  1. Okay, so no video game requests...but I thought I had remembered you saying you didn't even want to do RL references. If you wouldn't mind...and I don't remember a direct response to my post regarding my request...perhaps you could try an avvy of Ray Charles. Here are a few reference pics. Or perhaps this one of Louis Armstrong Again, if you do not want to do RL references, please forgive me. I read through your posts and couldn't find anything against them...and since you made that Woody Allen avvy. I'll talk to you on YIM if you want
  2. It's a little rough around the inside where the sleeves, for example, are drawn. Keep your lines composed of single pixels like so. Also, perhaps try some dithering. Here is something i did in black and white...I know it's not that great, but see how the dithering gives it a pseudo-gray color? Anyhow. Looks nice. Keep working, although, I would suggest using at least 4 colors to start out with. Even though it is do-able, two colors are still very difficult to work with.
  3. If you mean RS money...no, that's against Tip It and Runescape rules.
  4. Double post, my most sincere apologies. Here's what I've come up with. I couldn't find a suitable pic of a 'Dark Guardian,' so i just left it off. I won't be heartbroken if you don't choose mine either :P
  5. I'll make something. Give me a few minutes.
  6. Photomanips for sure. They teach you so many things that you can apply to just about ANY other type of art. They require you to do your own digital painting, creating seamless textures, playing with light, mixing colors, and using your imagination. Plus it's a lot of fun when you show someone else your photo and they go, "Oh my God! That lady is turning into a lizard!" ;)
  7. What a GREAT idea! I didn't think it would look very good, to be honest...I did not know that you were making them all transparent. It really looks sharp. Here's mine. I already made it transparent for you...I hope you don't mind.
  8. Looks great. I googled some pics to compare with this and it looks pretty close :P I love it.
  9. I'd love to see your stuff! Please, feel free to add me on MSN if you have it. Either that or just post them on the boards (or in my thread...but your own thread would give YOU all the glory ;) ). As far as entering goes, you have to register, just as you would at any forum or website. It is completely free with no strings attached. Just enter a username, password, email...and that is basically it. They may ask for contact information so that if you win a corporate competition they know where to send the money to, but I'm really not sure. You should register, though. From what it sounds like, you're very talented in PS. :P
  10. I think I'll experiment tomorrow making my own avvies. Perhaps I'll open a free stall as well. Three different styles for people to choose from. I doubt I'd get much business next to your two phenomenal shops, Random and GS.
  11. Hey noob. If you have time and blah whatever, I think I would like an avvy. Perhaps a head shot of Ray Charles. Here's a photo, but if you want to, you can find another one. If making real life people is too hard, then you can just do the head of a dog. Your choice ;) Or just completely suprise me...nothing Runescape related though. If you can, just work off the idea of music. It doesn't have to be a person...it could just be...um...well...something.
  12. That's the shirt :P Oh... maybe it is.. in that case the inside of the shirt shoundnt be the exact same color of the couch:P And does the dress have an aperin thing? Cause that would explain the non-blendyness Heh, yeah. I posted this on RV as well, and everyone mentioned that the couch bumped unnaturally. Jdprs is right, it is the inside of the dress. Now that I look back on making it, I cannot really understand why I chose that color for the inside anyway. She would be wearing a pettycoat type thing...which would make it white. Anyway, this was my first, so these comments will help me in future contests, whether they be invisibles or just general photo manips. Until then, I'm just a nooby :P
  13. Eheh, I wish I could make one. I just don't have the patience to. There are SO many steps involved, and this manipulation ended up having 15+ layers. Basiclaly, lasso what you want invisible, delete it, and then rebuild what "would" or "is" behind the object so it appears that whatever you took out was either not even there, or it is invisible.
  14. Hey noob. What are you going around asking what "lol, damn" means!? Lol damn means LOL freaking DAMN. As in, wow, I think I'll go eat some chocolate cake to couple the ecstacy I am currently in from feasting my optic organs on that piece of pixel wonder. If you have time and blah whatever, I think I would like an avvy. Perhaps a head shot of Ray Charles. Here's a photo, but if you want to, you can find another one. If making real life people is too hard, then you can just do the head of a dog. Your choice ;) And log onto Yahoo you noob.
