May 20th: New Slayer Monster Information.
So much fallacious logic. >_< Because it's not 95 slayer means that it will be SWARMED by people upon release, making it beyond frustrating to try to get a spawn, and it also means that whatever the new drop is will crash almost immediately because of the large number entering the game. And Skeletal Wyverns are on most peoples "block lists," because they lack worthwhile drops and are too difficult to efficiently kill. Granite Legs are ~200k and Visages are too rare to be a selling point for Wyverns. The value of all items is based on three things: 1) Rarity: what are the requirements to obtain said item, and how rare is it. 2) Stats: people will pay millions for an item that just gives a +2 bonus greater than a previous item, simply because it's the "best." 3) Appearance: if it looks cool, people want it. There are tens of thousands of people 78+ slayer, so the requirements to obtain this item aren't that great. It's a level 114 monster, which I presume will use magic and melee attacks, so it'll likely be similar to a waterfiend in difficulty. The drop will likely be around 1:150 rarity. From a level 78 slayer requirement, I doubt the item will be the "best" in any category. We'll have to see about that, though. In short, no, I do not think this will provide anything worthwhile into the game, unless they release a mist/smoke staff or some kind of "black mask" type item for rangers.

Why oh why! Higher levels left in the dust!
I used to get mad at spot stealers, and while I still don't like them, I realized that it's a necessary evil in a game where the creator (Jagex) purposely creates a scarce amount of resources to work with. That's why I don't care about crashing at Bandos anymore... If you try to hop for an empty world, you will waste an hour or more... And then you'll probably end up being crashed sooner or later anyway.

And Jagex will be "generous" and tweak the Slayer Masters so that they have a much higher probability of assigning this creature for the first two weeks after its release. :wall:

Interview: Jagexs Mark Gerhard
13,500 hours? Arbitrary statistic, much? :ugeek: There are several F2P players that have maxed their skills, so what he said is fallacious.

Dude. 78 is not high. There are numerous things to do in that level range: Kurasks at 70, Wyverns at 72, Gargs at 75, Nechs at 80, Spiritual Mages at 83, Abby Demons at 85, Dark Beasts at 90, then it hits a BRICK WALL. There is NOTHING from 90-99, which is over 7m experience. People like YOU are why this game sucks so bad for high leveled players.

D mace is alot better than dds for pking yes?
OT:OMG you post on Tip it? Anyway, the whole "crush/slash" thing is EXTREMELY overrated except against three MONSTERS. Metal Dragons are weak to stab, the CB is very weak to stab, and Waterfiends are weak to crush. Against players and everything else, what style you use makes very little difference.

LOL assuming Chainsaw used Protect Item, his DFS protected over his AGS. Either way, he lost the AGS. =D>

Another boneheaded move by Jagex
Oh noes, you can't just relocate?!?! Having fewer PvP worlds produces an actual problem that affects many, many more people than the few hundred who lost their "homeworlds." Besides, all it requires to relocate is a few mass PMs on your clan website and a sticky notifying everybody of the change. Ten minutes of effort, tops. :wall:

Another boneheaded move by Jagex
Let me put it in perspective. There are only 3 worlds in which people can engage in F2P PKRIs. There are over 15 well-known active warring clans. Wars usually start around 3-5 est on Saturdays and last for anywhere from 2 hours to 12 hours. Having only three worlds available to war on creates a huge log-jam and forces large clans like DF to crash smaller clans like GK in order to have wars. It's unfair to everybody. And there are numerous reasons why Clan Wars is not used for wars. 1) You can only have 100 people participate at any time due to the limits on CCs. Most top 5 clans have WELL over 100 members attend prepped fights. 2) In the Wilderness, most wars take place between the Spider hill and Greater Demons, which is a large area to roam. In CWA, most fights take place in the classic arena, between the two sets of barricades in the middle. With 300+ options (100+ people) on each side, it creates ungodly lag. Lag is not a big issue in PKRIs, because people are more dispersed. 3) CWA doesn't involve any risk, which is part of what makes PKing so exhilarating. Don't EVEN give the [cabbage] about "dangerous CWA" because that's just asinine. Even though most times you lose more than you gain when warring, getting items from killing people is the other part of PKing's charm and it at least makes up for some of your losses.

