  1. 210M: - Red phat - 2k magic bows - 2k natures - 2m cash
  2. I was attacked by 3 green drag Pkers, Koed one of them for a whip and died protecting 3 items, free whip for me.
  3. That was practically the point of the topic, to boost a bit of awareness, but if you want to flame me for it then go right ahead, i hope it gives you much pleasure. \
  4. Ill explain why i wasn't paying attention. I was standing buying mystic robes, so at least a party hat merchant wouldn't of picked it up. :P Something in IRC required my imput, so i was only doing 1 alch about every minute or something, not even looking at my character ingame. I agree - It must have taken it quite along time to kill me, there would of been quite a pile on me in the middle of fally market. I don't know what i'm going to do to be honest. Playing in the hopes of getting 200M is a pretty distant goal, especially with my limited time this year due to final exams etc. Although i'm not going to quit, I have lost some of the driving force behind RS, and the goals i had yesterday don't really seem relevant anymore. So, who knows for now.
  5. I was buying things there, without sound - another lessson learnt. :wall:
  6. Well, ill set the scene. Alching in world 2 fally, I was paying more attention to IRC than I was to rs. Suddenly I check back, and i am in Fally castle, with three of the items i had bought at the time. Sadly what i had left in a nice little pile included 800 magic long bows, 800 nature runes, 2 million Gp and one red party hat, practically my entire Rs existence. I stood there stunned for a moment, didn't really comprehend that I had lost the item that i had had for over 3 years, and had toiled many a day away at the Taverly dragons to posses. But this is not a sympathy post, and i think that losing it has taught me a couple of things that i thought i may as well share. Lessons that can be scaled up to real life - and ones that are much better taught to you in RS than in the real world perhaps. You never know how much you value something until its gone. And not all of these lessons were negative, either. I really learnt about about the kindness of 'strangers' and i don't mean in a material way. Not only was the support from clan members and close friends, but also from people I've never met before. Selling some items, one person told me 'To keep your chin up' 'Your a level above the people who would whine and quit over this.' I guess it may sound silly, but it is amazing the response from general people that you might not expect when you encounter a time of hardship. For me this was an experience that i will value, and use it to understand other peoples situations, whether they be in rs or rl. It also really helped putting Rs into perspective. It is still a game, and never should be scaled in comparison to real life; however the values that you learn from it, can. React to this how you want :P. Flame me, ridicule it or understand it, I just thought i might as well share this with you in the spirit of the holiday season. :P
  7. Post-modernism at its best, get over it.
  8. sorry to burst the bubble, but the butler wont unnote Dbones.
  9. Ive never used a macroer, and i never plan to. But i do agree with you and most of your points. Put it simply, autoers made things that were otherwise expensive or a pain to collect your self a bit more accessable. I agree with banning them because its against the rules, but it doesnt mean i will like what it results in. Who does like more expensive essence, iron, yew or flax? No one who is already established in the game, and if your getting your own materials then it shouldnt really bother you either way.
  10. Sorry but to me this seems like a pretty flimsy theory. Jagex explained once before that the drops were based on a 'wheel' as someone mentioned. The fact about the drops being stationed 30-60 minutes apart isnt neccisarily true either. This might be the average of the drops, but i know that myself and a number of my friends have got a rare drop and then another only a couple of kills after. An example of this would be like when i got 2 half keys in a row from shadow warriors. Rare yes, but impossible no. So i dont know, you might be correct, but it seems to me that you might just be very lucky :P
  11. Is it in f2p? If its not then its not such a great imact :$ but looks interesting.
  12. It is the people who dont understand clan pking and warring who are supporting this idea. The hills dont make binding any easier to the person who suggested this. The bind-follow system already struggled enough on a flat plane and chasing people around in this area, how it will do in this new terrain will not be pretty. I wish jagex could of just left this part of the wilderness alone. Pking and warring in a clan was the last thing that keeps me and many other people attached to runescape. Looks like we will have to see how this new area effects pking over the next couple of weeks.
  13. very interesting, will be even more interesting to see the statistics at this time next year, i wonder if next year will be such a prosperous year for rares.
