I guess most pures don't know it doesn't change your pvp combat level, don't want to train it, or don't have the cash to train it.

Buy a steam staff, a bunch of astrals, and cast humidify on an invy full of vials. It's profitable.

Summoning raises your combat level in all instances except pvp. On pvp it is written as (combat level without summoning) + (combat levels you gained because of summoning) unless you have a familiar with you, then it is written as your normal combat level. Does summoning affect entrance into certain BH craters? Not unless you have a summoning familiar with you. Does summoning who you can atk and who can atk you on pvp worlds? Not unless you have a familiar Does summoning affect which boat you can go on in pest control? I'm pretty sure it does.