  15. Rebuilding background and the inside of her dress was pretty tough. Misterxman, the competition system is GREAT. There are always ones open, and they have thousands of members, if not hundreds of thousands. There are some extremely talented people there, however.
  16. That was a very sincere thing to say. I respect you for that. You could have just as easily flamed him. Duke, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. However, it seems to me that you have fully accepted why you were banned and don't seem regretful either way. Sure, it was against the rules, but you made your money in a fair manner. Plus, you'll still go down in "history"...I still tell people that "Duke and r2 are the richest in Runescape" if they are trying to convince me otherwise ;) I bid you fairwell. Good luck in university!
  17. Well, I doubt many of you are familiar with http://www.Worth1000.com , but it is a photoshop contest website which holds competitions and the top picks earn credits for the site that can be used to enter other competitions. Additionally, there are corporate competitions in which small companies offer money for logos. The most I've seen was $500. That's not bad considering when I was 15 (I've been there for a while now), I nearly won, earning 5th place out of about 70 other people. Anyway, this was a competition in which they supply you with a picture and you have free reign with how you want to manipulate it. Here is what I came up with. I got 20th out of 65 people...that's alright I suppose. The left picture was the stock picture they supplied, and the right picture is my manip.
  18. Step 1- Thieve a bunch of seeds...go until you have at least 15 ranarrs. By then you should have enough seeds for a while. Chances are you will have obtained a bunch of other herb seeds. Step 2- Plant 'em. Step 3- Log off. Do homework. Watch 24, House, The Simpsons, Family Guy. Browse forums. Look at clock and notice it has been 1.5 hours. Step 4- Log on and collect herbs (I only plant herbs, so I know the time...I do not need to water). Hope that they didn't die. As you pick, supercompost and plant new seeds before you leave. Step 5- Bank and smile as you notice you have collected 30 herbs from 3 seeds.
  19. Faaarrrrrmmmiiinnnnggggg....... Well actually, it has been thieving to obtain the hundreds of herb seeds. I'm up to 73 ranarr (well I was, until I decided spur of the moment to give them away to someone I met at the farming patches...), I have 32 Toadflax seeds to plant, and 20 avantoe. With the toadflax, I'm having a friend of mine make them into Sara Brews...6k each...I should get around 1m assuming I get 5 Toadflax per seed. I love thieving and farming herbs is fun. Farming other things is a drag, but I know I will get back into it some time in the future.
  20. Oh I've seen some up to 30m+...and it was paid in full. But i think I would have to agree. I think those who were really serious before were actually in it for the art and the fun of making sigs (and to improve of course). Sure, some enjoyed the occasional competition, but I think the new boards have let people showcase their abilities and get some good advice. I miss some of the people who used to post, but I'm sure they will stop by occasionally.
  21. Ehh, might as well get some CC. Here's a piece I'm working on for someone on RV...free of course. The diminsions are per RV size limits. ((It's a tank... ))
  22. Chairs you can sit in...here, let me write it in Runescape terms for you. 2 More Options Sit in Chair Examine Chair These are just chairs to sit in...player owned houses are not coming, nor is carpentry. They are just chairs...to sit in. Okay, Jagex MAY throw us a curveball and make BENCHES suitable for sitting as well. But even that seems farfetched. Let's be reasonable.
  23. I guess I am a bit confused as to what you're trying to do... It seems to me that there is no reason that the board should have sub-catagories for sigs...that would just take up space. Secondly, a sig database already exists in the sticky at the top of the Media Discussion. Thirdly, I don't think many of the older, perhaps more skill people will want to go along with this idea since a) it has been tried before and B) they may get bombarded with "OMG rate my sig pl0x" and "make me a free sig pl0x"... Anyway. If this happens, props to you, and I will admit my error.
  24. My sig? It took like two minutes in Photoshop haha. But anyhow. The newest skull is the best so far. The lines are cleaner and more defined, therefore allowing for more detail. Very nice. I'm still waiting on my 5 tiny skulls though.
  25. Hahahaha. Yea...I'm sure it is difficult. My idea would be to draw five different circles...all the same size. That way, you can keep the size right. Then draw a center line where the nose would be in each circle. Keep adding reference lines, and sooner or later, all you ahve to do is fill in the spaces.
