All the updates that we'll ever need?
I think that they are rather bug fixes, or balance issues that the 'hidden updates' are. And what do you mean, Jagex don't have the 'balls' to publish them? They can do what they want, it IS their game. What do they have to be afraid of?? 12 year olds with big mouths?

Time to start crafting Cosmics instead of Nats and Laws?
that, or lava staff + 1cosmic for Level-6 Enchant  i got to 4000 enchantment point just now haha.. good god I bought 5k cosmics when they were ~50 each Which is why at the end of my post I said that Lava Staff + Cosmics would be good for the higher level mage's, With only level 75 Magic, I wouldn't know if the 87 Level 6 Enchant would be good or not, I just sorta assumed it would be :) Ill just Edit this in : When collecting graveyard points, I found it much easier, that when i got to around 8 HP, to leave the area, make a quick run down to the Healer NPC's in the Duel Arena, and run back up, its much easier than taking your own food or trying to eat bananas.

Time to start crafting Cosmics instead of Nats and Laws?
I think the real winner here is the Mud staff, lets see, Holding a mud staff and a bunch of Cosmics, per enchant, you get 78 exp (When doing level 5 enchant) With the thousands of points needed for items, if 1 was going to want to get them, they would almost certanly need a Mud staff, or atleast a Earth staff for level 4 enchant. And for those with high magic, I would assume when equiping a lava staff, they can do level 6 enchant for even more EXP, so I think that the enchanters area may have a lot of people around.

4 January 2006 - Mage Training Arena
Far too many incidents have been brought to light of inexperienced wizards causing some pretty horrific accidents (and we use the word 'accident' very lightly). So whether you're a mage of experience or you're someone in need of a little training, you'll want to travel north of the Duel Arena to find a grand building of magical design: The Mage Training Arena! In this building, the magical powers of RuneScape seem to have a mind of their own, so you'll find some very unique ways to practice the art of magic whilst collecting points to trade for prizes. Shazzam! There's a great deal on offer: you can have a go at moving statues around mazes with the power of your mind, or perhaps you'd like to try hunting for items to practice the art of alchemy. Or maybe you'd rather live dangerously and try your hand at frantically turning bones to bananas just to stay alive? It's your choice. If you train long and hard enough, you could be the proud owner of some funky new robes! Trust us - wearing these, you will not go unnoticed as you strut your stuff around the dunes of Al Kharid. There's also the chance to look into upgradable wands and maybe even a new spell... Intrigued? Why not take a visit and train to become a mage of irrefutable power... ...or at least put an end to those horrific accidents. Your guide for the arena awaits you in the entrance hall. Please note that the Xmas update has been removed today.

4 January 2006 - Behind the Scenes - January
Old habits die hard ? :D :) :( :o  :? 8) :x :P       :!: :?:   Who knows? The Mage update is something that interests me the most out of the listed ones, and I dare say that I hope it is the one that will be released first in the month.

4 January 2006 - Behind the Scenes - January
The month of January will include several amazing updates, most with a very strong desert theme. We kick off the New Year with the introduction of the Mage Training Arena. Over the last few years, many wizards have come to an unfortunate end because of a lack of training in the less aggressive spells. Too many royal vases have been smashed from a badly directed telegrab or alchemy spell, and the Wizards' towers have received one too many insurance claims. In response to this they have unearthed an old deserted building thought lost to the Kharidian sands forever. Several games can be played there, all with the intention of learning the finer arts of magic. Do well, and collect some unique robes and even talking merchandise! This update is one of the most beautiful updates we have had in a long time and should not be missed. Later this month we see the addition of another agility course, but this time in the sands near to Menaphos. Rumours of a glint of gold sparkling on its pinnacle are unsubstantiated, but the appearance of a local archeologist has helped the rumour spread. This course is aimed at mid-level athletes. The Burthorpe games room has finally opened its doors to some more games! Later this month you will be able to go and play Runeversi and Squares as well as competing at the current Draughts and Runelink games. Squares is an old game played between the Duke of Lumbridge and King Roald of Varrock back in their maths lessons when they were children. It's based around the simple principle of putting lines down on a board, scoring points when you complete a 'square', but tactics and logic play a big part. More random events will also enter the game this month, with visits from a friendly sandwich lady and Prison Pete. Help sort out baguettes and pop balloon animals soon! Two quests this month develop more of the desert gods' storylines and answer the age old question ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ where does all the sand in the sand pits come from? Who brings it there? Help Bert the sandpit worker come to terms with a strange discovery as you take on the challenge of The Hand in the Sand. Be careful though, or the puns might just kill you. Dust off that chisel and hammer as you attempt to make statues... Also this month look out for more readers' letters, one brand new slayer monster for mid-level characters and some new fillings for your baked potatoes!

