Looks more like Baldurs Gate 1
  2. ^^^I friggin' loved Jonny Bravo. That show was hilarious. I liked the Scooby Doo crossover episode, that was epic.
  3. I enjoyed Billy and Mandy. That show made so many references to things kids wouldn't understand, and it was usually pretty disgusting and morbid. That show was really good.
  4. But, once again, this movie has no excuse for being so shallow. It is not totally based on a comic or TV show. I know Sam was not in any of the previous Transformers stuff. They are just using the Transformers characters in their own story. I do not always complain about shallow story, I enjoy superhero movie, comic movies, but this ones story was so shallow...that is probably why we were subjected to a 30 minute scene of nothing but explosions and transformers killing each other. The movie could have done a lot more, but it seemed like they stretched it to it's limit, it could have probably been quite a bit shorter if it didn't add in all the unnecessary fan service, jokes, fighting. Apparently nobody has really seen a comic book movie lately though, because the new adult superhero movies are crazy deep. Dark Knight, Watchmen. Even then I enjoy comic book stories, even if they are a bit shallow. This one though had that sense of been there done that, and was predictable. At least a lot of comic book stories don't have a plot where you can go "Yeah, this will happen, and this."
  5. I watched Gurren Laggan last night on Sci-Fi. I didn't know it was by Gainax! I might have to finish watching it now.

Um...I am sorry to butt in, but when did the VL become the religious discussion thread? Belief is the personal opinion of an individual. People generally like to be put in groups, thus we have Christians and all the various plays on the religion, we have Muslims, Buddhists. The thing is, people do not seem to create their own religions anymore. And that's my problem with the world is that we can have a collective group of religions, but when bringing up some kind of other religion, using different ideas, the person doing so is shunned. How can a person be shunned for personal beliefs? Religion, in truth, has more facts against it usually than with it. Christianity can best be summed up as "God crapped out the world in seven days...", wait, why does God have to take seven days to create the Earth? If he was so powerful, then why the hell did it take him so long to create this planet? God can be likened to an invisible guardian, but, has anyone ever thought he could be a demon? If there were a god, think to yourself what he has done to the human race, his race, over the past thousands of years. If there were a god, I could quite simply say he was a demon, or the devil. Oh, but can't say that in a church because your [wagon] would be kicked out, because Christians become defensive. Really defensive. Who's to say Satan is not the anti-christ? Who's to say we aren't supposed to be following him? Who's to say by following god, we are actually following the anti-christ? Makes you think right? I am not atheist, but Christianity, to me, is so full of holes. Religion in general is full of holes. Religion is pretty much taking sides with a god or deity, without any knowledge of their intentions. "Oh, god is good." Who's to say? He ended up flooding the whole world and killing everyone but Noah because he was so pissed that they were not praising him. I would say if he were real, he should've done that a long time ago. "Satan is bad." We are told to believe that. I am not a satanist, but I am saying that this book, written ages ago, the Bible, takes sides. It drastically does. It basically tells you, "Good is god, Satan is evil". Does anyone else ever find this somewhat odd? The book has to put right in there what side we should take. Why should we pray to an unseen force that has done nothing since the days of Jesus? Oh, there are the people who prayed and stuff happened, but those are the crazy ones who apparently think there is no such thing as coincidence. I ultimately find the bible too biased. Follow Jesus for retribution, follow the anti-christ for an eternity in hell. But here's the thing, if this event happened, how the hell are we to know who is who? Another thing that makes no sense, is where is heaven, where is hell? Hell is usually described as being the center of the Earth, but how the hell is that possible? One theory going around is that we are all, basically, electric energies. When we die, the energies move on, either to another body that is missing energy, or to wherever. But I drink water, so these electric energies things seem a bit fishy to me. Do we know anything about death? No. Will we? Not until we die.
  7. I think it was a toy, and a cartoon series. 80's cartoon anyway. I guess they have had a couple new versions of it over the years that have all bombed.
  8. Adult Swim has started to suck since they quit playing anime and quit playing the Hannah Barbara titles.
  9. Yeah, a lot of people do expect more out of there comic book movie adaptions. How do you explain the thousands of Watchmen fans who fought for months over how good the movie was and how accurate it was. Some people don't specifically go to movies for the experience, they go for a deep experience. Yeah, there were tons of people before and after the Watchmen movie that fought over it for various reasons. I am not a huge fan of Transformers, I haven't even seen the whole first movie, I am just someone who enjoyed it. Not really a fan. I just find that the new one is not as exciting an experience. I hate long, drawn out fight scenes like the one displayed in Transformers 2. I don't go drink with a friend and talk about other stuff after a movie, we usually discuss how either awesome it was, or disappointing. Everyone I went with said it was OK, it just didn't do anything exciting. Sure a lot of comic movies are random shooty, blowey uppy fests (see Punisher: Warzone) but when you set up the first one like Michael Bay did, and then kind of crap on the audience with a boring, drawn out experience... That's another thing, people who enjoyed the original went in there looking for a companion to the original and found, instead, a broken mess. Nothing comes together and it is boring. I hate sequels, especially ones of really good movies that you expect a lot from, and end up finding yourself watching it and saying "I can't believe I payed to see this. What a sequel...".
  10. The movies were lame. The first was alright since it was fan service, but the other three, I'm sorry to say, blew. Woohoo! I own all four seasons box sets and the first movie! I am a huge fan of futurama, I even have a bender poster in my room. When I first heard the news I started to party! Hopefully, going back to it's roots as 22 minute episodes will let them do much better work.
  11. Comic Movies that were not shallow: Watchmen Dark Knight Batman Begins Hell, even some of the cartoon series based on comics were deep. The Justice League. Teen Titans was kind of deep. I don't know where your coming from, but comic books are the basis for many deep cartoons and movies. I don't care if the movie is that shallow, but if it's going to not have a good story, then at least it should have a back up, whether it be action scenes (which sucked), comedy (which sucked), or whatever else. The movie was sub-par and many people would agree with me when I say that it was a dissappointment for fans of the original.
  12. Since when was Thundercat's a good cartoon? I don't know when they played the Super Friends (I think you mean Justice League, which I do think is one of the greatest cartoons ever made). The comedy of these latest cartoons are unstructured, and random, which I guess is why you guys are talking about ADD. I can't stand Chowder, I can't stand Flapjack, I can't stand Total Drama whatever, I can't stand 6teen. It's not funny, and Cartoon Network can rot for all I care. I know they are catering to a new generation, but this new generation has really bad taste...
  13. I personally think F2P is lucky they have what they have...I don't think they deserve anything else unless they are willing to pay for it. IMO, Jagex spoils the F2P people with the amount of content they get.

