  1. It was an april fools joke...so jagex probably intended the sailing stuff in it... I think the release date may be a bit farfetched but who knows, could be right...would be an economic logic date imo, a month before summer break...
  2. I don't know if you remember me, i used to fish with you in the fishing shop... I almost forgot about you man, but i'm just wondering if you're still playing? I lost my main account, but i'm mostly on my skiller called "callmemozes". Feel free to add him in game and say hi^^ Hope things are going well with you=) Xprozac
  3. I'm kinda confused about this... I'm f2p myself, and am close to 10m xp... i'm ok with more forum activity, but what i don't really understand is why lower the xp threshold with over 50% to a measly 5m xp (seriously, 5m isn't much) and right before a new skill will be released... The new skill is f2p as well, so there'll be more player reaching that 5m easily... Like someone said, level doesn't measure maturity, but i'm also guessing to give valid arguements and feedback ppl need some knowledge of the game, and for that i think 5m xp might not be enough. Just my opinion tho, but i think there could be alot less trolling and ranting if ppl knew what they were talking about.
  4. I wonder what fremmeniks are doing in f2p...aren't they supposed to be members npc's? and also they're pretty far from their homeland like i mentioned earlier... It looks weird... If it were f2p i'd expect white knight or something guarding the place...
  5. The flags look like autobot from Transformers movie... I haven't seen fremmeniks at work so far from their homeland, or am i wrong here?
  6. This is the one decent speculation i've seen so far...With reasonable proof too! Nice thread (= I'd like to ask tho, could someone explain what those "instanced worlds"? In simple language^^ Thanx
  7. So... is there a reason everyone is ignoring me :S? I think they removed the torso Str Bonus to upgrade the Defence Bonus. Now alot off people are panic buying BCP's and they go for 50m+ at world 2. They are probs hiding the rants. Thanks. that's not even the reason... JAgex posted the update on the main page 2 hours early, because of some mistake, and they removed it afterwards... It's topics on RSOF about that early released update that they tried to hide...
  8. Which could mean fish become more expensive as there will be less people training cooking on them. Which is a win for fishers. Wouldn't the opposite be more likely? raw fish becoming cheaper? as less fish is needed to get cooking up? and you say less ppl= less demand= price drop?
  9. [hide=] This. And also: Development Diaries ;) ;) They can't give that for every update, it removes the fun of surprise. But they are there for a reason. The hints they give in postbags (C.E. riddles and such) are enough of a clue on what updates are to follow. Ppl without patience want a timeline appearantly. I, on the otherhand, prefer to be surprised by them, and i don't mind waiting a couple of weeks, because I understand and respect the time that is put into developing/testing/fixing any update. Learn to enjoy what you have, putting up higher and higher expectations will only make you more disgruntled. The problem is, just because the Chaos E says something is coming out, it doesn't mean it's coming out even within the next freaking year... [/hide] There's no guarantee that the updates are coming soon, but it does give a view on what they're working on. The last C.E riddles were one (or two) weeks before the rag and bone man sequel was released... In my opinion having updates like last year and the year before puts alot of stress on the developers, and on every aspect in Jagex HQ. It doesn't matter how many updates they launch a week, bc player want that number of updates to be consistent...Ooooh unless a new skill comes out, then they're willing to wait a couple of weeks. I'm not so widely familiar with other MMORPG's, but i do think that RS is at the top involving updates rate. To some ppl that's just not enough.

  11. Sound of skilling is definitely a potential winner, but i think excl's entry may also be hard to beat. I hope Jagex makes some sort of compilation of the best vidz. Sound of skilling is a great concept, but its very repetitive. I think whoever made it could improve it dramatically and easily with more sounds. If that player composed that himself, that kudos to him. Using boring sounds from runescape and a simple melody, with a great result imo. I don't feel the repetitiveness.

