1. Im not judging the players who use it, Im just saying that the server itself is a waste of time And Runescape isin't? Every single game on earth is a waste of time ;)
2. It's a nice conversation starter. If it bugs you that much, turn private chat off. You seem to be complaining about having a chat with a fellow player in a mulitplayer game.
3. [hide=What happens if I want to replace my image?]So you've just bought a brand new outfit, but, oh noes! :o You've already submitted an entry into the pic? Don't fear, we can replace your image if you follow the template below: REPLACEMENT Name in picture: Location (Row and Column): Current Image: Replacement Image: Replacement URL: For example, if I were to request a replacement, it may look like this: Your replacement request must follow this template, or we will have to ignore it, or eat it. Yes, we really do eat submissions, but dsavi_x4 is allergic to flowers. And rune.[/hide] The current image will be replaced with the resubmitted image, so you will not lose your spot. (I think.) That's correct :)
4. That image is saved as a JPG. You will need to re-take it and save it as a PNG, or if you have the PNG on your computer, upload it using a different host.
5. this will be my last post here as i feel im spamming but i clicked the wrong pic while uploading You're not spamming at all, don't worry. Also, added a picture of saving as a PNG to the first post. (Or will do soon :P)
6. You need an image editing program like Photoshop or GIMP (which is free). Remember that making it transparent is not required, only making the background white. :)
7. It looks like you has just made it to a spot on the first row. ;) (No guarantees though ;))
8. Current Version: 1.0 Submissions are currently: Closed View the latest version of the Great Tip Pic Welcome to the latest and greatest Tip Pic for 2009! In order to enter, we ask if you could read the information specified below. Even if you've entered before, a lot has changed since last year, so we would appreciate if everyone, new or old, will read and follow the information below. Cheers! [hide=What is the Great Tip Pic?] The Great Tip Pic is a huge collage of Tip.Iters RuneScape characters. Any member of the Tip.It community can submit their character into the picture, with the goal of getting as many characters in the picture as possible. The Great Tip Pic has been going for a few years, and now has it's own dedicated team as the project has grown from strength to strength each year. They say a picture speaks a thousand words, so here is the Great Tip Pic of 2008 in order to give you a visual representation of what we mean: Click to view [6.5MB] [/hide] [hide=How do I edit and take my picture?] Taking your picture is easy! Follow these simple steps: Decide whether you are going to take the picture in HD or SD. HD will make your character look more detailed, but it may not run correctly if you have an older computer. If using HD, we recommend turning of Anti-Aliasing, as it will make your character easier to edit later. Equip your desired outfit, and then click the "Show Equipment Stats" button. Wait until your character spins to face the front. Press the Print Screen button at this moment so your character is facing you. This button is on your keyboard, and it may be labelled as "PrtSc" "PrtScrn" or something similar. If you're on a laptop, you may be required to hold down the "Fn" key whilst pressing the print screen button. This may take a few tries, but the more it is facing the front the better it will look in the picture. Open an image editing program. We will be using paint in this example, but feel free to use your own as you see fit. Paste the image into the document. Grab the little handles in the corner of the document and crop the image as close as possible. Make sure you don't accidentally decapitate a body part, that won't look too good. Set your foreground colour to white, and using the "Flood" tool (Also called "Fill with Colour" in some versions), start removing the brown background around your character by clicking on it. This can be made easier by zooming in to your image (View -> Zoom -> Custom -> 800%). Continue doing this until you have removed all the brown from the background, leaving it beautifully white. Save the image (File -> Save As). Save it as a PNG file! This is important! Select PNG from the "Save as type" menu, then press Save. Upload your image to the internet. You can use a service such as ImageShack, Photobucket or TinyPic to do this. All done! Now go to the next section on how to post your image. [/hide] [hide=How do I submit my picture?] Submitting your picture is easy, just follow this simply template: Notice: Only one submission per character, with a maximum of 2 characters per person to be submitted. For example, you have 3 RuneScape accounts, Lolwut, Lolwut2 and Lolwut3. You may enter up to two of those characters into the pic, but only one picture can be entered per character. Forum Name: RuneScape Name: Name to use on picture: Picture: URL: This is what an example submission may look like: Please remember, you need to follow this template. If you don't we can't include you in the picture. We're sorry, but with so many submissions it's difficult to keep on track. [/hide] [hide=What happens if I want to replace my image?] So you've just bought a shiny new godsword, but oh noes! You've already submitted a picture! Do not fear, you can replace your picture by following this super-easy template: REPLACEMENT Name in picture: Location (Row and Column): Current Image: Replacement Image: Replacement URL: For example, if I were to request a replacement, it would look something like this: If you need help locating your Row and Column, consult the handy little index I made for this very purpose. If you're not yet listed on the index, say so in your post. Your replacement request absolutely MUST follow this template, or we will have to deny the request. Or eat it. Yes, we do eat submissions. [/hide] [hide=Requirements at a glance] Your character picture must be taken on the "Show Equipment Stats" Page. For best results, you need to face the front of the camera. Your character's background needs to be edited to be white. If you're handy in Photoshop and would like to save me some time, making the background transparent is highly appreciated, but not required. Your image absolutely must be saved as a PNG. Your post [must] follow the provided template. [/hide] Any questions? Feel free to post them here, or if you have any private questions you do not want to post in public, feel free to PM me. We hope you enjoy submitting your picture, and have fun! Ddraiggoch06, dsavi_x4 and the rest of the Great Tip Pic Crew! Note that this is a personal project, and is no way associated with the Tip.It Crew.
9. Crew can confirm, but I was told that they want them transparent with a 1px black non-AA border :). That's correct. They also need to be saved as a GIF image. Can do :) Just curious, why gif? The first post does say png. All bestiary images are GIF in order to have the smallest possible size, whilst keeping good quality. The first post says PNG because unless you save as a GIF in a program such as Photoshop, the GIF quality is very low and cannot be used, while a PNG is always good quality. If you have a good graphics program such as Photoshop or GIMP, saving it as a GIF yourself will save us time.
10. You can't I'm afraid. Even if you could, they would not give you any items back. It's part of their policy.
11. That's me  Being crew I constantly have Tip.It, the forums and other Tip.It related things open. So you could say addicted, although in a good way ;)
12. Defence cape for me, based purely on looks.
13. Crew can confirm, but I was told that they want them transparent with a 1px black non-AA border :). That's correct. They also need to be saved as a GIF image.
14. I would recommend Vannaka to get started, then when you feel more confident, complete the Lost City quest and use Chaeldar. Once you start completing members quests, and have gotten used to the members world, complete the Smoking Kills quest as soon as you can, it unlocks a new slayer master, and a great rewards system to help you with your slaying. If you get stuck, or need some more help, our Slayer Guide will be of use to you. The player made Master Slayer Guide is also handy to take a look at. Good luck!
