heh. dont download a free trial.. go on a download program like Limewire or Kazaa and get it free. Flash mx 2004 is the newest one, I got just macromedia mx which has everythin.. fireworks, flash etc

If you want you can tell me the basic storyline and what you want to happen and ill make a storyboard for the animation, thats what I specialise in :D. PM if your interested. just host an swf on http://www.imgeshack.ws or http://www.putfile.com itll work fine.. .gifs on flash are waay too big for here and for most people itll take ages to load so I suggest you put a preloader at the start, so you can only play once its all loaded.

Identity is suppost to be about how we see ourselves, theres much more to the Idea than just a face. Just cant explain thouroughly in the forum :( .. Well I would like to see more pieces of artwork on this forum other than cartoony pictures and blurry photoshop sigs, I like it when theres a meaning behind them sorta inspiring sometimes. :)

Oh I know your exact problem.. You've clicked to clicked view outline on the timeline.. it makes the whole layer only seeable by lines. it makes it easier when your animating, cus when objects are coloured in you cant see the objects behind them. heres what I mean.. With your picture (reinacted) Hope that helps, if you need any help just PM.

I don know what ur tlkin bout either, its probably something really simple.. If you make a box on flash, you can choose to either select certain lines by clickin a line once or to select the whole object you double click. It can be confusing sometimes but trust me ive been using flash for over 4 years and theres just somethings you just have to learn by urself.. For example two things I just learnt are that. 1) You can create scenes, I just used to just made a whole animation in one scene which made the filesize waaay too high. 2) You can make symbols, these are objects which when you dbl click on bring you into a whole new load of layers.. For example if I wanted to make a character with seperate arms, legs and Head to make it easy to animate I usually do it on the same timeline, but you can convert the whole character into a symbol which makes it one object untill you double click on it, then you can move him around.

haha do more pictures on Identity... Im in the middle of a 10 hour art exam about the topic Identity so you might give me some Idea's, Im hopin of gettin an A+.. Ive doone loads of pictures on the topic, like my sigs for instance :lol: Im in the middle of doing a 500 by 500 piece of artwork in pixels, its someones face dead close up.. A teenager with the left side of his face like a normal teen with trendy gear on and the right side of his face in army gear and camoflauge (what he is now, and the other is to show what he could become..) I might post it in as a pic when im finished.. its gunna take ages :o

yes of course, I am going to make a few :) *EDIT* it would be selfish of me to choose who's sections will go on a sig, so the idea is for anyone who sent in a section can choose 3 other parts to create their own sig. So there are loads of different combinations to choose from.

eheh thats soo true.. stick animations are always great cus, anyone can do em... Im thinking of starting a quick runescape animation (not a stickman animation), just need to think of a storyline..

Ive finished my section of the sig.. hope you all like it.

My section (WIP) this is it so far, ya I scanned but im really bad at proportions straight into paint.. Its a guy stood looking into the wildy, too scared to go in.. Cus ive annihilated everyone, I didnt wanna make the sig too crampt with people so I chose a view out of the wildy instead.. I need to the colouring, it'll be quite bright and bold so you can see it properly..

Well it doesnt have to be about runescape, it should really be a pixel sig that sums out what you do as a pixeler.. With your style and your average settings but it should be done to the best of your abilities.. Remember to put your name on your section! Ill be finishing mine when I get back from school in 7 hours :cry: .. Good luck everyone! :D

Hey I was wonderin if any pixel sig makers wanted to make a joint sig? Sort of the normal 300 by 150 size signature but split into 4 sections like the plan below.. Ill be doin it, that is if anyone else wants to. The idea is to fill your section with whatever you want to do with runescape, its up to you.. It doesnt have to match with anyone else's. When we're finished we each get to use the sections to create a sig, sort of a pixel tribute.. The area is only like 75 by 150 (with a 3 px border) so you might want to make the characters bigger than usual.. And dont make it too dark to see! :shock: Example sig The idea is that people can mix and match from their fav sections.. Like the one above. Ill put your sig onto the this post :) .. Its just for fun, nothing serious!

Oh cheers everyone! :D thx for the reviews. Id like to know if I should make more of these sigs? or stick to cartoons.. Id say the more lifelike sigs are flippin hard cus the face colours are almost impossible to get on paint and the proportions have to be perfect to look decent.

Yeah I agree the elbows should come to just above the waist, the water looks boss but theres a lot of room left empty in the picture. Maybe something in the back instead of blue? a sun or clouds.. The trees look too blocky compared to the character and fountain ( a bit out of place ) so it might be an idea to have the light coming from the left so theres more depth and shadow. Yeah and his head looks funny :lol: , might want to draw a longer face. But id rate it 6/10 cus I mokey looks well cute! :D also I love the fountain.

Newgrounds has tons of animations, all the way from beginners to professionals. Type in the search box 'Flash tutorials' and loads of original tutorials will pop up, but try and look at the higher rated tutorials cus it means theyll help you more than the others. :) Like on this picture youll see what tuts to click on :D If you need any direct help you can add me on msn at '[email protected]' .. though I dont usually spend all day on it, usually just check in the evening (about 7:00pm UK time)

woah, everytime I think im getting better I take a look at these and I feel like im right back to the beggining again.. looks like ive still got a long way to go, I still need to sort my anatomy and style out before I can be compared to misterxman.. But lets face it, after looking at his pencil drawings I kinda gave up trying to be as good as him... misterxman rocks! I guess its probably cus im only 15 but im sure ill get better through the years.

Ive tried to move away from my usual cartoony pixel sigs and make this one, it's a reflection on how we see ourselves and hopefully people can relate to the meaning behind it.. Yeah thats me in the sig, I drew a pencil drawing of myself for an art project so it seemed right to use the same pose for the sig. still version animated vote 1-10

I like it 7/10, It would be nice to see your name slightly faded to go with the sandy ancient effect. It'd be nice to know what exactly youve use to make that background, it looks mysterious. :D

good idea, i dunno why people dont get this. To me it looks like a janitor sweeping up symbols of what he could have been (small plane:pilot, University hat:Teacher? and those ear thingies doctors use to listen to our hearts:Doctor). I love it. man id wear it, theres more to it than just a janitor.. it shows how easy it is to loose your dreams through life and not even realise till its too late. Well thats what I got from it :D (I wrote this before I read the other posts!!)
