  1. 1. Better pking/dueling system. 2.More mature community in general and a closer, smaller community. 3. Challenges and acheivement. +100 other good points. RSC was just a better game. If it was not for the autoers I would still be playing it. As for RSC being harder... I used to get 30k xp an hour theiving paladins at level 85 on classic. Now you can get 200k+ per hour in pyramind plunder. 12k combat xp per hour on classic was good xp, now you can get 50k with slayer and god knows what with pest control. Range was even slower. I don't think I can put into words how slow leveling prayer was on classic. Not to mention how much easier it is to make money on rs2. You can get 200k an hour as soon as you start. When I first started classic, I made less than 1% of that.
  2. Yes I have about 30 of each. No-one knows what they are going to be used for because Jagex haven't told us.
  3. My skill total is 1960 which makes my average level around 85. Which is brought down heavily by 66 RC, 64 Hunter +75 Construction. I'm not procrastinating though. I'm honest with myself that I don't want to train the stupid RS2 skills jagex has come up with. :P Except farming.
  4. I kill 8-10 per trip with melee (depending on how often they drop shark). Much easier than the KQ and easier than the KBD. It has very poor drops but that's the price you pay for the chance to get a dragon full helm/visage.
  5. You rs2 products forget that on classic it was 10x harder to level than it is now. Nice stats and bank man.
  6. Surely a 4 dose agility pot and a shark would do the same job, with just a minimal weight increase and a 4hp loss? That would also mean you were free to pot when the effect wore off, not when you needed the hp.
  7. No I don't think there's any situation where you would need these new potions. They seem like another of Jagex's dud updates to me.
  8. I've seen him about 10 times by the ectofungus. I mainly see Bob by the teleport lever in the wildy.
  9. I don't think Jagex will ever do it and I agree with them. I am very lucky to be (relatively) both young and healthy. So I only spend a few hours a week on RuneScape and I combine this with all the television I ever watch. However, I know a lot of people on RuneScape that are not so fortunate. There are many people that I know who are disabled or long term incapacitated. They play 12+ hours a day. Can you blame them? If you are housebound and/or living on your own, RuneScape is a nice thing to escape into. I know they are in the minority but the healthy players you are trying to protect with this move have only to excercise self-control. It's their responsibility to make sure the game is not having a negative effect on their life. At the end of the day, everyone who plays RuneScape is over 13 and should be intelligent enough and have the right to make their own decisions.
  10. Unrealistically construction wins hand down. Realistically, fletching wins with making rune arrows (800k xp/hour or so) and second is herblore at 540k xp/hour- 3k brews (from unfinished pots).
  11. That is correct except that agility was released in 2002, not 2001. Runecrafting was released at the start of RS2 in March 2004. Herblaw, Theiving and Fletching were released when members was launched in mid 2002. I was there for all of the above so I am 99% sure my old brain has remembered it correctly. :P
  12. For those of you having trouble selling your maples: Simply cut them into longbows, get your karamja gloves (any level will do) and go to brimhaven. You can sell them to the charter ship there for 112gp each. You can easily sell 1k a minute which is a lot quicker than you could sell logs or unstrung bows to other players. :P You only get 58.25 xp per bow but it avoids the nightmare of having to sell maple logs and gives you about 50% more money than you would get for selling them.
