  1. WHAT THE [bleep] WERE THEY THINKING? THIS IS AS BAD AS WHEN THEY REMOVED THE WILDERNESS THE FIRST TIME! D claws, AGS, and many, many other items will now become nearly worthless. Congrats, [bleep]ex. You can S the D.
  2. Easily. Ultima is rather easy. In fact, aside from a few early Espers when your party is weak, the only one that is of any risk is Zodiark (I think that's his name. The one that uses Darkja.) As if Darkja weren't cheap enough, he makes himself completely invincible when he gets to critical HP. =S
  3. This deserves a thread of its own. TTFAF has a [cabbage]-load of notes, and because of the poor design of GH3, the song is much harder than it really should be. Your only mistake was holding onto star power for too long... If you had used it when you'd gotten it every time, you might have broken 1m :ohnoes:
  4. Durial really didn't kill that many people. I would estimate that the number of people he killed was under 20. And although he PKed a party hat, it was viral advertising that sensationalized this bug (and Durial). Youtube is a powerful force. On the topic of other bugs, many more people were the victim of the Mu bug than were the victim of the 6/6/06 "Falador Massacre."
  5. I think Jagex likes their Cats a lot.. Please refrain from licking Jagex Cats. ;) [/hide] ^ I don't want to know what you're talking about, the mute is for website advertisement... I assume the website you were advertising is "soberscape". And a one year mute? Isn't that over the top? Soberscape has to be what it was. So asinine... This just adds more evidence on top of the overwhelming amount that Jagex does not read abuse reports.
  6. Calling familiars and withdrawing items from familiars is a huge pain.
  7. And do you actually think MechScape will be any good? It's made by the same company as RS... The same company that couldn't give a [cabbage] less if you, the customer, are happy. :?
  8. I've seen a lot of duo teams have a mage helping. How does that work?
  9. But what pisses me off the most is how Jagex removed the BTS because of the deadline issue... But all their updates since removing it have been MORE half-baked and rushed. They HAD no deadline on Mobilising Armies. It should have been perfect. :wall:
  10. Exactly. Jagex needs to offer the ability for people with 2000+ total to beta test in closed, private servers. If they had people beta test software for them, then it solves the problem of not having enough in-house testers and it also allows they to get feedback and make changes to the update before it's released to the public. A large part of their problem is that they don't beta test things.
  11. I remember how with the agility update (that broke the entire game), rumors began popping up of the lending system letting people keep others' items. The rumors turned out to be false, thank God, but Jagex replied with basically "Haha our crappy software caused you to lose items. Tough break, we don't give stuff back" before they even knew it was a hoax.
  12. many players lost items in 6/6/06 massacre and a rollback wasn't given. so i could say its very unlikely. They didn't do a rollback after 6/6/06 because it only happened on one server, and the amount of people who lost stuff was very small compared to the number who would have lost exp/items gained. When they do a rollback, it affects the save server, so all people on all worlds are affected.
  13. I'm very cynical of Jagex, and it's served me well in the past. Lately, all of their non-quest updates have had game-breaking bugs in them... So I make sure I don't do those updates with any valuables. I don't trust Jagex at all, apparently with good reason. And no, they aren't going to rollback. Too much time has passed. Basically a bunch of people were screwed and will quit, but Jagex doesn't care. Those people will be replaced by level 60s almost immediately.
  14. The guy has 2083 total and nearly 200m experience. That adds some credibility to his claim, too.
  15. If you log out during the tutorial of MA, items can be deleted. Quick find code: 129-130-208-59125105 I don't think this is a hoax. Too many people are angry about it and also, there are J mod posts where they basically apologize for it. Way to go, [bleep]tards. No rollback, no taking servers off-line. Just simply incredible...
  16. Here's my opinion of this update: Summoning Changes: C- Info: Being able to click on the summoning icon to use scrolls is very useful. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by the clunkiness of all other familiar interactions. It's really awkward to call a familiar or withdraw stuff from the BoB. Why the hell did they have to separate the Achievement Diary from the Quests tab? They could have left summoning in that tab but still let you use the bubble to interact, too. One step forward and two steps back, par for the course. MA: F Info: Once they fix the numerous bugs, including the waiting room bug, it'll get a C. It's a poorly designed RTS that pales in comparison with AoG. You have to spend over 24 hours of game time in order to get the best rewards from this, which are decent but not good enough worth the time investment. Interface changes: F- Info: The interface itself looks better, but everything else has become an eyesore. The text is way too blocky now, and numbers look too "digitized." It is painful to look at, and it doesn't fit the atmosphere of the game at all. I cannot understand why they made this change. Oh, and they also created a bug with the chat system. When two or more people standing on each other speak, all floating text vanishes. Really sucks for PKing. Overall: F+ Info: As I expected, Jagex's update brought with it a bunch of bugs. The minigame is just another irritating minigame that will probably be abandoned after everybody gets Rank 5. I hate the interface changes, and I really hate the font.
  17. I can't stand the new font. The numbers look too digital. It ruins the atmosphere of the game.
  18. My theory is that we are seeing the commoditization of partyhats. People don't really wear them much anymore. If you're not going to wear it, you don't care what color it is. I think that more and more, partyhats are becoming partyhats, without regard to color. I haven't charted it, but I'll bet over the last year or so, the lower valued partyhats have risen relative to the others with the higher valued hats going in the opposite direction. Eventually, I would guess that all partyhats would have a comparable value. This is an astute observation. Party Hats, for the most part, don't really look that great in RS2, especially on females. There is so much other crap that is actually useful, looks cool, and still shows you're a rich mother****er. Spirit Shields and Third Age will always be the premium "status symbol" items, at least until something even more difficult to obtain comes out, which is not all that likely unless it is something similar to Gold CW armor except with great stats. Party Hats have a lot of history to them, more than any of the other rares, so they will always be the most expensive of the rares... But there are other expensive, rare items to be worn if you just want to impress people. Even though Third Age Melee has lost a lot of its value (i.e. it's not in the billions for a full set anymore), it still draws a second glance anytime I see someone in it. Party Hats just don't do that for me. BTW 1500th POST :?
  19. Outstanding first post. You're going to turn out to be a FINE member of this community. =D> :wall:
  20. ridiculous Jagex really screwed the pooch.
  21. Which is why I have been advocating removal of the marketplace forums on the RSOF since the GE came out. I saw that this kind of merchanting would occur, but Jagex are too dimwitted to see that. Hell, they were too dimwitted to even see that FLOODING THE MARKET WITH GP CAUSES INFLATION! :wall: Removing the marketplace forums will not stop merchants, but it will make their jobs much more difficult.
  22. Goddamn price manipulators. I really, really wish Jagex would ban everyone who tries to start rumors like this. They also really need to delete the marketplace forums, as the only purpose they serve is for [manipulators] to control the market using [junk trading and] fake offers.
  23. o dang, beat me to it (my new sig) [mg]http://i42.tinypic.com/zoeujp.png[/img] edit: i just became unicorn horn rank *looks at avatar* but by putting that as your signature you are doing the very thing you seek to end.
