Why would I need OSX for graphic design... To the OP I would get a PC laptop, especially if you're on a budget. The only thing that Mac users can really argue is for the build quality of macbooks. That aside they have the same exact parts inside as windows-based laptops do. If you treat your laptop well anyways build quality should not be that large of a concern, and companies such as Acer have solid build quality anyways.

Got a bunch of it coded and uploaded. www.zackcerny.net Tell me if you're having any issues in any of the browsers. (Any browsers that don't go by the name of IE6). Also it's worth pointing out that I don't have all of the images I want to show yet in the portfolio and the blog is currently not up. Looking for some feedback on how you guys feel about the fading thing, it was a pretty cool javascript piece I found that was super easy to set up and use. Also I slightly changed up the layout in order to more-easily scale between monitor resolutions. It should work from 1024x768 all the way up to whatever (1920x1080). Hell it almost will work on an 800x467 or so resolution (cell phone) but the first paragraph text goes beyond the "box" a bit. Also the writing is temporary, I'm going to work on getting it fixed up probably next week. I need a break this week, spent a TON of hours coding. I showed my progress to a bunch of instructors and they all really liked what I had so far, so I'm pretty happy. Especially because a few people in the senior project class got kind of grilled by what they did.

Speaking of draining, did like 5 hours of html coding yesterday. Good news is I got a large part of my new site done. What I have done is updated on my server. Only having a few issues with ie.

Which is disappointing, since my laptop can't handle games like BF3, so I have to get it for xbox 360. I want huge matches! I just don't think a console could handle it. Well, the PS3 probably could (it did run MAG after all) but the netcode would probably be a pain in the ass. Plus trying to matchmake 64 players.

Damn, count yourself lucky man. At least you probably know better in the future now. Personally I don't think saving a few minutes off of your travel time is worth taking the chances. Good thing is you found out the easy way instead of the hard way.
