  1. 2014 gains: #1 Forsberg888 - 931m exp #2 Itrolledu - 902m exp #3 Alkan - 641m exp #4 Pieter - 578m exp #5 Bizarrely - 556m exp Looks like we may actually have a competition for first to 1b exp this year. Also, Pieter held rank 25 for a bit (was a new face in there) but fell out again once Robbie hit 2596.
  2. Since newyears, fors still has him beat for overall gains: http://runetrack.com/competitions/competition_tracker.php?id=19249&skill=overall
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong - but if he's offering 12m RS3 for 1m OSRS, isn't he actually doing a better offer? Think he's offering RS3 for OSRS, not the other way around.
  4. Afk defence/magic with bloodfire burst in abyss. (got me 300k magic/def an hour, think it costs a bit over 1 gp/xp now, 0.8 gp/xp when I did it for 200m). Effigies are a nice exp boost, also you have hp exp adding to your total. Use notepaper to pick up abyssal charms to summon for profit.
  5. At airuts, I bring notepaper for rune platebody/platelegs/spears drops, given they are fairly common and I like those piles in my bank. Also pick up blood runes/death runes/rune bars/adam bar/magic logs (always), noted herb drops I pick up if my inv spaces allows me to do so.
  6. RS3 does have a steeper learning curve as far as the combat aspect goes, but it allows for more variation which can make it easier to stick around to it. Given combat is the first thing people will get into, the 'simplicity' makes it more accessible to newcomers. Whereas the complexity is for some (mostly high end)players one of the reasons to keep going at it. Given the current player base is rather top-heave (stats wise), RS3 should have more appeal to the active playerbase then newcomers. Momentum should probably be made mandatory for the first X levels or so though, to avoid the steepness of the learning curve.
  7. Spacebar rather then moving mouse and click to make-x. Yay for ticks saved.
  8. Not sure if that was epic or horribly horribly wrong.
  9. On crimsons possibly, magestix vs pikkupstix is a big difference (due to no walking required). With green/gold charms where the interfaces don't show up correctly like with yak, you need the extra clicks to use charm on obelisk, and right+2 left clicks to use pouch on obelisk.
  10. Hmm, out of curiousity I just checked how much forsberg888 has over the sliding year frame.. In the past 365 days he has gained 2375m exp. Unless I'm mistaken, that's a record?
  11. Well, given I got jagex'd by them going back on their word of 'no more bxpw' I am one of those who had consistently used their crimson charms. Given I'm down to 5k crimsons and 1k blues, I will be doing some of my green/gold stack. Depending on what I can cope with, I have 70k raw bird meat for 70k gold charms, and so far got 5k bananas/20k harpoons/4k abyssal charms to put a minor dent into my 135k green charm stack. Had it been clear there were odds of a bxpw I'd of course have stacked up crimsons rather then use them. But if I can do 5k greens/h at taverly shop with double exp it's still a million xp/h. Heck, the golds are 700k/h then, but it's summon exp at under 3gp/xp. Whilst not the 'perfect path', I'm willing to overlook that and at least make up for some of the potential bonus I'm not getting due to believing there would not be any more bonus weekends.
  12. Experience so far: Gargs are very doable with drygores, Ice Strykewyrms are too slow to bother. May need to include the gano creatures in block list.
  13. Alright, I've decided I may want to slay a bit. However, due to being lazy and getting 200m magic and def by afk'ing dagganoths and walkers, I have no use for magic/defence exp. So I would like to avoid slayer tasks that require you to mage them. Melee I can do with bandos/tetsu + drygore maces, ranged with armadyl + dual chaotic xbows. Suppose I could cannon where needed. Which should be my block list? (I can block 6).
  14. And here I was - summoning anyway as Jagex said there'd be no more bxpw's. I'd have to agree with Angerfist though - at least summoning should be capped.
  15. The fact you're only using t40 range gear with be a bit of a giveaway though... Besides, if I decide to pick a fight with someone irl - I have no clue how 'skilled' they are in fights either. I can only assume that the muscular guy might be a bit harder to fight then the slim short guy. However, the latter may have martial arts training and the first one is all power but no brain, or slow as hell. Combat level is only an indicator of 'skill' (well, stats more actually), and is NOT exact science. So I don't feel it should be made to be so anyway. Given the current level distribution, one may as well assume 99s all around :)
  16. Personally, instead of def + highest + 2, I'd go with the two highest + 2.
  17. Alkan overtook Paperbag for #10. Geel is halfway crossing the gap between Elvis and AlmostLost, so expecting rank 6 soonish.
  18. It's capped at 64011 slayer points. No clue how you got 'millions'. That said, tried the helm last night - it doesn't autotrigger scrolls, and I cannot manually trigger the special moves from scrolls stored in helm... (tried with steel titans)
  19. Gains for 2014 so far: Buddhism - 206m (of which 180m summon and 8m def) Forsberg888 - 182m (of which 80m cooking and 51m firemaking, 15m ranged and 16m str) Juggo - 123m (of which 57m summon exp, rest varied in lots of skills)
  20. The prestige system got shot down, sorry. I wish they did some reset system. You can perfectly set a new goal at 26m. It's only an issue when you hit 200m, and frankly.. at that point you've done enough of the skill. To add a few more thoughts on the gambling part: Who cares how this 'squeal' is displayed, or to what extent it's gambling. If that's really an issue, odds of 'getting lucky' should be removed throughout the game, meaning: * Fixed reward rotation for clues * Fixed rotation drop tables for all npcs * Fixed reward rotation for barrows * Fixed outcomes for herb patches based on a known set of parameters * .... If the use of random generators is perceived as tolerable, it's all or nothing imho. About the amount of exp from world events / hati/skoll etc. Could agree on hati/skoll being a bit exp-heavy, but the thing is... we're on a top-heavy level pyramid as it is. If you don't make it worthwhile for the top end, your event is a flop. I
  21. I used to use 'obelisk chat' - but I haven't got the slightest clue if that's active or not.
  22. For dw and 2h to have the same DPS, the max hit on 2h has to be higher to counter the lower amount of attacks due to them taking longer.. right?
  23. According to wikia, with the release of the Fur 'n Seek quest, August 10th 2009. Fenris wolves doesn't appear to be related to a location, but to the mythological Fenrir: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenrir
  24. Yea, it's not very flexible as far as that goes. Change it back please :) Also, while on the 'belgian' topic, I've been trying to compile a list of belgian players with good amounts of exp. here's my list so far: http://www.runetracker.org/groups.php?view=833 Corrections and additions are always welcome, both here or in PM ingame. I know Gertjaars isn't in that list - but I can only add p2p accounts.
  25. Exp progress for this year in the top 100: Forsberg888 powered though cooking it appears, hence jumping back up to #2.