Lulz...whatever it was Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. It wasn't THE last, it was just the last one with a single player experience. There was one you could buy on the PSN that was multiplayer, but I never did get around to playing it.

How much more specific can we get???
  16. It still felt like the writer was running out of time and decided to throw it out there. There was no thought involved, and it wasn't as deep as I was hoping. I don't want to see half hour fights that are repetitive and every three seconds consists of an explosion, and someone screaming.
  17. I enjoy Colbert. I have had to because cartoons that are being played on both CN and Nick are terrible. Nick has a lot of shows with actors, kinda like Disney Channel, and with all kids shows that are live action, the acting sucks, the jokes suck, and I don't see how anyone can enjoy it. I can't find one worthwhile cartoon on CN to watch. Anime wise, they have nothing. Saturday night's on Adult Swim have been pretty much stripped of anime except Bleach and whatever that show is with the prince and the bodyguard. For god's sake, they play the PJ's on saturday nights, a show that was cancelled specifically because it sucked. They also now play King of the Hill, a show only a Texan could understand. Adult Swim needs more anime, and less of the crappy comedies. Metalocalypse is good, robot chicken is good, family guy is good, sealab 2021 is good. If Adult Swim is going to be lazy, they can at least play some of their older stuff that was actually funny. The Mighty Boosh? What the hell, why the hell, who the hell? Terrible.
  18. Same here. I have heard of most mainstream ones, never heard of a lot of these... Has anybody seen Vampire Hunter D? It is a really old movie, but it is pretty good. They also made Bloodlust, but that wasn't the best book to base a movie on IMO.

I'm going to post a picture, now that we know the rules we can all now guess without any infractions, though there probably will... One of my favorite games, though when it first came out, I decided to get the Simpsons game instead. Stupid, stupid decision. The multiplayer was pretty fun. Can't believe it was the last one though
  20. Since when in America have we used Celcisus? Anyways, it's been like 92 degrees farenheit here. It's friggin hot in Illinois.
  21. Agreed. Fight them in the wild if it annoys you that bad. Might have to deal with some revs, but who cares? Dragons need to be a bit more challenging so, as somebody else said, prices for their stuff don't plummet. This is deffinately not a problem in the least with the game, more with you. If you have ever played an RPG on a console, you'll know there is a point where the monsters aren't easy at all, and everyone knows that is the time you start level grinding. You should do the same thing. You've hit a roadblock, you need to go train before you go back. Don't complain because you are too weak to stand up to the baby black dragons. It's not Jagex fault, it's your problem, and it is simply fixed by training in your defense and such. Otherwise, have fun getting owned by little babies!
  22. I wish that that guy would have at least given you a free lesson on how to construct a rant so that it was understandable. I was having a hard time reading it, but I understand the fact that this is just another "The community sucks" thread. A question: When has Runescape ever not been full of cursing? What world were you sitting on. I hate when people compare the community from two years ago to now, because even if it is different, it is somewhat cleaner. If nobody talked on Runescape, then there would not be so many threads about people calling each other noobs and all the other threads based on how the community acts.
  23. But why couldn't it be told in another way, other than that it was pointless. When the transformers kicked the crap out of each other it was for maybe thirty seconds each fight. It wasn't that great. I agree that it was a 14 year olds wet dream (I may be 14 but I hate Megan Fox). It's more like a movie for preteens who are obsessed with explosions and [wagon]'s.
  24. Are you serious? Shamo bored you? It has great character development, and the artwork is incredible. How far did you end up reading? I got to chapter 27 or something...the characters were fine, and the artwork was really clean, I just couldn't get into it enough. It was kind of slow for me.

Here's my questions: Is the single player experience good, and how long is the single player?
