  1. I just listened to a song that was over 9 minutes long, I don't think I even realized it was all one song
  2. ^ our band got quite a bit of freedom, they went to the beach a couple days and got quite free range at parks of course. Sports at my school, if they're more than 45 mins or an hour away they take coach buses, otherwise not.
  3. Band people at my school paid $850 when they went to Florida for, 7 days? Including Disney and universal. But they played at Disney, that was the purpose. They rode coach buses and had three full buses, so they had good group rates to things I suppose, and band boosters here raise an insane amount of money.
  4. We have about 1600. My class is the smallest at around 345. I think my friend's school, HS alone (it's K-12) is that size, but I still can't imagine school that small.
  5. Our bandies got new uniforms this year, they're beautiful. The ones they had were from... the '60s? They were old, and part of the reason the bad didn't win at competitions (when there was money for such things) was that their uniforms were outdated. At a marching competition they should have won at (when there was money for a full field show), they got 4th because their uniforms had capes. Oh well, this year they went to a state showcase/competition thing (the taped audition was the competition part to qualify them to play, the joke was that band was "going to state") based on their awesomeness and skill. (Symphonic band, not marching) Okay I've now edited this twice to fix things, I'm a fool
  6. Timpani alway brought every full orchestra piece to the next level. [played cello 6-11th grade]
  7. Classes here are 55 minutes, which, in the beginning of the year, seemed long compared to last year's 50 mins. They took away our full period lunches :(
  8. I don't have A and B days, did during middle school though. I just have: teacher aide for Spanish teacher, open hour, AP physics, yearbook (which 4th hour lasts an hour and a half, the middle 40 mins are my lunch), AP Lang, Spanish 4 honors, AP psych. Yaaay I get to share too! But basically on a normal day I don't have real class until 9:30ish when physics starts.
  9. Good morning. Just kidding ish, it is 8:30 PM but my body and mind are now both confused because I slept for the last hour and a half. Wisjjlakdnkwidbskifjfendnksllfh.
  10. "you little digger" sounds slightly... off.
  11. Which seat should I taaaaake? It's fried egg!
  12. I was just exposing my sister to that atrocious song/video, but her reaction wasn't as amazing as the facial expressions my yearbook teacher made
  13. I'm pretty sure the 13 year olds in the Friday video aren't even wearing seatbelts at all, what naughty car-jacking unsafe children
  14. Speaking of explosions... Fireworks, out of Katy Perry's chest. No, I don't ever feel like a plastic bag.
  15. <3 high school grade level hierarchy, the amazing excuse to punch tall freshmen
  16. Indeed, how boring. I hear weird night noises
  17. What happened to discussions here where everyone agreed? lolololol
  18. Because we evolved not to depend on it for heat as much since we wear clothes
  19. Wow I sure missed a lot of important discussion... I'm a very tolerant and accepting person I'm now figuring out. I tolerate the bad things people do (once I care about them) and accept that these things are parts of them. Some of my friends are liars, some isolate themselves/focus on one/few people, some can't take anything seriously, some are socially awkward, and some say terrible things about their friends behind their backs. But I accept this, since they all like to share a lot with me. (ego moment: I understand people very well, of course they'd tell me all their thoughts about situations and other people!)
  20. ^ lol @ pie: arm hair? Or would you prefer the possibility of the nasty, dark, thick stubble that would appear if a girl shaved her arms?
