  1. Can't wait to see: My younger sibling got onto my account and botted, not me!
  2. Banks were given a carrot and a stick. The carrot was the fact that they could make loans to people and then offload them for a profit to the federal government - Fannie and Freddie. They weren't acting as banks, they were acting as clearing houses (I believe Fannie & Freddie own like 90% of all mortgages)The stick was that if they refused to make loans to people with low income or bad credit, they were threatened with lawsuits and penalties.
  3. Logged into a F2P world with my P2P account and cooking a tuna gave me 270 xp. Seriously JaGEx?
  4. Not meaningless. Out of place then. IMMORAL. That's what it is. I see what you did there.
  5. I think JaGEx needs to start dishing out faster mutes and harsher punishments. A few temporary IP bans would work wonders...
  6. I lub bots. Enough to make a siggy from them.
  7. Was driving back to school on the interstate. The traffic was pretty heavy, and in the left lane there was a very long line of cars passing a few semis. In my rear view mirror, I see someone barreling up the right lane and jam his way in right after the car that was just behind me. He then comes right up behind me, about 15 feet from my bumper. First of all, we're going ~70 mph (112kph). Second of all, being 15 feet behind the guy in front of you won't let you pass the semi any faster, it's just plain dangerous and stupid. I brake checked him (tap on the brakes to let him know to get off my a--), guy doesn't even flinch. I let off the gas and slow a couple mph, guy gets even closer and then flicks me off. Finally when we all get past the semi (but barely enough distance to get over), he cuts off the semi and starts passing on the right, finally cutting of the guy 5 cars ahead about to pass another semi. 20 minutes later he's progressed about half a mile ahead of me. In that time he cut off about 3 cars and 2 semis, never signalling to get where he was. It's idiots like that who I hope run into a barrier and burn in a twisted heap. Related video below:
  8. It prevents you from running to the orb. You could also click on the square below you. That takes a little more skill. ;)
  9. Pretty much my thoughts. Someone who you could have a beer with and still like them afterwards. Yeah! And as long as they aren't staff. I hate those jerks.
  10. Sometimes its better than when your math teacher uses greek and they writing isn't legible... Is that a funky t, a psi, or a stupid w?
  11. Been hearing on the news and reading on drudge that the storm and its coverage were a bit overblown. Seems like the biggest deal was and is flooding, winds and surge (the hurricane element) not so much. Glad to see people here are alright.
  12. It really isn't, just pick a team to lose each week, and you can't pick a team twice.
  13. Can we a get a loser's bracket going? [hide=sample rules] NFL loser's bracket The goal of this game is to consistantly pick a losing team in the NFL. Each week before the first NFL game starts you must post a team that will lose its game. You may not use the same team twice. The winner will be decided by the person who picks the most teams in a row, up to 16. A no response to this thread will mean that you will have picked the worst team you haven't picked yet. The first tiebreaker will be decided by the person who picks (correctly) the "most best teams" at the time of their pick as determined by ESPN's power rankings (The lowest sum of their power rankings). The second tiebreaker will be (if needed) who correctly guessed the highest ranked team (at the time of their pick) to loose. If in some way we need a third tiebreaker, you all win. Congrats. [/hide]
  14. I'm not sure what the added expense to changing a binary from isP2POnly from true to false. Other than the Bury-All, what we usually ask for has already been developed and isn't in use. Also as Kaida pointed out, the F2P segment gives JaGEx loads of free advertising from Book of World Records among other things. Adding extra content on f2p servers costs money, regardless if the stuff has already been developed. It also gives less incentive to join p2p, which lowers potential profit, which also happens to be the purpose of f2p. F2p obviously has a value to the game, that's why it exists. But adding new content to f2p wouldn't do anything. More things to advertise is useless if it doesn't actually get people to subscribe. And like I've pointed out before, I'm not going to subscribe so I can ignore the bonecrusher, I'm not going to subscribe so I can use master gop robes, and I wouldn't subscribe for Bury-All. Having these things would keep me around F2P longer, especially when it comes time to grind prayer or runecrafting.

  16. I know its "generous" in that you can continue playing as long as you want, but I don't want to pay extra to ignore stuff that I'm asking for here. If "bury-all" was implemented in F2P/P2p, I'd ignore it if I paid $6/month because I'd "Altar-All" instead. Since I'm P2p right now, I don't use the bonecrusher because I'm saving my tokens for a CLS... even if I had enough tokens for both I'd still ignore it because I'd rather have a free inventory space for another potion instead of the pitiful prayer experience. Also as far as the new runecrafting robes are, I wouldn't pay $6/month just to use those. The first set of runecrafting robes should've included an extra something anyway, instead of being purely decorative (Heck, I'd prefer members robes to get a bigger bonus as long as the standard robes got a small bonus).
  17. I'm a member too, I pay for the things that actually get use. Having been a long time F2Per and a P2Per, items like the bonecrusher have very little use in P2P but would be a very welcome addition to F2P. I don't think the solution is to pay $6/month to ignore obsolete content.
  18. not much, I'm about as blind as a bat.

  19. Republicans. Progressives and Liberals. It'd be much easier for one person to just post "The guys I don't agree with" and everyone else to just +1 it. Save us all a lot of argument down the line. Maybe, but lots of times "The guys I don't agree with" are fun to talk to and sometimes they give me a new point of view or insight I don't have. There's very little hope for progressives though...
  20. Congratz. Btw, how many sour skittles did you have to give to tripsis?
