  1. I got 100 combat on classic at 5-15k xp an hour. 100-124 at the start of rs2 at 30-35k xp an hour. 85 theiving at 20-30k xp an hour on classic. People can now get 100k combat xp an hour with PC and 150-200k theiving xp an hour with pyramid plunder. Unfair? Yes. And they are just two examples, every skill has become so much easier.
  2. I went out last night and as usual didn't feel like going to bed when I got home so I decided to finish off the Fremenik Isles quest which I had started earlier. I did it but by the time it was finished I couldn't be bothered to check out the mines so I went to bed. I then had a dream I was in the mine, it was only about 5 seconds long though. I then had a much longer dream that I owned the Royal Albert Hall and for some reason it was filled with water, and someone was trying to push me in from 500 feet up. Read into that what you will. :uhh: In my opinion what you dream about is meaningless, as it's just a projection of your mental state. What type of dream you have (e.g. an anxiety dream) is important though. But whether you dream about work, the missus, friends, runescape, or whatever isn't important and certainly doesn't show "addiction".
  3. Good idea, they've already added appropriate clothing.
  4. I would say they should add a speculation skill but I think everyone is level 99 already in that. :-k
  5. Surely other people have experienced this? :? It is still as bad as ever for me. It just took 43 hours for a calquat tree to grow and it didn't even get diseased.
  6. I wouldn't call myself a sarcastic person but I do use it regularly. Mostly for humour but also if someone starts an argument with me or snipes at me, I'll usually give a sarcastic put down back. Naturally I do this in runescape also but lately I am wondering what the point is, as it appears 99% of people don't understand sarcasm. Of course, in real life sarcasm can be detected by tone of voice and facial expressions and this is lost over the internet. But some of the comments I make are just so sarcastic that I cannot believe they are taken seriously. I'll give you an example. Yesterday a user who is now banned made an extremely sarcastic thread here on the general p2p forum. It was written dead-pan, with no smilies. Unfortunately it has been deleted now but basically it said because Jagex were releasing "nice" updates lately and fairies liked nice things, that meant that the third part of the fairytale quest trilogy was going to be released on Monday. As soon as I read this post I knew he was being sarcastic but everyone else who posted on it thought he was being serious. I was totally gob smacked. We both posted more and more sarcastic comments which got even more ludicrous and stlll every poster was oblivious. In the end I finally said something along the lines of: To my utter astonishment someone actually took this seriously. The thread was locked and deleted before anyone had realised it was sarcastic. However it had got onto the second page and I am not even sure the moderator who deleted it had twigged. I private messaged this person to ask how he could have missed the sarcasm and he said it wasn't obvious enough?! Now we all know that the users on these forums have an IQ about 20 points higher than most RuneScape players, so as you can imagine I have 1001 examples of this happening in game which I won't bore you with. I have always used sarcasm and wit but now I am starting to wonder whether there is any point at all. My question is this: Since the average age and IQ of players has fallen so dramatically in the past few years, is there any point using sarcasm and/or wit in the game? God help them when they get into the real world. I get sarcastic e-mails at work everyday and they are far more subtle than what I posted on that thread or say in game! They are going to get eaten alive. P.s. Apologies for poorly constructed sentences. I've been writing this on and off between 7am and 8am after a couple of hours sleep.
  7. Hi there. When you raise your 63 magic enough to be able to do charged god spells and use ice barrage/blitz you'll realise how powerful magic is and that it doesn't need an update at all. Jagex will definitely not be releasing a combination staff featuring air runes either, that would make training too easy. They have deliberately steered clear of this in the two staves they have released. Can we please stop these dark bow topics until after it's released, when we actually know what it's like?! The thing required 60 range, it could well be a damp squib. This forum becomes more and more like the official forums every day with these pointless topics.
  8. Iv cleared this one already lol lolz omg liek i dint see that post, u explined every fin so clerly
  9. It can fire all arrows not just dragon. If it was better than a MSB of course i'd use it for monster hunting. I wouldn't use it for pking simply because melee is more powerful.
  10. It used to be the walking skill (runecrafting) but I think hunter is even more stupid than just walking endlessly.
  11. NO! 99.9% of the runescape populations lies, cheats and steals without thinking twice. The quality of the people playing runescape divebombed after rs2 was released and sunk even further with the miniclip generation. I am a nice person and I try so hard to help people but this week I have given up. Every single person I have helped on RS2 has tried to use me to get free stuff. Just today 2 people I thought I knew well showed their true colours. The only friends I have made since starting rs2 are high level, older players. I couldn't give a damn about people's level but it seems anyone lower than you does, and sees you as a target for their greed and nothing more.
  12. Attack, around 20.5m xp I think.
  13. I just logged out because I was laughing too much at the fairytale thread and couldn't concentrate.
  14. Congrats. :D I've wanted for years to be able to smith rune but I've never got around to it. How are you leveling? :)
  15. Probably cross my legs, since there are no toilets in runescape.
  16. Couldn't care less about showing off to be honest. Unless I'm training combat I just wear boots of lightness and magic secateurs. Always makes me smile when I see people trying to show off in stuff worth 10% of just one of the rares sitting in my bank gathering dust.
  17. Congrats, that's a fantastic acheivement (and so are your other stats). Especially for f2p. :D
  18. Congrats but slayer hasn't even been out 3 years, it was only released in Jan 05. I remember that because it was the week I got 99 melee.
  19. I've never played PC, but I've heard that it's the fastest way to train mele. If it's too easy, then Jagex can fix that easily -- just make it harder. Give the "pests" higher defense, or whatever. But you're right that all of the high level "PC products" will still be out there. Yep there will be. And there is literally tens of thousands of them. Just to give you an idea, on RSC 15k xp an hour was about the best you could get unless you were an extremely high level training in the pirates hut or the axe hut in the wildy. At the start of RS2 the best xp per hour you could get was about 30-35k per hour. Now with PC it's 2-3 times that and coupled with the gilded altar, level 126s are now more common on rs2 than level 100+ were on classic. There is just no respect in getting 120+ combat now, it's ridiculously easy.
  20. Last time there was pride in having high melee skills during rsc and first months of rs2. Yes you are exactly right. I was around 250th to 99 attack and now I am not even in the top 1000 on the highscores despite having 20.5m attack xp. There is no pride in that. And there is no pride in having something in common with the new "high levels" that come out of pest control. PC was Jagex's greatest mistake and they will never, ever be able to reverse the damage they've done.
  21. It's so ugly and so totally unnecessary. :?
  22. RuneScape is an online computer game which has a marketplace operated by players in which goods are bought and sold. The price of these goods are determined by supply and demand, which can be erratic due to Jagex constantly updating the game. RuneScape does not have anything even close to an economy. I'm not going to bother going into details but anyone who has ever studied economics will know how complex an economy is. All RS has is a market place. All prices have the underlying support of their high alchemy value. For example yew logs, bows strings and nature runes will always have a fairly stable price because using all of these (i.e. making an alching a yew longbow) will give you 768gp and this is something hundreds of thousands of players are capable of. The only volatility is goods which are overvalued in their relation to their high alchemy price by the marketplace as a whole (for example rares). I can see Jagex's updates making a certain one of these items plummet in value but I cannot see any circumstances in which all these items would "crash".
  23. Seriously though, you are going to be closer to the truth with that guess than the people saying it's going to have a +100 bonus and be as fast a MSB with an even better special...
  24. I think that's an unfair comment. I've played for 6 years and this has happened less than 10 times. Jagex are normally very, very reliable. Not to mention that we pay very little and they haven't increased the price since members was released 5 years ago.
