  1. I made it, with 2hp I guess it wasn't that dangerous because of the team, but I was very very scared.
  2. must have just miss understand this sentence then whats yo-yos mean? cause i thought i was sure it wasnt tradable either. Decent stats though not bad I am being confusing :P . Basically, there was an NPC that gave you a Yo-Yo toy when you talked to him. It was the christmas 2004 holiday event, and is probably on both tipit and the rs KB. It was the 3rd non tradeable holiday item, after 2003's Bunny Ears and Scythe.
  3. Thanks for posting. First off, yeah, my noncombats aren't great, and I know it :) but I try not to judge people by their combat level, although when I see other people of my level I do think, "damn, why don't I have that skill/item/whatever" Secondly, I buy what I need. I see no point in rares/Incredibly valuable items. Nope? 100% sure they weren't
  4. ok so, Hi, I'm jonni_jewel and this is..me. A little history~ I have been playing since Santa came and gave everyone Yo-yos (mine is now safely tucked away in my house). I advanced quite quickly, gaining membership around May-June the next year (2005) at about 40-45 cmb. Around that time I started taking screenshots, and although I have some gaps, I have well over 1000 pictures taken. I progressed slowly for a while due to only playing 30-1h a day, and not having broadband. Judging from my pictures, I must have taken a break from about November-March 06, returning at 70 cmb. I then left and returned again just a few weeks after POH's release (around July :?: ) and made rapid progress (with the aid of a better connection) until I left yet again in October due to being scammed out of around 2M, and rejoined in February of this year. Since then I have made pretty fast progress, gaining about 15 combat levels and around 400 levels overall, I have joined a great little clan, which I really don't want to leave... and the end is still not in sight :) A little of how I play the game~ I am a firm believer in Jagex and most of the updates. (I also live about an hour away from Jagex towers :P ) I have owned a total of 5 Dragon Two-Handed swords (not at the same time) I like to play alone, but I like to have friends to chat to. I enjoy a good game of Castlewars, especially when I have new Equipment/Spells to try out. I enjoy questing, when I can be bothered. I overspend too much, but seem to be pretty good at getting it back. I can train melee pretty fast, ranged at an OK speed and magic slowly (craft the runes myself). I firmly dislike Pest Control, and only play when bored, or really stuck at training magic. I have killed the KBD with a group. I don't PK at all on my own, but I enjoy PK'ing with my clan and friends. I have had many Full Rune kills on f2p, but no notable kills whatsoever on P2P. I also Abyss RC, and therefore hate Abyss PK'ers, although I have crafted well over 5,000 runes and still not died. Occasionally, if someone tries it with me, I grab a bow and poisoned arrows and Shoot them as I run to the mage. :) And now for the 1337 Sk1llz0r- [hide=Stats+Quests] I never was much of a skiller, although I am quite proud of my Crafting and Woodcutting levels. [/hide] [hide=POH] My construction Level was about 26, until I came upon some cash and Spent a few days and 1M to get 51. I used a crystal saw and tea to get the armour stand. Also, all the Laws from the portals were from w66 :D [/hide] [hide=Bank(big pic)] not much to say; I couldn't be asked to add NFS tags. If you want to buy anything, tell me, and I might sell. [/hide] [hide=Gear] "showoff" combat gear for low risk situations. Maxed 47 if you want to know. "low risk" melee gear. If it's a situation with possible death (e.g wildy or big monsters) change the whip for D scim or DDS. Range gear. Would normally be an archer helm. Ancient/Normal mage gear. Tell me what you think about splitbark: I quite like it Tbh, better than wearing a frilly skirt. I am saving for Ahrims. Low risk mage gear- hit and run on Abyss Pkers etc. Rcing gear. Spotty cape to come soon. Weight usually 1Kg Noncombat/Skilling. Doctor's gown ftw? I also like to use Black (t) when at parties. [/hide] There you have it. Rate 1-10, constructive criticism would be appreciated, as would any other sane comments :P I might remake this in BlogScape with goals&updates when I have more time, but this is it for now. ~Jonni.
