Games You Think Should be Movies
Lenin I managed to actually rent that movie and it wasn't a Blue Ray, so not sure what you're talking about haha. It's not the greatest thing in the world but was pretty decent, and really bloody. My point is what made the game so great was that you were stuck to knowing what Gordon new. It wasn't like some games where you'll get cutscenes and see all sort of stuff the main character wouldn't know. I just think that a Half Life movie could never live up to the game. The fact is if a game is telling it's story right it shouldn't be able to be made into a movie. (Look at braid, it would be downright impossible to convey it in a movie. Like, literally)

Games You Think Should be Movies
What? there totally is a Metal Gear movie already. I wouldn't mind a video game adaption of it though. -- For me I don't know if I'd want any video game turned into a movie. The best video games story telling wise couldn't give the same effect as if they were a movie. A Bioshock movie would make the choices you do pointless, so that part of the story would be out. A lot of the more interesting parts would be out as well. Half Life would suck as a movie because it's not a cinematic game, first of all. The best thing about Half Life is that you're the one in the center of it all, a movie would just ruin that because you'd probably get scenes from all different sort of characters. No thank you on video game movie adaptions.

scariest game
Doom 3 was just monsters popping out of closets pretty much, was a really disappointing game. Now Doom 2 back in the day? Yeah man that could scare the [cabbage] out of you.

What are you listening to right now!?
Come on now, that isn't fair =P. v7BMM-M1Yyw Probably the most touching song in a video game, ever. It's not like the context it is in is crazy depressing or anything too, it's just a really amazing song.

No problem. If all you've ever played is runescape you'll probably be shocked and amazed at the combat for the first 20 levels anways.

Music that makes you want to kill yourself (not emo)
I've been waiting for this. I agree, I dont hate Manson but I really dislike him.. or it.. Anyway, Manson seems like the kind who covers more music than he makes, and makes money from that mostly. However this isnt true persay, it's how I feel. You know everyone was thinking it, I just had to say it. weak ;p

Most death metal bands don't take themselves seriously. A lot of Black Metal bands do but that's another story. :P And Manson sucks >.>

Looking for a New Game? Ask Here!
I've already played deus ex 1, didn't really get into it though so it could always be worthy of another try. (I enjoyed System Shock 2 a lot more, which is a game somewhat like Deus Ex). As far as Monkey Island goes I will say I'm not the biggest adventure fan out there, and I can't really remember if I played them back in the day or not. (I probably tried them as a kid). And not sure what you're talking about them not being popular, whenever talk of adventure games come up the Monkey Island series is the first to pop up. :P I probably shouldn't have tried to ask for a recommendation haha, I'm not sure there is much out I'm interested in atm. I was kind of hoping someone knew something I didn't, lol.

Well I think most people would agree that the game really starts to shine at 25 if you're a PvP player. At that level you can go into the Abyss, which is a huge PvPvE zone with fortresses, castles, boss monsters and more to fight. It also has All 3 factions there (Asmodian and Elyos which are player controled and the 3rd, NPC faction, Balaur) so a lot of PvP naturally happens. It's probably where you'll spend a lot of your time in Aion. That's not to say that 1-25 aren't fun though, they serve as a good introduction to the game and your class. In 20+ zones rifts can also appear which link an Asmodian and Elyos zone together which also brings together a bunch of PvP. If I had to say how long it took me to get to 21...hmm. I've been playing for two beta weekends so far. The first one I played really casually, not playing too much, and got to level 16 then. This next weekend I couldn't play at all on Friday which was a bummer, but Saturday I played a good bit and got up to 20 then, and then today I mostly just PvP'ed, explored and stuff while sort of questing and got to 21. So if you know what you're doing (I did a lot of other stuff other than just level) it shouldn't take all that long for a player to get up to 25 and start experiencing the abyss. The level cap, if you didn't know, is 50 as well. :) If you're more of a PvE player I'm not really sure, I know there are instances and such at 50 and I think maybe some lower level ones too. Really though a big focus of this game is on the PvP.

I do think that some of these mainstream rappers are smarter than some people think. They know what people will buy.

