Thanks for the posts guys and Nomar i see what your thinking but first off it would mainly be for things like steel bars, where if you got the stuff to make the steel bars it takes forever to make all of them, but you could pay someone 50 each to make them, and you couldnt just buy already smelted steel bars and try to sell them. Also to your second point if they didnt spam and put up ridiculous prices on normal trade they probably wont do it on contracts.

I think I have an idea that would greatly benifit the Runescape economy, contracts. The idea goes as follows: I. Acquiring the Contracts. The contracts would be found in a corner of the bank. To prevent people from taking hundreds of thousands of them all contracts that have not been filled out within 1 day of acquiring them will be destroyed. II. Filling Out the Contracts. The contract would have multiple things to fill out: 1.Time in which the job shall be done-optional (if specified money must be payed in indivual incriments, not a lump sum). 2. Job to be done- there would be a list of jobs to choose from and there will be a place to suggest jobs that are not included on the contract as of then. 3. Amount of items to be used and value placed on tose items-indivually. 4.Payment-indivual or lump sum. 5.Neccessary skill. 6.Signature. III Using the contract To use the contract the contractor must look for someone who is willing to be contracted into the job the contractor wants to be done (there could possibly be a forum for contracts). When he finds an employee he will trade with him and offer the contract in the trade. If both accept then instead of going to the second trade it would go to a contract screen where the employee will be able to examine the contract, and if he likes what he sees and has the neccessary skill levels he will be able to sign it and the contract will be come official. The contractor will then deposit the neccessary goods and the payment into a contract box for the employee to remove (the payment will not be removable until the job is complete). When the employee removes the goods they will be almost like noted but they are untradeable, undroppable and the only thing that can be done with them is what was specified in the contract. When the employee finishes the job he will deposit the goods in the box and the payment will become removable unless the contractor specified that he wanted to be present at the time of the exchange. Then the contract will be fulfilled and will be destroyed. IV. Contract termanation or voidness If the contract is specified with a time and the job isnt finished within that time the goods will be taken from the employee and he will recieve the pay for what he had finished. If there was no time mentioned, but the employee doesnt do the job the contract will become able to be terminated. The time that this happens will vary from job to job. If the job is terminated all the materials are returned and the employee will be payed for what he got done. V. Summarized Put simply its a way for you to have someone do a job for you, and rest assured they wont just take the material and run e.g. running ore to your bank to give back to the other player later. And it also guarantees that if your doing the job you will be paid. Please tell me what you think good or bad. And any suggestions will be much appreciated. (I am working on a way to make contracts tradeable, any ideas for that would help to). Packer15. P.S.- This isn't a way to buy materials its a way to have your raw materials made inot a value added material by another player, not an npc.

Well actually I think the timer is an amazing idea, extremely inventive. But no matter what you do people will always complain so I would just keep the timer, but maybe like give you 15 seconds to put in a pin number (it will tell you the number to put in) and the time it takes you plus the accuracy determine how long you have to wait.

This is actually a pretty good idea except people will complain about having to wait for a minute. But I'm not sure if you should put it on forums cause now all the people who make bots or macros can read it.

I would elaborate a bit more on your post but I support. A clan system ingame for runescape would be pretty fun.

I think this is an amazing idea. Even though there have been a lot of other posts similar to this yours went above and beyond all of them. It worked out most of the problems and was 200% better. I support. :thumbsup:

I dont think this would work mainly because if they dont have a crown or any proof they are "hunter" mods it would really open the doors to scammer. Also I dont think your really supposed to hunt for rule breakers, but if you want to catch a bunch theres always a ton in lumby. Sorry. :(

I support because even though you can use chat hide to see trades when you do you cant see what other people are saying when your trade screen is up and say if someone is scamming you cant see their name to report them. Great idea. :thumbsup:

I support the chat idea but not the swear idea. I think that it might cause some problems. Like can you report people for using swares that would normally be blocked out and would be unreportable but they're not blocked out on yours.

Actually rule 1 does cover spamming my friend got a black mark for it, but yes i do think that there should be a rule against spamming and if they did put it into an already existing rule like rule 1 just as they did with solicating boyfriends or girlfriends the same thing would probably happen where nobody would know its against the rules. So maybe making an entirely new rule would work better I support. :thumbsup:

First if they did just get their level over 2 it would still show up as 2. And second it wouldnt be for everything just crafting level.

I definitley suppot this idea. I've seen how excessive begging can ruin the game for high levels, and mods. And I've seen a lot of beggars turn into scammers. And as to the ignore list it fills up and I've seen times when the person being begged would have to add people to ignore non stop.

I think that this would slow down regular players and skillers would definitely hate it. Also I dont think your supposed to post about macros because then they know what people are doing to get rid of them. Sorry. :cry:

Yeah thats a really good idea i will edit my original post to fit something like that in.

All the guides I've seen on pures have been under moneymaking, monsters and others.

Did you check to see if this bug had been reported yet and if it isnt i definitely think you should report it yourself.

I think that the idea is good, but there are still a few rough edges that need to be improved. For example if you could trim it yourself it would be impossible to convince people the armor trimming is a scam. There are some other flaws but other than that i think its a good idea. If you can fix the scam parts you can put me down as a supporter. :thumbsup:

I'm sorry to be such a jerk, but i think this idea is to confusing for what it contributes to the game. And maybe to improve the idea you should state which level in which skill you would need to enter the guild.

I can not stress this enough! I am not saying this is a major problem I am just saying theres an easy solution you might as well fix it.

Yes i said in the original post its not the worst scam out there but its an easy fix.

I think you guys are all thinking about this from the wrong point of view. The view of a level lets say 40 or above someone who has a basic understanding of how runescape works. You got to look at this as how a lower level thinks. When you first started I bet most of you thought that 1k was a big deal. Enough to make you quit if you lost it, and I bet you thought that if you got a gem cut it would be worth more, just examine one. And as for the people who do the scamming yes they're not experienced people who scam for a living, they're just low levels hoping to make a quick buck they have no idea its a horrible plan. Sure you just not have your gems cut by a stranger, but you also shouldn't beg, try to get your armor trimmed, not check the second trade screen etc, etc... but people still do that and you will never be able to convince them not to.
