriously dislike are false friends. People who pretend to be there for you just because it is convenient for them. I've actually spelt better lately due to people on DW being on my case enough. Ive used FF2.0 twice for TIF. I've*

  17. Literally just found this in a "What [music] is stuck in your head right now?"
  18. Total size: 36,5 GB Songs: 7503, about 500 albums. Longest track: Karn Evil 9 - Emerson, Lake and Palmer (29:38) Shortest track: Bag O'Nails - The Who (0:04) My library is 19 days long.
  19. Sure, Saddam deserves that. But I'd like to see other leaders hanged as well.
  20. Sorry about your mother, my father has Diabetes too. :( I suppose both the means of the war and of the stem cell researching would be too painful to accept, from your point of view. So wouldn't both be unacceptable?
  21. I'm not only talking about soldiers, I'm talking about civil deaths.
  22. That 'every embryo used in stem cell research is a life wasted' talk is one of the biggest loads of hypocrisy today in the world. Most people who don't support stem cell research are the people who support wars all across the world. That's not just hypocrisy, that's also incongruency: so a life of an embryo that, odds are, wouldn't even be born is worth more than the life of both foreigners and americans who host, or directly fight, a war?
  23. It is far more problematic individually, yeah. However, statistically it's a much smaller problem. And the government uses statistics to base it's decisions on.
  24. When I like one song, or an album very much, I listen to it way too many times in a very short period. After a few days of doing that I'm already tired of it. Then I don't manage to listen to it for over a month, and when I come back to listening it, I listen to it once in a while, as just another normal song. Does that happen to you too? Currently I'm tired of: Anything by Led Zeppelin and AC/DC Dire Straits - Walk of Life Deep Purple - Machine Head, In Rock Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon, Wish you Were Here, The Wall Rush - 2112 Haggard - Eppur Si Muove Lordi - Arockalipse Wolfmother
  25. Social liberalism as in the feminist movement, the acceptance of different religions, the acceptance of homosexuality and of relationships between people of different races and backgrounds? How are those things, or sexual 'deviance' (this sexual activity is deviant according to what besides the Bible? It's no obligation for people to take their lives in accordance to biblical rules.), harmful for society?