  5. Do you mean naivet̮̩̉̉? Anyways, combat level and maturity have no link or no link. I think total level would be more of a factor than combat level because a higher total level would usually indicate more playing time overall. I actually find some lower leveled players more interesting to talk to. I usually end up meeting a bunch of high leveled gits, so I usually like to talk to the lower levels. Oh, f2p and p2p isn't an indicator of maturity. How they act is the indicator. aye, naivet̮̩̉̉. Stupid firefox.. I think basically, there is no link between ANY level and maturity. Moving this into RL, it's like saying girls are more mature than boys- which isn't true- It's about the individual person, regardless of gender, age, race, or in runescape's case, Level.
  6. ........although i partially agree; it , like magic, can be expensive and repetitive to train, although when you reach level 70 it gets fun.
  7. Mining, although with good ties to smithing, is probably one of the simplest, least developed skills in the game; that goes for firemaking aswell, (although it does have a cool cape) I think overall, although I enjoy making piles of arrows, I think as of recently fletching has just become too popular-It is a 99 skill I would least like to have- because it has lost it's uniqueness that the other skills have when someone takes them to 99.
  8. You mean with such gems as: "wae:blue:Fishy ><><><><><><>"? Yeah.... :XD: well how else do you pass the time? Theres plenty of high levled jerks......there probably the low levls who bought a new account :XD: (just joking...don't hammer me for that) But there are plenty of awesome low levls...skillers for example. Or levl 3 mods :P Yeah, for example, I go to school with someone who is on the second or third page of the hiscores - he is the biggest jerk, spends most of his time getting his school friends to make accounts to buy up money for him. It disgusts me that someone with that rank abuses it so much. And tbh, i would prefer to hang out with skillers than a bunch of players around my level- all the time i'm training with people around my skill, all they ask are things like "total level" or "how much money you got in bank", and then proceed to brag about whatever... lower levelled players just seem to want to chat quietly about sport or something :)
  9. I think the community has a bad name because a small few have "let the side down". Most lower levelled players can be quite pleasant to talk to at times, and their inquisitive naivety is quite pleasant. Most of the time I fish at Catherby, because of the large crowds there and almost 99% of the time, they are a pleasant, talkative bunch. Edit: I hate making a link with level and maturity, so I am saying, in general, lower levelled players are less mature. It doesn't mean there aren't higher levelled players who act like three year olds.
  10. Good luck IRL, it's always sad to see someone go. and just to add, RS was released to the public in 2001, not 1999
  11. I'm scared..
  12. rs forums are down! now i miss the ranting noobs :(
  13. Unpoisoned DD, or d2h, or crystal bow
  14. Yeah, 99 range is something i really want :( congrats though-I saw you in edge bank shooting the roof lol :P
  15. KBD. When you know what you are doing, he is like a goblin.
  16. Nice guide, it sure helped me a lot...alas no drop yet :? P.S, was that you I saw in edge bank claiming to be zezima's son? :P
  17. It was part of the release of desert treasure ;) lol They mentioned it separately though because f2pers would be like... huh :o why is this new hole here ? :P I see it clearly now!!!1! When it came out I was f2p and just wondering why..
  18. My steel scimitar. I had it right up to about level 40, because i didn't know about different items being better
  19. Says it all. High levels moan 'cos "they are neglected" yet they pown the game, get armies of people complementing them, can easily make a ton of money fast. Low levels complain because they get owned, because they can't make money easily, etc etc. The majority of updates are good, well thought out and aimed toward the greater good of the game. It annoys me, because the ranters don't realise how lucky they are: they don't like it? try to find a game with ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3/month membership, almost weekly updates and the ability to do just about whatever you want. (cept use the toilet #-o ) Infact, the worst update I can remember is the draynor sewer. Just why...? :P
  20. Very nice. You kill rc pkers? it is always appreciated.
  21. hmm. thanks. I think i might do some nat crafting :)
  22. Problem is, I can't really afford the runes
  23. Now I know about splash training, but it seems too slow. Pest control is one method I have been using, but it is incredibly boring :? So, are there any better ways I can train? Please bear in mind I don't have much cash to spend on runes..
