  1. People like you are why [cabbage] is impossible to buy for a reasonable price right after an update.
  2. Since when is PVP everything? It's not, but it was one of the major uses for these shields, Divine/Elysian in particular. Most monsters do not hit above 20, so the effects of these shields on PvM are negligible. GWD and PvP are the two main uses for ESS/DSS, and now that you lose all items in most worlds, GWD is the only real use for them... And that is not enough to justify the cost, nowhere near.
  3. Divine and Arcane are the only shields worth using, and even those two have very limited usefulness. Divine is ONLY useful for soloing bosses, particularly TDs and GWD bosses. It will make a difference of a few more kills a trip, but is that really worth 300m? Arcane is the best Mage shield, far and away. Unfortunately, only two worlds are +1 item, and those two are conveniently (or inconveniently) worlds popularly used for "clusters." These shields may technically be the best in the game, but their prices are ludicrous for what they provide, especially in this age of "lose everything" PKing. Jagex should have given Revenants the ability to drop Sigils.
  4. Terrorbirds (chime sucks) Black Demons (high HP, like darkbeasts without the possibility of a bow) Steels (high HP, four spawns per world and lots of noob fire bolt campers) Black Dragons (will probably unblock and replace with kalphites soon) Btw, mith dragons are one of the best tasks there are. It takes 20 minutes tops. Just use karils + leaf sword + pure set + piety. You'll kill them pretty quickly, and you only ever get 4-8. Mithril Dragons are the easiest 15 points you can get.
  5. There was a long thread on the RSOF about this where Mod Emilee checked and double-checked with the mod responsible for launching updates, and she reported that their drops haven't been nerfed. If you flip a coin 10,000 times, there may be period where you flip 12 heads in a row or 20 tails in a row. It doesn't mean your coin is damaged. To further support the claim "it's all in your mind," Zarfot posted on that thread I mentioned and said that he logged every abyssal demon kill he did over the course of 85-99 slayer, and his numbers came up to around 1/446, which is what most people estimate the whip rarity to be.
  6. With regards to PKing, you are a noob no matter what you do. If you eat, you are a food noob. If you pray, you're a pray noob. If you use potions, you're a pot noob. If you have defense, you're a def noob. If you just stand there without prayer and LET your opponent kill you, chances are he will call you a noob because you died. The only things that constitute "honor" or "no-honor" are one-iteming (not really a problem anymore), running/teleporting from ARRANGED DEATHMATCHES, or crashing (as a team) other clans' planned fights. Eating, praying, and teleporting in general are all a part of the game and if people don't like it, they can rage all they want. If you don't want somebody to teleport, have a teleblocker in your team or else PK above 20 wild. Honestly, legit PKers do not complain about little [cabbage] like eating/praying/teleporting. If someone manages to get away, it's because you (barely anybody solo PKs without rushing anymore) or your team failed to kill them. The things legit PKers complain about are the crashing and one-iteming.
  7. You do at Bandos. That place is packed on every world, almost 24/7. I'd much rather crash than wait thirty minutes or an hour or even longer for some team to get done and go in. Besides, if you are able to successfully crash, it proves your team is good. If you wait for a world because you can't crash, chances are you WILL get crashed at some point. Sadly, Bandos is "survival-of-the-fittest."
  8. Here's a tip: Most people around these parts don't take kindly to pures, especially pures who whine about getting defense. Become an init pure.
  9. What does this mean? It means he doesn't know. Just trying to manipulate prices. Nice 55 posts. RSW has ins with merchant clans, so I'd trust what he says.
  10. I, personally, despise the randomness of the luck system. It infuriates me that noobs go kill TDs in welfare gear (black hides, rune kite, broad bolts) and get claws after 15 kills, when someone like me kills hundreds of them before I see a claw drop.
  11. You misspelled my name =D> #-o It's JL. Interesting article, though.
  12. Imo, it'd help out a lot if Jagex made some sort of new ring that, while worn, gave combat spells the ability to perform random "critical hits" in which they did 50% more damage for that spell. So if you wear the ring, there is a CHANCE that your ice barrage could deal up to 45 damage instead of 30.
  13. They should make it where you can only kill any specific player once per 15 minutes and still receive loot. That is, you have to kill different people to still receive loot. It wouldn't stop 76king, but it'd make it difficult enough that many people wouldn't bother.
  14. Nah, most people use food. I used food, and nobody ever killed me. Not clawers, not mages, nobody.
  15. Probably for the same reasons that people think that lethal injection is an inhumane punishment for murderers and rapists. :?
  16. People who DDoS others on a game to kill them are such epically [bleep]ing pathetic [bleep]s. There aren't words to describe how much I loathe these scumbags. It's a whole new level of cheating, one that is much worse than the "Mu" bug. I hope all people who DDoS over RS eventually get busted by the law and end up becoming somebody's boy toy in jail.
  17. I am fairly sure that the drop rates for rare items are slightly increased when you are doing a slayer assignment. That's one incentive, and the other incentive is that with potions and the black mask, slayer is by far the most productive method of combat training. You get experience that is only a little less than what you'd get using a Salve Amulet on zombies, and that is more than made up for by the drops, especially at 80+ slayer. After I maxed attack and strength, I went from 94-99 defense in a little over a week of slaying, and that was only playing a few hours per day. Honestly, if you grind combat without doing it via slayer, you're either uninformed or a fool.
  18. Yea they really should update the animations so hits dont start untill the characters are on the square beside their opponent. -.- They should really make D claws take 60% special.
  19. Good luck in the future. You'll be missed, mate.
