  1. That doesn't make it an AFK skill. :? You haven't even got 1% of the xp needed for 99 but you know enough to say it's an afk skill, contrary to what anyone else thinks about it? This is getting silly now. The point is that farming is an AFK skill and frankly you shouldn't be telling people how often their magic and palm seeds will die when you are level 32 farming, how can you possibly know? And how, after gaining 17k xp in total in that skill can you make such a broad statement which in effect said "Farming is not an AFK skill dont you dare tell me any different, you are all wrong" Even if I had 200m xp I wouldn't make such a statement. This is probably the most ludicrous thread I've ever read. I think I'll be leaving now. #-o
  2. Pardon? once you are at 90+ in a skill everything except mining becomes afk... farming is the only one where you can log off though. Herblore? Firemaking? Prayer? Runecrafting? Construction? Theiving? Firemaking? Agility? None of those are even semi afk let alone completely AFK which is what farming is. You have to give all those your full attention. And anyway, I didn't say farming was an AFK skill past level 90 I said it was an AFK skill. I have had the same routine since about your level.
  3. ROFL. *Plants 4 mage trees and 4 palm trees.* *Logs outs* *Logs back in in 3 days* Congratualtions! You are now lvl 90 Farming! That is the most "AFK" skill there is. Sorry about the double post. oh please, half of them would die, even if you use compost, that's what happens to me when i plant something then i get dragged along to go shopping That might be to do with the fact that you are level 32. I am level 92 and I have got that AFK, spending less 10 minutes on it per day.
  4. In other words, Aggrivating? People who say runecrafting is like watching paint dry are wrong. It's like watching dry paint to see if it gets any drier.
  5. I think "Just another random god to fill empty pages on Jagex's website, he'll never effect the game and I don't read the crap on the website anyway". :D
  6. The skill with the least number of people at 99 is herblore despite it being released in 2002. The second lowest is construction because it is relatively new. The third lowest is farming. Slayer is a lot more entertaining than runecrafting which is basically just walking. Runecrafting will make you more money but you'd have to get about 50m xp solo through the abyss to come even close to some of the merchants on this game in terms of cash.
  7. Concentrate on these skills as they are not incredibly easier to level on members like the others are, so you won't be wasting your time. As Timmis suggested, woodcutting and banking your logs would be a very good idea.
  8. Favourites: 1. Lots of dagganoths 2. Less dagganoths 3. Nechs Yeah that's about it. My favourite would be Greater Demons since most of my range levels I got at the cage in yanille. However in 2.6m xp slayer xp I've never got them even once. Least favourites: Everything else.
  9. Since you're not factoring in time, let's take farming into consideration. Get level 32 farming. Then plant 62,500 ranarr seeds giving an average of 6 herbs per seed so 375,000 ranarr weeds which gets you level 99 (13.1m xp to be exact) 62,500 ranarr seeds at 25k each= 1,562,500,000 375,000 ranarr weeds at 7k each= 2,625,000,000 Therefore 1,062,500,000 profit making farming the winner. \ If you planted in all 5 herb patches, every 2 hours this would take you 2 years and 311 days. That is obviously a ludicrous example but it is to illustrate the point that time is crucial. I make about 5-6m a week from farming, even if i only play 10-20 minutes per day in the week and a couple of hours at the weekend. Yet if a runecrafter played 8 hours a day at 300k an hour he'd make 16.8m a week. Time is crucial.
  10. Speak to Advisor Ghrim and ask him how the kingdom is fairing. Then say "no" when he asks if you want to collect the resources and he will show you the screen with the amount of money in the kingdoms coffers and the distribution of workers. Normally I open my kingdom regularly but I did leave it for 2 1/2 months one time and took a pic: There's a deliberate spelling mistake in there to keep you on your toes. I've been doing this since the second quest for it was released. I've made at least 30m profit from the maples and making pots from the herbs. Oh and not to mention 92 farming which is almost entirely down to seeds from my kingdom. :D
  11. Thanks again! I've added you willdarange. :) I'm not touching prayer for at least a fortnight though. :P
  12. Thanks you two. :D I'm a bit shy about my bank though. :P
  13. Great... a double 41 for rangers to murder us with  Or a double 8. Technically I can hit 312 in 4 dds specs but I'm lucky to get a quarter of that. :?
  14. Thanks. :) I've got the bones banked for 99. I just need to get some marrentill...and some more willpower. :P
  15. I've never posted here before but as this is my first combat level in 30 months I thought I'd mark the occasion. :P I got close to it at 7:30 GMT this morning and I couldn't wait so I decided to go back to to my nooby roots to get it. The party will be at 126. If I ever get it. I went there because that's how I leveled it back on classic. I was 70 prayer there (in the top 150 at one point) and 74 before ectoing came out. I then painstakingly got myself to 82 and swore to never look at another bone again. I started again a few months ago though...but this time with a gilded altar to reduce my psychological damage. :P Some other recent levels: If you've got this far, well done! I haven't bored you to tears. Now please post a comment! :D
  16. Nice bank. You're tempting me to get some third age melee. :P
  17. Ok, let's just clarify something here. The person who posted this topic stated that he tried the bows on lower level friends, he did not state that he tried it on lower level friends wearing no armour, as he did yesterday. Therefore this is not the same experiment at all and so the conclusion of it is totally and utterly flawed. There is no evidence that it has been nerfed, which is proved by the fact that you have so many people disagreeing with you and no support. Please have some facts next time, this is not the RSOF. :?
  18. Well I don't know about the drop rate for sure. One of my friends killed Dark Beasts for more than 3 hours and gave up. :? But as for the "supply and demand", I don't think it's working like that. There are very little bows, and everyone wants them. However, no one (or nearly no one) is paying a decent price for them. I saw many (actually, majority) threads offering 50k -.- - 3m yesterday. Whenever the slayer stepped down their price to sell the bow faster, the people's offers would just go down. When I looked at a seller's thread, he was selling for 6m, and only a handful of offers were there, proving that most people rather just push the price down further and quicker to get their hands on a cheap bow. Yeah most threads on the official forums are just for price manipulation. But that doesn't effect the genuine demand for the bows. If you look past that and speak to people who are actually buying and selling the bows they are definitely below 5m now. I just went into edge bank on my homeworld and I saw a guy I knew fairly well (who is 90 slayer) standing there trying to sell his bow for 4.3m, with no takers. Personally I don't think the people saying "buying dark bow 500k" are having any effect on the price. I just think there is a high supply of the item. Of course it's random, that's an average figure. :P I spoke to 7 people who have been "no lifing it" for about 20 hours now. I admit that's not enough time to compile a meaningful average but 140 hours of gameplay does give you some idea of how rare the thing is. Again, this is backed up by the 4m price. The point is, it is not nearly as rare as some of the 90+ slayers are desperately trying (and failing) to impress upon people. :P I can't say I blame them for trying to maximise their profits but it's a bit hypocritical for them to critcise noobs for trying to manipulate the prices also.
  19. All the 90+ slayer friends I have spoken to have said the drop rate is much higher than a whip, more like 1 in every 2-3 hours. It's not just the noobs that are trying to manipulate the price. I think the fact that they are 5-6m after less than 24 hours says it all. Supply and demand, it's that simple.
  20. The name might come from it, but it was no way similar. Mithril in that movie is dwarven(or elven) armour that is indestructable. Everyone knows that Mithril in runescape is all but indestructable. Mithril was added to the game in early 2001 and was the best armour at the time. It was not intended to be low level armour like it is now. Andrew could not have envisaged that the game would grow in the way that it has or that they would have to add so many types of improved armour to keep players happy.
