Yew prices went up because macroers were obliterated, then they went down because a lot of people would cut them, then wouldn't want to wait to get their money when selling at medium price so they all sold them at minimum to get their money right of way. Yews went down due to people who just can't stand to wait.

Thanks Wakka and amoeba, any suggestions? EDIT: WOW blows, and I don't plan on playing any other online game once I quit RS, even if I do all that stuff, I'll probably restart playing one day while I'm bored, and then get addicted again :s.

So haven't I, and I have been around for a pretty long while now. So I agree with that smilie. I'm thoughtful about that solution though...Maybe Jagex will let the players with offensive names change to a new, not offensive, name? I don't know, but it's a way that they could do it. It's 'I haven't either', just trying to help you out. On topic: I think Jagex should recreate the filter, and block a lot less words, like 'suck' and '[wagon]'. Name changes wouldn't be a great idea..

I play Runescape, a lot, and I think I'm getting a bit addicted. I play 5-8 hours a day and I don't even know why. I've been doing this for about two years, and I almost always play RS instead of going out with friends. Most (I'll guess like 70%) of people in my township are stoners and [bleep] who'll [bleep] you for a cigarette. I have a lot of 'normal' friends (not stoners, or not complete stoners) and I don't really hang out with them much anymore. I still talk to them at school, but we don't really hangout afterwards. I'm a freshman, 14 years old (15 in sep) and I'm not ugly or anything. I've had many girlfriends before and it's not like I can't talk to women. Anyways, I'm addicted to Runescape, and I want to quit. I was wondering if anyone knew any ways to kind of force me to. I'll be giving away my accounts to friends and I'll delete the recoveries and everything, but I have a huge feeling I'll just come back. Please, try and convince/give me ideas to quit for good.

I don't think it can really harm your health, but it can make you drop out of school or become some stupid druggy. That's probably why it's against the law. Except for that one country... Amsterdam, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Trimmed or untrimmed, 99 slayer is a huge achievement. I don't think Slayerbelle got the cape just to be the first to get it, I think she wanted to see if it was possible. Being some sort of RS legend means you've put in a lot of your own time and work to get where you are. Who cares if they have no lifed or not, they're still one of the greatest players and have probably accomplished a hell of a lot more than you.

I doubt rares will be removed. They're perfect long-term goals that anyone can set. If they're removed or become untradeable, MANY more people will obviouisly quit. Skillers and mains still haven't got a really good reason to quit (like the pkers do), so why give them one?
