Never heard of that game, but I guess it works for them. Oh and perfetc, I know it' s their game and they can do what they wan' t, I' m just saying that everyone won' t quit if they completely overhaul armour and defence, people will just move on. Some will quit, maybe even in the hundrets of thousands, but the majority will stay and the show will go on.

Girls? On the Interent? Pfffft, get out, I don' t belive that for one second! Meeting a girl in Runescape? Sure, as long as you don' t mind her name being Bob.

If they made it so Godswords (with a 90 att 90 str req) hit on armour like they do now and had implemented the armour change from the start, I agree it would have been awesome. But it's too late now, nobody would accept them changes. Ofcourse they would, people rant a bit then most of them move on, that' s how it has always been. Hell, if Jagex got away with changing the Wilderness, "free" trade and so on then this shouldn' t be a problem. A solution even. The combat triange might get better with such an overhaul.

Off: Sorry, I knew you were perfetc, I just misspelled. On: Oh, I thought nerfing ment changing all in all, not making it worse or weaker. So the proper term to use would then be overhaul.

I would actually just move the log off button to the empty space next to the green dude. Like it was before, I REALLY don' t know why they moved it to the top right corner. Now there' s just an empty floor tile.

Well you made that (good) point, so you should take the credit  . There is no point to a lvl 45 with 99 defence. Don' t recall anyone saying there is a point to it. Anyway, I envision this something like this: Metal armour lowers the max hit, but since it' s quite heavy it lowers your dodging skills. Lower max hits but a bit more of them. Defence helps you avoid more of them, like it does now. Arrows break when they hit a wall of metal, but magic won' t break so warriors are still weak againts magicians. Cloth, as in magic armour, is not heavy and is quite comfortable, gives you more room to dodge attacks, but since it' s cloth, it' ll just fall apart when it meets metal. Ofcourse, dodging arrows is harder than swords or axes, so mages will still be weak againts archers. Leather is in between. It' s lighter than metal, but still not as comfortable as cloth. They will be able to dodge magic attacks to some level, and since leather magically repels magic (heh), spellcasters are still weak againts them. A crude idea I came up while taking a shower just now, so there can be alot of holes in it.

People are dying in seconds due to weapons on steroids. I suggest nerfing armour so it lowers the max hit. It' s commonly used outside of Runescape, so why not in Runescape aswell. Or make a mixture of reducing the max hit and evading attacks. That way it wouldn' t look like slapping on 60 kilograms of metal makes you agile like a cheetah ( a.k.a. you avoid more attacks), yet slapping on some leather makes you a prime candidate for target practice, god forbid you wear cloth (a.k.a. you just get ripped appart). And perfect, the first quote was made by PieisEaten, not me. Just to point that one out.

Actually, I think defence is quite usefull, atleast for me. The only way I can survive is a semi-high defence level. Why, I was chased 20 levels down in the Wilderness before I died (went from 30 to 10). Armour? Rune. Food? Lobsters. Hits on me? All the way to 22. On F2P 22 is A LOT. And I was attacked by the whole friggin triangle. Praying did help but only againts bind. So yea, defence is usefull on F2P, due to the recent godlike strenght of P2P weapons it became useless. But armour should be nerfed altogheter. Wearing armour to decrease the chance of being hit is pointless, defence is (well, should be) for that. Lowering the max hit, that' s what armour should do.

A drop all would be nice, power mining, fishing and woodcutting could become 40% faster to level. But many would rant that "what' s the point of our levels then, newbs have it easy, ....". Not that it' s a counter-argument but they would. A light all wouldn' t be good. It would be slower to light your logs since you would have to watch every animation. But, if they make it as fast as normal people light logs, then it would only easy up a bit on our wrists. Power leveling really is torture for our wrists.

Indeed, but when the prepaid cards will be available in most countries with a lot of RS players (Sweden just got them, then there's Finland, Germany, Norway..etc), membership will be more easy to get. Yeah, but for those that live in countries many have not even heard about (Slovenia for me) there is little to no hope for prepaid cards being available close to them.