  13. Wow your first? I gotta give you props for that one and it made me laugh, but i don't know if people at Jagex know Death Note  I don't know death note either, all i know is that it's anime right? well i don't think it's matter, for being a first machinima, yours looks damn good. some might have higher graphic quality entries, but i think yours is quite original, and i like it, alot=) Also, your voice acting...nicely done dude!
  14. This is a joke right? Someones going to jump out from behind a bush and yell "punk'd" righttt? I mean bloody hell comeon. If they are so worried about the spirit of the game then take away Mercher Clans. They are the biggest problem at the moment. The mini game is still being enjoyed as it was intended by most players, others just looking for tickets play it a different game. These gams are here to be played the way we want them. This is getting really [bleep] crazy. Any more idiocy like this BS and im giving up on RS. Well Slay, like ravian said. there's been a whole lot of discussion going on on this thread, but it's not about "z0mg rather fix merch clans"... It's not that easy. The thing is, is that merch clans don't operate through RSOF. They operate through cc's (and probably some fansites). It's hard to handle a merching clanchat, because if you ban one account, another will be made. Closing threads is something Jagex has more control over. Btw I'm sure Jagex is working out some way to get merching out of runescape. I just hope it's not going to be more limits. In the meanwhile they do have other things working, other bugs/flaws in the game and minigames that they fix. A priority would probably be merching clans yes, but it also requires alot more thinking. and more time. And more waiting. So be patient, I'm sure merch clans, like large scale RWT and macroing will be banned from the game soon. so you guys are telling me that its less hastle to go through hundreds of RSOF threads and look for one post that offers "tie cc's" rather than spending a minute on any world at the GE looking for for 10 people spamming Merch Clan CC's? Its not that hard. Ban the CC holder, if another is created, ban that. Keep on banning till they get the point. If they don't ever get the point just keep on banning. Sooner or later it will die down. I can't offer any constuctive critisism on the fact that people are more worried about "the spirit" of the game rather than "the rules" of the game. As said a few post earier "Is'nt it cleaner? As all they're trying to do is make fair game", when you oin a 50/50 cc you know what youre getting yourself into. You join the cc for the soul purpose of tying a game. In the end all is fair. Like another previous poster said, why fix something thats not broken? Sure, it might have some imperfections, but everything does. but that doesn't solve the problem does it? the problem with merchers is that they're on a far greater scale then minigame fixers. So they close down the threads, followed by an update to GOP. same will happen with merchers at some point. but banning accounts takes alot more energy. Also, you may ban the owner of the merch cc but they can easily switch to a different account of a friend or whatever. In that way it's something comparable to macroers of the old days. Ban one, and a new one takes it's place. but that doesn't fix the problem of merching,it will still go on, and they won't give up as long as they can make their account wealthy with it. Jagex isn't letting the merchers do whatever they want, they're working on it, because they know merching has a great impact on the economy. I think a chnnge to the grand exchange system is at hand. It's not as simple as just making ppl follow the rules of the game, if it's something in the runescape game design they have a lot of programming and testing to do. That's why it took so long to get rid of RWT'ing and botting, because they needed alot of testing and (re-)programming. The grand exchange is probably one of the hardest things, because it goes over the different worlds at the same time. Alot of ppl say "why fix something that isn't broken" but at the same time they say "it's a flaw in runescape design, why shouldn't we use it, it's not against the rules". If it's a flaw in the design, then Jagex, owner of runescape (and your account), has a right, and to alot of players a duty to fix that flaw.
  15. I have a feeling this is going to be hard to beat. I'm not entering, I have hard enough trouble posting pictures as .png =/ EDIT: [yt]NaDLcSsyxG8[/yt] And he misspelt Forsakenmage in the credits (unless there's another one)
  16. Ewwww. They changed the graphics on swords that much? Longswords* The rune longsword is held upwards, wich looks cooler, but that colour doesn't match my outfit :) No way, swords look much better held outwards. btw what the hell are those boots gloves and the hat? boots and gloves are from the santa outfit (2008 christmas event i think) I have no clue about the hat tho.
  17. Nice guide, although i probably won't mage them that fast. Something I'm wondering. isn't slayer dart effective no matter what magic attack bonus is? Whenever i used to dart at barrows player came up to me and said i should have tanking armour, bc i would hit high even with low mage bonus. Or is that just bc barrows bro's are pure tanks? Secondly, I would like to point out that on your prayer method, you're looking at it from a very self-centered view. The spots you're suggesting are often crowded in most worlds, and deciding to do half-kills will only get alot of frustration from other players. It may be cheaper, but in terms of fair play i wouldn't suggest it. that's your choice though. Also half killing at the Red-Xspot is only to your own disadvantage, because the pyrefiends and icefiends are almost the only ones there to finish the aviansies you started killing, and they kill slow, lol. you'll have faster respawns if you just kill them completely, so more kills/hour and more xp/hour.

  19. [hide=Ollyc3] Should have 6m Broads, though 1m have disappeared :) Edit ~ For those ppl pming (I cant add to chat my list is full), the loss was 402m as arrows are untradable.[/hide] Can't you sell them back to slayer masters?
  20. +1 Warren is spot on here. Play the games how they are supposed to be played if you want the rewards. Otherwise, don't play. Also kudos to Ravian with the list of updates that occurred this year. =D> +1 The thing is, Serephurus ad Sprout_teh_druid, is that you're going from the fact that what you are doing doesn't have any effect on any other player. I have to disagree with that, because fixed games are in my PERSONAL eyes a way of looking for backloops in games to get rewards fast, and therefore a way of cheating.Even if I'm the only one to think this (which i don't think), i won't change my stance on that. Also the comparison with woodcutting is completely off, because woodcutting is a skill, where you have a choice of getting xp through the skill, or leave woodcutting for what it is, and skip the rewards for higher lvl woodcutting (like cutting evil trees). There is no back-door to which you can skip the grinding lvls and just get 99 wc. Minigames however, are alike in the way that you can choose to do them, or not do them. Doing them in a way jagex didn't intend isn't one of those options. Bluntly, I think Jagex is making a statement, a damn good one. If you don't play the game like it's intended to be played, then you don't deserve to get the rewards.
  21. And another player, who also pays that 6 dollar a month, thinks that fixed games should be removed, for whatever reasons... So he will want the same as you, fun for his 6 dollars... following your logic it's also his right to claim that. But that would be the complete opposite of what you want. So you see, the arguement about the 6 dollars a month is useless, in every rant or discussion topic, because there's always at least one person who thinks the complete other way about how he wants his 6 dollars turned into the game. ~Prozac~
  22. +1 And tbh, canadiansmurf. I don't know how much your knowledge is about java and the programming of runescape. But unless you KNOW how to fix all of the stuff you're saying, I suggest it's better if you shut up about flaws in the game. Jagex creates great content, well structured minigames that work quite good if it's played the way Jagex intended it. Everything has it's loopholes, things Jagex didn't really foresee (like the fixed games) but that doesn't mean Jagex has to approve of it. If Jagex would be banning threads on RSOF about minigame's where there is no rigging, I wouldn't really understand. But I completely agree with Jagex putting a stop to the fixed minigames.