Why the absence of AMD laptops?
Generally, (Well maybe not so much now) AMD's had a very big heat issue, a lot of the Desktop chips would get very hot and require more extensive cooling than a Intel system. The energy is dissapated via heat, so in essance you need more power to run a AMD system, Intel's M Processor is actually very good, giving nice output in speed/MHZ for the lower then AMD equivilent power needed. With laptops, battery life is something that everyone should take into consideration when buying a laptop. AMD have only really become a major threat to Intel in the past year or so, as more and better computer games come out, meaning people in the know suggesting the superior AMD processors for the people interested in gaming. Laptops aren't generally designed for gaming, sure you can get gaming laptops, but the cost (for one that will be able to play decently new games of average settings) a minimum of $3000 AUSD, when you can get a much much much better desktop. And even so, it has a portability, but if you really want to use it as a gaming machine, you'll have to set it down on a table, plug it in, get yourself a nice mouse and then you can enjoy it, but can you really? While LCD screens have gotten better in recent times, but many people (and myself if my opinion has any worth :P) believe that a quality CRT moniters are very good for gaming, while with some Laptops, you get a decent processor, memory and such, but get shafted on the screen. If you can, I would wait untill around June, chances are that AMD will be expanding on their moblie chips in the next year, June gives you a chance to be able to get some of the newer chips. ~Chaosbringer

HardCore Characters
So many holes in this, I don't oppose it, hell, I don't have to, its a very rare chance something like it get implemented anyway.... 1) Would this be F2P or P2P? 2) Would it be a seperate character account? 3) If you bought P2P on this Hardcore character, would you get redeemed your money if/when it dies? If this we're to be pulled off properly, in my opinion, these things would need to be done. 1) Your Hardcore account is a spin off of your RSC/RS2 account, mean you can register the name "Chaosbringer" and you can play all 3 versions. 2) When dieing, your character will be completely wiped out, no more items, no more exp, no nothing. 3) At a set time during the week, (for example lets just say Monday midnight every week GMT time) all characters that we're slain (and subsequencly made level 3's with nothing again) are reborn, just as if they we're remade again. These are just things that I came off the top of my head, things that I feel are critical if this were to ever happen, I'm sure there are many things that I couldn't think up.

Emo is becoming more and more mainstream (Even though I rather wish it would not) Making all these people who believe they are hardcore and cool because they listen to underground music, mainstream and conformists, so maybe they should all go listen to underground french acordian music now.

Enter Scores (Australia, Victoria)
Basically, during Year 11 and 12, you have your subjects, and you sit your final exams, and they are marked out of 50, you get 4 subjects taken at full value, then 1 subject at 15% I believe and another at 10%. These are all calculated into you "Enter" score, which is what generally determines which Uni you will go to. Enters are graded on the entire year level and students, so its more of a percentage then anything else I guess. The highest a person can get is 99.95 which means that your generally in the top 30 or so out of 75 thousand other people. If you wanted to be a doctor or lawyer, you'd need to get in the high 90's. And the Enters we're just released today, thus spawning the topic. ~Chaosbringer Edited : Got the numbers wrong, 99.95 is actually top 32 people this year (Highest ever infact) out of 75 thousand year 12 students.

New Members Weapons/Armor!
They are ok, a bit generic though, try and really stretch your imagination and suprise us. They're also a bit on the over powered godly weapon side, tone them down. Also you haven't told us how players get them, buy them from a store? Kill a monster and get a rare drop? Undergo a complicated forging process?

Omegawytch
I always enjoyed reading the posts when they first came out, I was fortuneate enough to even meet Omegawytch, quite a nice person on and off the forums. Its unfortunate that he quit, though thats the way it goes some time.

Best of Blur Album art lookalike (work in progress)
Quite impressive Matt, you should perhaps make the lens on the glasses a tad bit whiter, well thats just my opinion atleast, or darker, in the middle range just doesn't look right to me. Excellent work! ~Andy

Nguyen Toung Van Getting Hanged, what do u think!?
He knew what he was getting into, I think its stupid that people are running around saying "He was only doing it for his brother, he shouldn't of died" To me it doesn't matter if he was going to donate it all to an orphanage, you shouldn't traffic drugs, thats why pretty much all countries have laws against that. He went to Singapore knowing the consequences, and he accepted them.

Custom made board style!
Well, I think that the RuneScape feel will be good, because, you know, its not like we're forcing everyone to use the default setting are we? We're just giving people a customised RuneScape one if they so wish to use it. So I think we should have it as RuneScapey as we want it, and I would think that anyone who signs up for these forums would have atleast played Runescape at one point or another. ~Chaosbringer

Why does everyone say that Firefox is better than Opera?
Opera is a browser for me, it has unique functions, such as mouse gestures, something I don't believe Firefox has. Opera is less used, as up untill recently, if you wanted add free opera, you'd have to either get an illegal key, or pay for it. Recently it has gone add free, and shortly prior to that, I believe Opera had it's 10th Birthday. A large of the Tip.it Admin team use Opera, and many other of the staff, its the more professional of the 2 browsers I believe, atleast thats my take on it. If its good enough for us, then it has to be good enough for you :) ~Chaosbringer Edit: I've thought of another reason. People in these forums user Firefox to a degree more, beause they see crazy fanatical posters such as Cam (people I call CFFL Crazy Fanatical Firefox Lackeys) who are so utterly devoted to their browser, they assume it is so good, that some dude on the Internet its a wee bit crazy over it) So yeah, the End (Don't fall for Pro-Firefox propaganda from Cam, he's a loon!) No really, he is, I swear