It is true that money isn' t the issue here, it' s the payment methods. I, for one, just can' t seem to find a way to pay on my own and I can' t rely on my parents. Though I would like to ask, is it possible to send money via mail (not e-mail) to an online payment company such as PayPal?

Safing isn' t eating, it' s keeping yourself away from a critical hit point where you can be killed with one hit. But safing is (was) refferd to eating before you lose half your HP or even 1/4 of your HP. Meaning, you loose turns and food trying to keep your health bar fully green. True safing is not a good fighting tactic but everyone calls you a safer today, even if you eat at 1 HP....

Can someone please explain this to me, I really don' t know what you people are talking about. But, from what I do understand, it' s silly. I fish for money and make a nice 250k a day. All I need, and it doesn' t take too long. But 3M in 3 days seems a bit over the top if it' s on F2P. And what' s the point of the game then if you can just rush everything? Where' s the fun in that, it' s like reading a book, but reading only every 10th page. You get the blury picture, but the book will suck badly.

I don' t really see what more can we want. We got more bank space; we have much more to do; we have the RSOF (not alot, maybe 5% of F2P) we can actually use dragon (for 30 minutes only and at a HIGH price, but once the icon of membership) For me, I' m good until I buy membership. And that' s in the distant future.

All this because of Runescape? Gawd, go munch on a candy bar or something, life' s 1241513514 times more cruel.......

Once. That' s how many times you saw that name. Am I right?

Woooow, now you' re a real man! Go on, have another 4, who needs a liver! On topic, I can hardly understand your rant. Rewrite it when you' re sober.

Heh, buy a pack of Gillete razors, mail it to JAGeX with a suicide note and you' ll become a Pmod just like that.

I' m sure that Dec 10th 2007 was the day Runescape took a giant poop and flushed all the bad things out. Some good things aswell but now it feels better and is getting back into shape!

How do people even find threads that have been dead for about a year? Even Chuck Norris couldn' t do that.
-
Dragon armour is like Armani today, nice looking and really really expensive, even though Fishbone can make quite better jeans :

Isn' t this thread dead for like.... 13 months?

[hide=Quotes] But do you realise how much we LOST too? There is still no decent replacement for solo PKing and the old way of merchanting is dead -- replaced with making huge investments and hoping they'll rise. Don't forget it's still very hard to give items to friends Whell, true we did loose an easy way to making money. Merchanting was really never my buisness. But I did profit around 500k from the GE when lobsters went up with "merchanting". But you have to admit that, coming closer to the end, the wildy was getting really frustrating. But, skillers profit quite from the update since bots are virtually gone. A few still hang on but that' s like a drop in the ocean compared to the times before Dec 10th. And giving items to friends, whell, I' m sure alot of us miss that but I still smile when I see all those empty yew spots. I'm curious about your favorite yew spots. (Unless you're talking about members' worlds.) With bots gone, humans immediately took their places. Willows are much emptier, true. [/hide] You know, the ones near Rimmington, south of Melzar' s maze, that's a nice spot. Then there are some near the eastern wall of Varrock, I like those too. The three or four Lumbridge yews if you count the one near Draynor are also nice. Those are quite nice on a good world and good time. Thankfully my timezone GMT+1 or something like that gives me a nice window to cut in peace. But hey times change. Sure twas better before, but we all know how much Jagex changes it' s initial ideas. And I' m sure we' re not going to see free trading or merchanting anytime soon. Would be nice though. Maybe my friends list might get a bit greener.

Oh come on... not another thread about how it was better before. Yes it was better. Yes PKing was more profitable. Yes you could give gifts. But it' s here to stay. Accept it already. But the part with P2P and F2P updates. Guess what... We never got this many updates before. Do you even REALIZE how much we actually got this year?