Characters will be wiped going closed to open beta and then open beta to retail launch, normal practice. :) The good thing is I feel like I could probably knock out these 21 levels pretty quick if I sit down and focus on it when the game launches. It was well worth getting up to lvl 21 (i'll prob try for 22 as I'm getting close tonight... I get some awesome skills) so that I could get a pretty good taste of PvP. Of course I just scratched the surface, didn't even make it into the Abyss this event.

[!]First PS sig, and first in a long time... (Update)
Aside from the UI you're doing the same thing in both of them. Of course that being said I think that if anyone is interested in graphic design as a career they should get used to Photoshop, I don't know of any professionals who use GIMP and it really isn't even considered an option in the industry. (As in I don't think most of my professors know what it is, save for probably my web design/3D professor).

Official Aion thread (Visions update)
Double post because there is enough stuff here to warent it. So CB4 is getting close to an end (ending tomorrow at 2pm but I prob won't be around for much of it then) and I thought I'd chronicle a bit of what I did this CB. It was a lot of fun actually, ended it on a pretty cool note (not to say it's done yet, I'm still going to play for a bit more and try and hit lvl 22) with me and my roomate's sorc (lvl 21 and 19 respectively) just tearing hell in the Pandemonium Coliseum. Makes for a really deadly combo, between my buffs and heals (and support DPS if someone dares get close to me) and his BURST we were destroying people. Had a bunch of guy's make a pact to try and take us out, was a lot of fun. PvP combat lasts a lot longer than some other MMO's that have PvP in them (which shall go nameless, haha). It makes it a lot of fun because people aren't just getting 3 shot and stuff, and it lets you think out what you're doing. Positioning is pretty important, especially since people still need to get used to the whole 3D with flying thing. A lot of times Nukkah (my roomate's sorc) would confuse the [cabbage] out of people by staying up in the air and raining nukes on an unsuspecting target. I also managed to join a raid (alliance) and do a fight with a bunch of Elyos that came through a rift to us. It's cool because you can buy these little camp things which allow you (and your group/alliance) to port back to them after you die, but of course they can be destroyed. Was fun because we were looking around for where they were coming from (to put an end to the raid) while also fighting them. Sadly we got our faces rolled pretty hardcore as it was a joint effort between two top Elyos guilds on the test server. Still was pretty epic, and ran pretty damn well. Did the regular assortment of quests and stuff too but I figure that isn't too interesting to talk about. But now for some screens! ignore the sort of crappy Jpeg's. [hide=screenshots] First big encounter which had us getting steamrolled :( Pretty epic shot of my group flying down to get to the elite mobs for the last campaign quest in Altgard An abyss gate we had to go through to destroy it. Music was epic as hell here. I should also mention that elite mobs are hard, we really had to be on our toes! GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER! Yeah what you want! this is a winning team =P. (by the way the thing I'm doing is the game's /taunt, [bleep]ing hillarious And finally a self portrait of my level 21 self. :)[/hide]

PS3 Price Cuts or Bust
Well to be honest if I had the money I'd love to get a PS3 (I ended up paying around that kind of cash for my 360 anyways, stupid wireless adapter) and I don't think $400 is that bad. Either way I'm only hoping for a PS3 price cut because lower prices are always welcomed. I'm not much of a console gamer though, I already feel like I probably wasted money on my 360, even though it is useful to have in every once in a blue moon a good exclusive game comes out for it I'm interested in.

PS3 Price Cuts or Bust
Actually the sony lineup looked much more impressive than the Wii or 360 one, at least what's coming out in the future. God of War 3, Uncharted 2, MAG, that team Icos game (forget the name) and some others who's name escapes me at this point. All I can say is I wish I had a PS3.

Gamestop/EBGames
Used games means the developer doesn't get the money from that purchase either. I mean if you're going to buy the game just splurge and spend the extra $5.

Greatest Underrated Games
You haven't played the best bond then, haha. Or as some would say the only good bond. ( I actually don't have anything against some of the later bond games, I actually had a lot of fun multiplayer with the gamecube bond game).
