  1. So, i'm happily training Slayer. I decide to count the Charms i get between Levels and such, just for fun, and i've realized that Slayer is, of course, the most efficient way of getting Charms, overall. I'm curious as to what you guys think the "Cash Value" of each Charm is (what they're worth to *you* in Cash.) Personally, i'd say: Gold: 1000-1500 Green: 1500-2000 Crimson: 4000-5000 Blue: 8000-9000 My estimates are, roughly, the maximum amount of Experience possible from each Charm times 12. Any opinions? ^^ (Keep in mind: It's called the "Grand Exchange," and not the "Grand Alwaysatyourservicetodoyourbidding, regardlessoftheneedsofothers," for a reason.)
  2. Continue, for sure. Dust Devils' Chain drop rates are roughly 1:10000-12000, i've heard. 1:1500 would be excellend ^^, but they're greatly reduced now.
  3. Buy 10 at a time, so you don't end up with oodles of them, and you see lots of green bars. Alternatively, you can put in six offers for one each, and see six green bars in your "Collect Grand Exchange Items from a Banker" window ;).
  4. Is it a multicombat area? EDIT --> Oh, speaking of which, does anyone have a multicombat map of the ENTIRE world (not just the Wilderness?) They used to have one somewhere, but i can't find it anymore =(.
  5. Are they worth doing the Quest for? Which Quest is it, again? =S
  6. Where do i cannon them, for the fastest experience? I'm currently at the Trollheim Mountain, cannoning those five Thrower Trolls near the GWD entrance. Any other suggestions?!
  7. There's nothing morally wrong about it. If others don't like you training your Skills as efficiently as possible, that's tough. Do what you have to to succeed, and sometimes just tone out the other people. (Is Barraging Rock Lobsters immoral because you train faster than others? No. Is it wrong? No. Is it efficient if you have the money to spend? Yes. So, why not exploit it while it lasts?)
  8. [hide=Jagex wrote]Details: Salary Very competitive (negotiable, depending on experience), plus excellent benefits package including annual bonus, private health care, gym membership and relocation fund.[/hide] Anyone else in it for the gym membership? ;) I'm surprised they don't keep their website a little bit more secure. I'm sure they get a LOT of Spam applications =S.
  9. They can try to correct prices all they want. If they raise them by 10M, i (and the rest of the 3rd Age merchants) will simply start charging "Trade Price + 55M" for Items, instead of 55M now. They're not going to be able to stop it unless they seriously play around with the prices and/or introduce some new Armour. I say the market will become MORE EXCLUSIVE, due to the increased trade prices and the junk trades, on top of them. The Market Price will go up and up, and the Street Price will follow suit. Party Hats will come down in price sooner or later. I personally find it surprising that Jagex would loosen up the 3rd Age market and not the Party Hat one. I HIGHLY believe that there's some British bomb in the Jagex headquarters that will upset this inbalance soon, because i doubt they wanted junk trading, 3rd Age overpricing, and Party Hat underpricing to be where they are today. You can't manipulate 3rd age prices THAT much. I'm definitely letting go of my 3rd melee when plate/legs actually hit 200, if they ever do. There's a limit to how much you can stretch demand. It's already really low. With the right people, yes you can ;). What do you predict the limit to be? I predict the before-mentioned "bomb" will be the only stopping of it.
  10. What would happen if: I could smite spam posts for one day? (Answer: An eighth of Tip.It and 95% of the RSOF would be gone, methinks.) Nothing would work, people would die, quit, complain, blah blah blah. The same stuff that happens whenever Item (X) gets "nerfed." (So, did you hear about the nerfing of the Cooked Trout?!)
  11. "They" aren't involved... not that i'm... one of them... or anything. *Looks about nervously, smiles.*
  12. I kill the ones that i've damaged to under 50% of their hitpoints. Otherwise, i just pick up the cannon and run ;).
  13. You can't buy an Item and sell it back within 4 hours of the time of purchase. This prevents "quick" merchanting.

  15. Well, it's obviously not "brimming with potential," as the Examine says ;). When supply goes up and demand goes down, prices go down. More people use GWD as a main source of income = more Hilts/Godswords = prices falter.
  16. It's called the "Grand Exchange," and not the "Grand Alwaysatyourservicetodoyourbidding, regardlessoftheneedsofothers," for a reason. Obviously there are Items being bought and sold. If your offers are out of date (out of the current price range, for example,) then you will not be able to buy/sell anything. The Exchange updates due to the price/quantity/supply/demand of Items, so just because the Items *you* need to buy/sell aren't updating this time around doesn't mean the world is coming to a complete standstill. Everything should sort itself out in the next update; have no fear, the Grand Exchange system works quite well, even though sometimes certain Items don't get updated/get updated twice in rapid successful/do other funky things. Like i said, don't worry about it. Check your offers frequently, and all will be fine. If you can specify what's wrong, i can try to be of more use to you. (Wrong forum, too ;).
  17. I'm looking for a way to get Charms that's sort of different... I don't want to do Rock Lobsters, essentially. Any suggestions? Questions: Can you use a cannon for Waterfiends? Is cannoning Dags worth the Charms? Is (my secret monster ;) worth it if i get Charms per hour, with ~150 of them being Greens? What do Wallasalki drop rates look like?
  18. Do Evil Dave Stews affect Summoning, or just all *other* stats?
  19. Yes, i know it's 99, but with boosts (potions, etc.) what's the maximum it can go up to? Is it possible to boost 73 Summoning to 75? =S
  20. Homer S 777 - Massachusetts =).
  21. Yup, you've guessed it. I'm bored, and Woodcutting ;). I'm curious as to how many Logs you guys have gotten from a single tree, the tree type, your Axe type, and your Woodcutting Level at the time, if you remember. I'm curious to see if there's a difference, (and i'm hoping there is, unlike with Iron Ores and 45-99 Mining =S.) I've gotten 64 from a Willow Tree, with a Dragon Axe, at 80 Woodcutting.
  22. Thanks, yomyth. It's appreciated. (However, i'm a fairly decent merchant, if i do say so myself =S.) Thanks for the tips ^^.
  23. Nope ;). During the schoolyear, i'm not going to be on much, so when i am, i'd like not to have to run halfway across the world and back for a few experience. I could use the Smithing Experience, anyway, so i think i'll do that. Addy Plates <3.
  24. Hmmmm... not useful =S.
