  1. The problem with this is that if there are only four of them the prices will be ridiculous and will just about kill the economy, and if they are worth that much people will be more likely to try something like: Scammer: Hey I know how to make your armor one of the powered kind Player: Really how? Scammer: Take it to the greater demons in the wild, wear no armor, bring no food, then use up your prayer on a strength spell and wait a while.(just one of many possibilities.)
  2. I've seen like 10-12 jagex mods because I like to spend some time in Lumby preventing new players from being scammed and everytime there is an update to the rules you can find a lot of them there. But I would be careful about bugging them because they are trying to do their jobs.
  3. I like this idea, its gives them a little more power than regular players, but a little less than actual player moderators so they don't have to do as much of a background check on them. Plus I know how it feels to go past a yew tree add all of the macros to your friends list and then check and report them for the next 30 minutes to an hour while your trying to do something else.
  4. Yeah, I agree. I have absolutely no problem with the fun ones like the Drill Demon, Mime etc. but I can't stand some of those ones that don't give you anything and affect everyone. Like for example those ones that make your axehead fall off (I think they finally got rid of it) it rarely works on macros and when it does its not like it actually hurts them. The only people it works on are people with one phone line. My friend lost 3 rune axe heads after he lost the head then lost his connection. Sure its not that much money but it is annoying to have to go and buy another axe. I guess what it comes down to is the only way to really hurt macros is for everyone to report them not just a few of us, but everyone and if we do we could maybe, just maybe put a dent in them.
  5. If you don't have any stats running airs is a good way, or you could buy eyes of newt from the rune store in Port Sarim and sell them to people on the forums (I think there are some guides on this in AoW). If you want to make money using skills fishing, mining, and woodcutting are always good.
  6. I know I found some Runescape history in the knowledge base on the Runescape home page, and I think there might be some guides on the tip it home page but I'm not positive on that one.
  7. Ok sorry for such a noobish post. And thanks for the info.
  8. I'm not a member so I sincerely apologize if this is just a bunch of bull, but I've always heard that it's just about impossible to beat Tz-haar fighting pits without guthans, and I know that prayer pots are a must bring a lot of those or your going to get creamed.
  9. Yeah, I've heard from multiple reliable sources that the best way to level your woodcutting is by chopping willows, and I think its the best way to level your firemaking as well.
  10. Yeah, there are quite a few level 3 Mods, I've seen a couple myself. Most of them are skillers who reported tons and tons of macros. And as for the bad mod thing, yeah I've heard about a lot of bad mods. In fact my friend saw a mod who was luring, which wasn't against the rules at the time but he didn't think a mod should be doing it so he reported him. The next day he saw him still with his crown armor trimming, so he reported again. Two days later he saw him pass scamming and he reported again. Three weeks later he saw him yet again item scamming and yes he still had his crown. Moral of the story, mods do scam, and not only that they hardly ever get their crown taken away. I personally think its because so many people report them just for the heck of it jagex rarely looks into it. But really the amount of good mods far outweighs the very, very few bad ones.
  11. Holy cow thats an amazing guide.11/10, perfect, never seen a guide that good, step by step easy to read instructions with pictures for everything. I only wish I was a member so I could do this myself. Again great, great job! =D>
  12. As much as I hate scammers, and boy do I hate scammers, I am afraid that I have to agree with you. Getting scammed in this game could help you avoid scams in the future, as experience is the best teacher. And to end this with a quote, I believe it was Winston Churchill who said something to the effect of " We must learn history so we do not make the same mistakes in the future."
  13. Yeah Bobbington is right Rule 1 states that you can't report someone for offensive language if it is starred out, but technically if you do what a lot of people like to do and sware non stop you can be reported for Rule 1 under flooding the chat window. But really I can't understand why so many people will report for it, the only time I report it is if its non stop or extremely racist.
  14. 10/10 Beautiful guide, full of information, extremely accurate, and very, very well organized. However, I would add to the part about macroers that you should talk to them over private chat.
  15. Great guide 10/10, although I'm not to sure about the password generator part but I've never used one so what do I know.
  16. If you go to the rules page on the Runescape website and click on the one about third party software there is a bunch of stuff on what makes certain programs legal or illegal.
  17. Here we go, what do you feel is the worst place in Runescape, be it because of scammers, autos, rudeness, lack of things to do or something else. What do you feel is the best place? The place can be a town or some other well know area i.e Lumby swamp, hill giants. It would also be nice if you provided the reason why you feel this way.
  18. You've probably all posted suggestions you wanted to see added to Runescape, but this post is going to be all about what you don't want to see added to Runescape, be they legitimate that may actually be added, or just crazy ideas that will never happen but you definitely would not want to see added. Also post any things that are now part of Runescape that you would like to take away, and I'm sure we won't get any repeated more than once (cough) wildy ditch (cough). So post away but lets keep it PG. :shame: Maybe PG-13 :-k
  19. I see a ton of player mods because I for one can't stand scammers so I spend a lot of time in Lumby trying to get rid of some of them and theres always p mods there. As for Jagex mods I had only seen 1 until they made solicating bfs or gfs against the rules then I saw around 8 in Lumby one day and about 5 the next.
  20. In my opion I too believe that starting more than one account is a waste of time but that is just an opion some other people may see some fun in it. But there are some legitimate reasons against two accounts. The first being on pure accounts, for example mage pures, it is expensive to level mage and would take forever to get the money for the runes using the skills on that account. So they just trade the money to that account from their main account. Which is 100% against the rules no matter what way you do it: drop trade, log in two accounts at the same time, or just trade through a trusted friend. It is always in violation of the multiple log in rule. So really the wild has become dominated by people who broke the rules in order to get the skills need to be as good at pking as they are. Although in reality most pures are usually really easy to kill. As for skillers I really dont understand the point of them, theres no way to get the raw materials they get to there main account without breaking the rules, you get yews just as fast on a wc pure account as you would on your main, and you get to 99 of a skill just as fast on either kind of accounts. And as for a reason that isnt a matter of opion, level 3 skillers make it harder to locate macros, think about it if there werent level 3 skillers you would almost know for sure that level 3s and 4s were macros. And also they make it harder for Jagex to stop macros because they have to make sure they dont affect skillers when trying to get rid of macros. But this was just my opion and if you do have skiller or pure accounts I dont hold anything against you. And sorry this got so long.
  21. I'm not sure that over would work because then you couldn't see what was on under the top layer, good way for scammers to wear like monk robe over something much better, ask for a deathmatch and then win. But I do like the ring idea cause if you cant see them then really whats the point of non-members rings.
  22. K thanks a lot for the help.
  23. I was just wondering if the old password scams are still reportable now that your pass is blocked. And if they're not should I report in a different category?
  24. I support this idea non members do need more bank space. And even though I am a non member I have multiple member friends who either have f2p accounts or went back to f2p and couldn't believe how hard it was to store all their items. P.S. I liked how you didn't just say give us more bank space!!!!! but actually provided logical reasons for it.
