I stopped merchanting when I quit, what I was doing now was buying supplsy for cheap to concerve $ for skilling. You call yourself a merchant? I was there, you never merchanted you bought a lot of stuff for cheap and were holding on to it THATS IT. Now you write up big articles to somehow attempt and regain the respect that some people had for you (obviously those who didnt know no better). Unlike you I never sold or cheated so keep on writing articles. You really are quite pathetic launching such low attacks on people like Duke Freedom, calling him a 'Cheater' and such. Everybody makes mistakes and at least he had the honesty to go ahead and admit it publically, and he is still held as a respected figure by a lot of people. I don't know what it is, wether you crave the respect other people give him or wether you want respect from him as a fellow 'merchant' (although I don't see why you call yourself one) but whatever it is, you're going the wrong way about it and quite frankly I am sick of seeing you swan about these forums like you are some great player when you quite obviously aren't.

Check out something before posting about it; You can still make $ with pking. You can make $ from pking, staking at the tourneys and merchanting is still possible. Saying they are making people quit is just stupid, that's like saying a shop deliberately closes it's doors because it doesn't want any more income. I won't say any more, but it is clear to me why people like you do not like these updates.

They aren't working for me, it just shows a blank screen when it's finished loading. I think this has been happening a lot recently?

I wasn't talking about pkers, those who go out solely to kill other players, I was talking about Clans, who go out mainly to kill other clans for control and/or respect. There is a large gap between the Clan community and the Pking community, it is visible on other forums such as RuneScape Community and RSB. PKers argue, flame and set out to destroy reputations and hurt opposing pkers. Clans (with the exception of "no-honour clans, although even they follow some "codes of honour") go out to fight, but also to forge friendships and alliances. I have been in two medium size clans and I can tell you that 70% of the members of those clans were not PKers at all, but they enjoyed themselves and were tought to respect those who they fought. I'm babbling a bit, but I would appreciate it if you made the distinction between Pkers and members of Clans, because they are a completely different "breed" of player. Yes, I agree that the PKing community was a bit of a hellhole, but the Clan community is a wonderful place to be and I am sad that they have been dealt such a blow that they did not deserve. I am confident they will make changes, yes, but it won't be the same. Aside from my mumblings, I do enjoy reading your articles, wether I agree with your opinion or not, it still gives me a pleasant surprise to find out such intelligent people play Runescape. :oops:

What does that have to do with this discussion? Quite much, because if he had, he would know how much this updated ruins for clans. And no, Clan Wars are just not the same. And neither is Bounty Hunter. Again, I must say, that Bounty is full of 1-itemers and teams piling loners (which I believe will be rare to find in the future). Yes, that's exactly what I was talking about, sorry if it seemed unclear. The clan world has suffered greatly from this, and although larger clans are using BH as the "old wildy" they still do not have a safe place to war that gives rewards and protection from crashers/cheaters. For you to say "good riddance" is an extreme insult to me and a lot of people. Ever scince I entered the clan world earlier this year the game has been much more fun and I have met some simply amazing people. And it's not just about the PK'ing either, the friendship and the community around clans is the biggest part, the wilderness is just the heart of that. Right now, despite large clans fighting in BH, a lot of the small-medium size clans are in limbo, either unsure what to do or waiting for any changes Jagex will make. So again, I ask you if you have ever been in a serious, warring clan and/or community? Because from what you have said I am assuming you haven't, if you had you would have never said some of those things.

Yes, as I said there has been a small drop, which is, not much change at all. Which is surprising, until you realise that those numbers are pretty insignificant. So in fact, it doesn't really warrant four pages of discussion :P

It's nice to see this, but whatever they did I don't care, I do not agree with people flaming the likes of R2 and Duke Freedom, they are both respectful players who saw the error of their ways. Everyone makes mistakes, and admitting it is not helped by people calling them "cheaters". I'm not asking to you like these people, but give respect where respect is due.

All I have now are my memories and my huge video library of Player-Killing videos ( :lol: ) On a serious note though, I'm optimistic that they will make tweaks to the new system/add stuff, several JMods have told me there will be a 1v1 area, and CLW will be developed for serious clans, but it won't ever be the same. In a way, I feel guilty for many reasons. I think the thing is when I realised that I no longer love the game (I get very sentimental about such things :oops: ) So if I'm truthful, the biggest loss for me is admitting it's time to move on, and this update was only a small part of my decision.

Is it just me, or does this show a clear drop of ~100k players scince the 10th? :| Edit: This is it over a week: There is a normal rise over the weekends obviously (which shows my previous comment to be inaccurate) But there still seems to be a small drop if you compare this week's stats to last week's.

I don't know really, my friends are the clever type and they aren't too bothered (apart from a few) But as for me, I just can't put my finger on it. I wasn't much of a PKer but I did enjoy it, and it just seems so empty now.

I have lost my motivation to play. And a few friends.

Death of group monster killing, but there has been feedback from a jagex moderator that they are working on a fix for this and so i'm completely happy with the updates now. That's a reassurance. I'm most worried about the big clans. They will struggle to adapt to an area where there is no reward or no risk. If jagex improves CLW then I'll be happy, but for now I'm finding it difficult to find a reason to play :(
