~Delete Alchemy Spells - Save RS~
~IV. - Our Solution~ ~Delete the High-Level Alchemy and Low-Level Alchemy Skills!~ ~Why? Here's why:~ -They ruin the RuneScape economy. -They promote Autoers (anyone can "Auto-Alch.") -They're not even real Magic-Training! My god, standing in a spot for 100 hours with flashy lights going on and off in your hands IS NOT training Magic! It's Not! Sorry; no! Casting Spells that attack, defend, or aid are Magic. -Deleting them causes the Nature Rune to drop in value, thus allowing Blood and Soul RuneCrafting to make a bigger impression when introduced. -They make Magic less of a real Skill. Getting 99 Magic these days just says "I have too much time on my hands!" -Deleting them forces you to train Magic with real Spells, like Bolts, Blasts, Ect. -Deleting them makes RuneScape a fairer (harder, yes, but fairer) game. -DELETING THEM - SAVES RUNESCAPE IN GENERAL, IN THE LONG RUN! ~All i am asking for is a fast, quiet delete of the Spells. I don't want riots. I don't want complaints. (This includes sending Jagex 500 messages a day.) I don't want Jagex to take anything from the Level 60 Pures (no offense) who sit in the Duel Arena all day, challenging people to Duel them with "Obstacles" On. (I also feel "Obstacles" should be deleted. Winning with them On is just saying "I can cheat better than you!")~ ~I want RuneScape to continue being a good, fair game for years to come.~

~III. - Our Problem~ ~To "Alch" a Yew Longbow, for example, a Yew Log, Bowstring, and Nature Rune have to be made.~ ~(Estimated) Profit~ Yew Log - 300 Gp Each Bowstring - 200 Gp Each Nature Rune - 300 Gp Each (Including the Pure Essence being mined) Total - 800 Gp PROFIT per Yew Longbow made ~The point is not that you lose 32 Gp per Alch. It's that for every Bow made, someone, somewhere makes 800 Gp. Whether it's one person or 5, it's still 800 Gp added to RuneScape.~

~II. - Statistics~ ~Some High-Alchemy Prices~ Yew Longbow - 768/3 seconds = 256 Gp/second Magic Longbow - 1536/3 seconds = 512 Gp/second Steel Platebody - 1200/3 seconds = 400 Gp/Second Green Dragonhide Body - 4680/3 seconds = 1560/second ~Assume there are 150,000 people playing RuneScape at any given time. Assume 1 in 150 people is casting either a "High-Level Alchemy" or a "Low-Level Alchemy" Spell.~ ~Here's the math with Yew Longbows...The average "Alched" Item gives 300 Gp per second.~ 150,000 Players / 150 = 1,000 Alchers at any given time 1,000 Alchers * 250 Gp per second = 250,000 Gp added to RuneScape EVERY SECOND 250,000 * 3,600 seconds per hour = 900,000,000 Gp added to RuneScape EVERY HOUR 900,000,000 Gp becomes 750,000,000 Gp (Due to Bans and discontinued Accounts) 750,000,000 Gp comes into RuneScape EVERY HOUR /8,000,000 (Estimated) Total RuneScape Accounts - 93.75 Gp a Minute, per Player ~This may not seem like a lot per Player, but think, there are 8,000,000 Players...Wow...~

~I. - Introduction & Layout~ ~THIS IS AN ORIGINAL THREAD CREATED BY "Homer S 777" ON May 21, 2007. ANY ATTEMPTS TO COPY IN WHOLE OR IN PART OF THIS THREAD WILL BE REPORTED *IMMEDIATELY.*~ ~RuneScape is, as you may or may not know, slowly coming to an end. Prices are going up, due to demand. Eventually, we will come to a point when no one can afford anything. (Party Hats will be a Billion or more Gp each, with Masks over 100M a piece, just to give you an idea.)~ ~What's the cause of this ridiculous price hike? Two Spells: "High-Level Alchemy" and "Low-Level Alchemy."~ ~Explanations, Statistics, and more will be explained later in this thread. Thanks for reading this far.~ ~Table of Contents~ I. - Introduction & Layout II. - Statistics III. - Our Problem IV. - Our Solution v. - Closing & Disclosure ~Criticism is okay. It's even recommended and wanted, but i would like you to post how far you read in your post. If it's not there, i'll tell you haven't read the whole thread. Therefore, you have no right to criticise.~