Another boneheaded move by Jagex
As of today's update, Jagex removed several PvP/BH worlds. Currently, only seven worlds exist, and only THREE of those are F2P. That deals a HUGE blow to the clan world. Finding open worlds to have PKRIs was already difficult, but now it's going to be impossible to find an empty world without crashing and clearing some other clan and without having another clan crash you. Basically, all wars will now become what the clan world calls "clusters." Small clans have no chance anymore, because the powerhouse clans like EH, DF, DI, and EoS will totally wreck them. And when two powerhouse clans butt heads, they'll constantly have RSB clans pecking away at them like mosquitoes. Oh, and then there's the lag. Warring is now going to be one giant cluster****. Terrific swing and a miss, Jagex. Nice work, once again. With all that you attempt to do for clans, I'd have thought you would have more common sense than this. P2P needs less worlds than F2P, because most of the big clans war in F2P as it require much more skill than P2P. I don't really know what else to say. I am very, very disappointed with you.

And still I get dropped by the [bleep]s. Lost full vesta's, dboots, barrows gloves. Anybody who believes D claws aren't OP just doesn't want their cheap kills to be taken away. [/hide] I myself know they're over powered, and I NEVER PJ fights with claws, only rush. PJing is extremely low, and quite sad; you rarely get the kill. Yep. Because successful PJs rely on the fact that your target is at low HP from a fight, the odds aren't in your favor of being deemed the "hero." I think rushing is low, too, but most of the time people can defend against rushers if they have good reflexes and aren't welfaring. PJing is much more difficult to defend against, especially when some [wagon] tags you when you eat twice.

D Claw "Noobs" Ruin the joy of pking?(For the being atked)
AGS rushing requires a little bit of skill. D claw rushing does not.

Agreed. If they made WGS a requirement to use the d claw special, many of these rushers would cease to exist. Sure, a bunch of whiny pures would be outraged, sure merchants would dump and the price would fall to around 15m, but PKing would be vastly improved.

[/hide] really nice TRIP dude. and congratz on the level that was your first trip. : and look at me talk in private \ 4 boots in 540 kills is 1:135. The average drop rate is 1:90, so I'd hardly call this a really nice trip, and knowing you, you weren't being sarcastic either. -.- Way to piss in someone's cheerios.

Annoying players in Bounty Hunter
I am surprised EoS wasn't mentioned in that mess, Musky. They are among the worst of the NH clans. From my experience, VR and EoS are the most NH clans out there. RoT used to be a force, but they have lost so many members that they don't really do much anymore.

I'm no pvp expert, but can't you just kill them? This. If he wants to be a whiny [bleep], barrage him and then range him to death.

Price Manipulation
Merchants ride trends, Manipulators create them. The vast majority of merchant clans are really manipulator clans, but since price manipulation is technically a bannable offense, they call themselves "merchants." One of my friends doubled his wealth in a week by merchanting. He predicted the great Sara Brew rise during the age of "unsellable godswords" shortly after the GE came out... He already had over 1b gp, but he turned it into close to 2b by pouring hundreds of millions into brews and then selling them after a few days. While one could argue that he bought up the supply, that really doesn't hold ground. It's really, really difficult for ONE person to buy up an entire supply of any item, particularly resource items. That's one thing that separates the two-- true merchants work alone. They don't collaborate with other people to form "cartels." Therein lies WHY manipulators are so devastating to the economy... They operate in groups. One person cannot control the economy unless that person is Chessy (she has 7x max GP piles from running the biggest manipulator clan -_-), but a group of ten or twenty billionaires can easily corner any area of the market.

Price Manipulation
lol they don't have the time to wait  it does affect us but not to the point where we would let it ruin the game. if you really need something then pay the extra cost for convenience just like before. And when that "convenience" comes at a price grade of over 400% more than the GE price? It's absurd that at many times the only way to get a particular item is to pay almost quintuple its GE price. There's paying for convenience, and then there's being price gouged for every thing you have. Merchant clans do the latter.

Merching Clans
Merch clans are a cancer of the RS economy.

It's theoretically possible to PK a party hat, if your target has one and you kill him (you have an increased chance of getting your opponent's possessions if that person is your BH target). How likely it is that you would get it as part of your drops, I don't know. The game can't generate them, but it can change hands if you are lucky enough.

How is a typical high lvl supposed to be like?
I've seen many more obnoxious low levels than high levels. The high leveled players I've met who were rude did it because they were fed up with idiotic, immature level 60s bugging the crap out of them with RTFM questions phrased using atrocious grammar. I'd also like to point out that I have 135m total exp, and 90% of that is combat-based. Wanna know why? I think skills in this game are pointless. You are not rewarded AT ALL for raising most skills past 85, most skills lose you money instead of making it, and combat eclipses every single skill except runecrafting in terms of cash made per hour. What reason is there for me to skill?
