Nope. Especially the bit about fletching. Fletching is one of the few all-profit skills, you can easily make a profit doing anything with fletching. If it was opened up to f2p there would be a surplus of Arrows and the best way to get a profit from fletching is gone.

You can still use the abyss to run nats :/ I do it all the time.... Anywho, the best bet is to use fairy rings. I can't tell you how much you'll make per hour because the length of the lines differ. Keep in mind that they will trade you twice, so bring your pouches.. DON'T sell to the general store on world 36 because there will be a bunch of people buying your essence before you can.

Does the set effect only happen on the normal spell set? If I manually cast an ancient spell will it still lower my enemies strength?

You need to do the Dwarf Cannon quest, afterwards you can buy a cannonball mold. Use a steel bar on a furnace while the cannonball mold is in your inventory to make cannonballs. You get 4 cannonballs per steel bar.

Yea, but I get massive smithing xp for cannonballs...which is what I've always used to level smithing. How about I buy a cannon, use up my stock of cannonballs, see how that works out, then possibly buy a black mask... The thing I'm worried about is that people on the forums are only buying/selling masks with 10 charges, and the threads with anything less die quickly.....

Isn't a Black Mask 400k? Thats only 150k less than a cannon.

The more I look at it, the more I think cannon.... I can use the cannon on quests and such, then sell it for a small profit when I'm done. If I die with it, its no big deal. The black mask's value decreases as it looses its charges, I have no control over the loss of charges :/ It has no use outside of slayer (I'm only trying to get 55) and it can be lost while wearing almost anything. Anyone disagree with this?

I have enough money to buy one of those, I will be using it for slayer. Which should I get? Cannon: --Pros-- Very powerful Can be used outside slayer **Provides a chance to get smithing xp --Cons-- More expensive than black mask **I would need to spend time making cannonballs. Black Mask: --Pros-- Cheaper than Cannon --Cons-- Useless outside slayer And if I decide to sell it after I get my slaying done, which would be the better option? Cannon prices are fairly stable but I don't know enough about the black mask.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you collect the snape grass yourself you can break even quite easily with prayer potions.

Don't forget Bones to Peaches and High Alchemy runes. And if you mount a glory amulet in your house you will only need 2. And a Black Mask or Salve amulet is good for slayer.

I use the edgeville guy, and I burthope bad tasks.

Smite is good for wilderness PKing. Knock out their prayer so they can't use protect items ;)

From what I've heard Prayer Potions are the best way to level herblore. Period.