~Training Farming From Level 65-99~
~I mean, i have no problem spending 150M, but the less, the better =). Thanks.~
-
~Training RuneCrafting From Level 70-99~
~I want is as fast as possible. I'll gladly lose 50M getting there.~
-
~Training RuneCrafting From Level 70-99~
~Dum-de-dum...~
-
~Training Farming From Level 65-99~
~I just want to do it fast. I already have ~100M set aside for this Skill alone. I have 4000+ Crushed Nests, by the way =).~
-
~Training RuneCrafting From Level 70-99~
~Airs are much, much, much faster than soloing Nats, right?~ ~I'm not in it for the money, by the way, just fast exp (without losing too much.)~
-
~Training Farming From Level 65-99~
~I'm 96 Herblore already =).~
-
~Training RuneCrafting From Level 70-99~
~You have to enter + exit the Law Altar alot though, you can max only about 2 trades per minue (2 trades or 50 essence * 10 exp per essence = 500 exp per minute.) With Airs, which i did till Level 70, i managed around 4-5 runners per minute (100 * 5 = 500 exp per minute, again.)~ ~They seem to be the same speed, but one costs 60M less...~ ~Can you give me a total number of (estimated) hours from 70-91?~
-
~Training RuneCrafting From Level 70-99~
~I can trade 2-5 Air runners a minute, most of the time, i get four.~
-
~Training RuneCrafting From Level 70-99~
~From Level 70, i plan on doing Airs till 91. Paying 2000-3000 Gp a run, i should atleast break even. With Laws, i'll lose 45-50M or so, so i figure, Airs are worth the extra time.~ ~From Level 91, i plan on doing Double Nats till 99. Unless anyone has proof that Airs or Laws are better, i'll stick to these. Hopefully, i'll actually profit, instead of losing 50M =).~ ~Please tell me if these choices make sense, and why or why not.~ ~Thanks~
-
~Training Farming From Level 65-99~
~Yeah, obviously i'll buy Yews, Magics, Calquats, Palms, and Papayas. Can you give me the prices on those? Like the average price, and a good price for each seed.~ ~Should i do Watermelons, even though they give like 50 exp each? Price?~ ~Should i do Herbs? Prices?~
-
~Training Farming From Level 65-99~
~What's the best way to go about this. Money is not important; as long as i lose less than 100M or so, i can make it back.~ ~Thanks~

Question: Least-Admirable Skill Cape
~Fletching, Cooking, Firemaking, Woodcutting, Fishing, ect, ect, ect. are not admirable in the least. The later two just proove you have too much time on your hands. They're extremely easy to macro, too.~ ~Personaly, Slayer, Herblore, Farming, and Construction are the only real admirable capes. Everything else may take a while, but if you put your mind to it, you'll be done in two months. I plan on getting Construction and Herblore as my first two 99s for this reason.~ ~Homer~

Your favourite bank?
~I'll put up a Bank you guys haven't seen - Ardougne North Bank.~

The Runescape Money Guide (Full Version!)
~Not a bad Guide. Keep in mind though, eight Willow Logs = one Lobster. If you profit 5 gp Each on every Willow Log, that's the same as 40 gp Per Lobster. Many of your prices are outdated. Sharks are like 450-550 Each now.~
-
How to double my money? 30mil
~You could always buy Oak Logs and make them into Oak Planks (which i'll buy...,) Farm, or buy 4 Easter Eggs and wait a month =).~
-
.:Best Glitches you've ever had/seen?:..:Screenies pl0x!:.
~There was a glitch where you would have two butlers at once =).~
-
Herblore
~Make whatever you can till 45 Herblore. Make those untill Level 55. From there, Super Strength, Super Defence, and Super Restore Potions are the way to go. Magic + Antifire + Sara Brews are good exp, as well.~ ~94 Herblore for me =).~
-
(.....99 Woodcutting.....)
~Yews + Magics are the SAME SPEED for Cash. Do Yews if you want cash. For Exp, Willows, Willows, Willows.~
-
Should JAGEX Intervene?
~To be honest, they should just remove the Spell all together. Sitting in Edgeville with fifty thousand Yew Longs and Nature Runes isn't really "Magic Training." They should rid RuneScape of both Alchemy Spells, forcing players to actually cast REAL SPELLS (the kind that kill stuff.) Granted the Fletching, Woodcutting, Runes, and Magic markets will be turned upside down, it's necessary. Otherwise, RuneScape will fall to it's doom due to inflation, as you've said.~ ~Homer~

.:Best "Lucky" Merchants:..:Post them here!!:.
~I have alot of them lol.~ Bought 3rd Age Plate 27M / Sold Red Mask + 20M (59M at the time) Bought Red Party Hat 83.775M Cash + Pure Ess / Sold 139M Cash later that day Bought 17M+ in Potions for 10M, sold seperately for almost 20M =) ~I'll post a picture if i can later =).~

What's good about construction? also farming and huntering
~Construction was made as a money drain. Billions, billions, and billions mode Gp left the game when it first came out. Personally, i plan on spending upwards of 250M on my house when it's all done and done. Right now, Construction is USELESS, however, because of the Room Limit being set at twenty. There are 19 different Rooms, and with an extra Bedroom for your Butler, a second Portal Chamber for all of the Teleports, a large Dungeon, and multiple Gardens, you're already between 25-30 Rooms...~ ~Way to go, Jagex! 20 Rooms!~ ~Personally, i feel the other two skills were meant to take a long time to get to Level 99 in. I think there was something wrong with Hunter (which should be "Hunting," however.) People already have 100M+ Experience in it.~ ~The last Skills they've added were: Slayer, Farming, Construction, and Hunter. If you notice, these Skills are A LOt more difficult to Level-Up in. They're either time-consuming, expensive, or both. I think Hunter was originally intended to follow suit, but they messed up somewhere =S.~ ~The Platypus~