  13. 60-80k an hour isn't blisteringly fast?! Did you ever play RSC? 15k an hour was blistering fast on RSC. I got all 100 combat on RSC at 10-15k xp an hour and 99 melee stats at the start of rs2 before barrows, ape atoll, slayer, whips, dragon scimmies, PC or any of that crap. I never got more than 30k an hour and you say 80k an hour isn't blistering fast?! Same thing with range. I got 70 range on classic and 97 range at the start of rs2 with a bow and arrows. Combat is supposed to be hard. Cooking was just as fast as it is now on classic. Combat should not be a 100k an hour skill and it is RIDICULOUS that you can get 99 range and 99 mage without firing a bow/casting a spell. I despise PC. It was Jagex's biggest mistake by far and is the main reason I feel like quitting this game. In terms of RSC to RS2, I completely agree with you. There's literally no counterargument to your post. However, my post is in current day comparison. People NOW feel like slayer leveling to PC leveling is imbalanced, and I don't agree with that notion at all. In responce, there is no wya to compare how slow RSC leveling was to anything within RS2 to make it seem fair. I would know; I was there. Well when I train slayer I get at the most 50k an hour. And that is constantly potting so that my att and str are 113-118 and with the maximum offencive bonuses and slayer mask. PCers my level get double that xp. So I would say it's unbalanced. You don't have to compare RSC to RS2 to see how insane PC/slayer are. At the start of RS2 the maximum offencive stats you could get were +81 slash and +79 strength. That was with a slow dragon long. Now you can get +133 slash and 111 strength with the ultra fast whip. And if you do slayer you can get the 15% effects of the black mask and still have +128 slash. Seems odd that when i train slayer i can break 70k exp an hour (certainly not at gargs, or high def monsters, but at bloodveld, dusties, ect) Im assuming you have 99 att and str, with the insane boosts your talking about, why cant you break 50k xp an hour? And pcers, even in a fast clan, cant break 100k xp an hour, its 95k tops, and thats MY top, with 99 str and 98 attack in a game a minute pc clan. Do you get 70k an hour average over a few hours with several tasks? No, you get it on the best task of the day (e.g. nechs). PC can be played over and over again, no crap tasks, no switching in burthorpe. If you played for 5 hours that "mere" 95k would be 475k where as if you did 5 hours of slayer you would never get 350k. You said the MOST you get is 50k an hour. And id like to restate that, because at lvl 98 you get 176k xp per 100 points, bonus included, you can break 100k an hour, but thats my top without combat potting. Anyway, i dont see why it should matter what way you get them, you earn them. If you want to stay in some area fighting the same monster for less exp, then you can. I dont see why you should quit a game which is ment for enjoyment because other people play a minigame. I dont see why people think they are better than anyone else because they got their levels 'pre-pc'. I thought it was obvious I meant an average. PC is consistent xp an hour so why compare the best task when slayer is so uneven? I didn't think someone would miss the point as badly as you did. :? Once again you've totally missed the point. I didn't have the choice to "If you want to stay in some area fighting the same monster for less exp, then you can" because pest control WASN'T out. I can't be bothered to argue with someone who can't understand basic points. I'm not going to bother posting again. I have better things to be getting on with.
  14. Do you get good drops at PC? Do you get xp to slayer there? Does pc open you the doors to the world of abyssal whip and dark bow drops? If you want the fastest xp, go to pc. If you want something else, then do that. 1k per game adds up. And anyway, whips and dark bows are almost worthless- who cares?

  18. :-s ok... uhhh... rs2 came out more than 3 years ago... 29th March 2004. I was there. oh, you're not talking about beta, a lot of people were in beta and they had rc in there. Beta was released on the 1st of December 2003. 3 and a half years ago, not 5 as you said. And on the 29th of March 2004 beta ended and all characters were destroyed, so it has no relevance on the highscores. :?: i've always been told that they were the first people on the high scores, the beta characters... Beta characters were destroyed when the beta testing ended. The stats you gained in beta (including runecrafting) were wiped, along with any items you had gained. Your levels on RS1 were transferred onto RS2 and RSC was created.

  21. 1. Runecrafting was not released 5 years ago. It was released with the launch of RS2 3 years ago. 2. Fletching has not been out less time than Runecrafting as it was released 5 years ago. #-o
  22. When your herb gets diseased and you cure it, that resets the farming clock so they will take longer. However it is not just diseased herb patches that can take longer. The growth of herbs was changed shortly after the My Arm patch was added and now mature at seemingly random intervals. There's another topic on here about tree growing times if anyone is interested. Personally I despise the way Jagex have changed farming.
  23. That's very interesting hyjack01. I know we're not allowed to post screenshots of Jagex's responses but if you have one can you please send it to me via pm?
  24. 10 soul 30/42 air 60 pure essence 4 law 500 or so coins total All I got from about 20.
  25. First of all make some bracelets of clay, that will mean you don't have to soften them. Then do the Enlightened Journey quest and take the balloon to the crafting guild. Mine there, tele to cw, bank, take the balloon from there to the crafting guild.
