The Lone Traveller and other poetry
The train makes the Earth shake Running to the stars basically means they were running for their lives (only word I could rhyme). And the plains of life thing was supposed to make it sound a lot more complex than it actually is. I am not a great poet, I enjoy writing much more.

Games Franchises that Should Give Up
I got a couple: Halo-Though it did help popularize FPS games, using the same formula as the first two for Halo 3 made it absolutely boring and sub par to the competitors. Still, everyone gave it great reviews (probably because it's Halo, and god forbid Halo be recognized as what it is, a sub par shooter). The only reason I own it is for multiplayer. Most other games of the genre don't have half the online players as Halo. Sonic the Hedgehog- The original games were great, but the continuation of the character roster, the fact that every one of the games has to add [developmentally delayed]ed gimmicks in order for people to play them, the platforming issues. Everything about the new ones sucks. It continues because of the little kid fan base. One of the best gimmicks is the new Sega All Stars Racing, where Sonic drives cars with friends. Because the fastest hedgehog on Earth can't be bothered to do what he was originally there to do, run really fast and kill little animal robots. Which is another thing I don't understand, there is no speed in the new games. Puzzles, clunky platforming, it's missing the one reason the games did well in the 90's...speed. Mario- I'm sorry, but this series has gotten old really fast. His original games were fun and good. Mario 64 was an "Eh" sort of game that wasn't all that great. And now, Nintendo is milking him, even though he's running dry. He has too many titles that include him and other characters in the series to count, all half assed, and usually never much fun. His last real game, Mario Galaxy, was an alright game (of course, theres a sequel, because everyone knows planet hopping, bee crotch scratching Mario is awesome). I have never played Twilight Princess, so can't count Zelda, though I hate the Windwaker crap, and I can't count Metroid because I have barely played any of the new games (I am planning to get the trilogy package when it comes out.)

Manga/Anime Discussion
I gave up reading JoJo, it was awesome the first two parts, and then they had those spirit people and I thought it wasn't as good. I liked the ripples, that was fine, but the whole spirit card people thing made the action scenes too confusing, and I thought ruined it.

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
Player interaction that led to scams and the like, that led to the wild being taken out, that led to me sitting here and telling you that player interaction is still in the game, it's just the fact that with easier, and safer ways to buy/sell/trade, what's the point of sitting around world 1 for hours trying to sell your full rune?

Manga/Anime Discussion
Toonami used to actually play good anime. But now it's gone and now the only anime on CN is Naruto, which I personally can't stand. Saturday mornings seem to have given up on good anime too. I remember watching Cardcaptor Sakura back in the late 90's I guess it was, can't remember much except for her weird outfits, that guy in green who said something [developmentally delayed]ed whenever he unleashed his special attack and that yellow thingy that followed her around. And of course, apparently Adult Swim has given up on playing anime. Saturday now is plagued with the comedy crap I have grown to hate over the years. Hey, instead of an hour of King of the Hill, why not an hour of some sort of anime, whether it be old, or new I don't care but why the hell is there Star Wars on saturday night Adult Swim when Cowboy Bebop could be playing at a reasonable hour, instead of four or five o clock in the morning. Bleach is O.K, that new show about the lady protecting the prince just started, and might turn out good, and then code Gay [wagon]...I can't stand it. I WANT NEW STUFF! OR OLD STUFF THAT DOESN'T SUCK! I miss Ghost in the Shell and Evangelion and Big O and Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, and though some are still playing, they should be playing at a reasonable hour! Just a question: Does anybody actually read Shonen Jump, because I started reading it back at Issue 20, then gave up when it got too Naruto crazy, and bought the latest issue...a lot of really big anime fans say it sucks...then a lot of other anime fans say it's awesome. I can't decide though, because anything that displays in bold letters on the cover: YU GI OH GX! is apparently drunk with power. I mostly read scans of manga from onemanga.com...

Average Runescapians IQ: 60
I was pointing out people with IQ don't have to have common sense. I have 135 IQ, and I am still pretty much a rock when it comes to dealing with problems.

Average Runescapians IQ: 60
One thing I don't understand is why it matters what the IQ of a person is. If we're talking player behavior here the person could have 120 IQ and still behave childish. IQ is a (not very helpful) measure of intelligence, not common sense or how they are likely to act. I have 130+ IQ, that doesn't mean I have common sense (Which I admit I don't have too much of). So, in order for me to even want to read this thing entirely is if you say something else beyond that average Runescape layers have an IQ of 60, because: Numero Uno: Jagex has never taken a test of their players IQ and made a little Pie Chart, so there are no facts to back this up. Numero Dos: IQ is a measure of INTELLIGENCE not COMMON SENSE. Numero Tres: We aren't called Runescapians, we like to be known as "Players". Just like World of Warcraftians like to be known as players. I'll review this thread in full later, but right now, I am trying to understand what the point of people's IQ is pertaining to behavior...

Tip.It's 100 Movies (VOTING IS STARTING!!!)
I don't have any idea how voting should be done though. Ten votes per person, only one vote may go toward each movie. Once we hit (Five or ten?) votes on a movie, it is an official member of the list. Anybody have a better idea? UPDATED Also, I think maybe we should do something like have a negative vote system, five per person, only one toward each movie, but once the movie gets negative five votes, it's off the list. Everyone can vote as many times as they like as long as it is after two other people have voted. Those Rules work?

Tip.It's 100 Movies (VOTING IS STARTING!!!)
Updated! First of all, Transformers 2 is not on the list because of the fact it hasn't been released yet. Once we know if it sucked or not, then we can place it accordingly. Also, I was hesitant to place Rush Hour 3 on the list. That was a baaaaaad movie...

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
I am thinking about being a critic, just because I like making fun of stuff, whil e bringing up points about it...Next year in High School I have to take a semester of that kinda stuff...I'll see if I like doing it...I got a video camera too, I just never have gotten around to using it for video reviews... Anyway, I am glad people understand my points! It been over a year and a half, and I personally think everyone should get over it, because if you are so attached to a game that you have to complain for eighteen/nineteen months, you clearly need to go outdoors. Also, if you enjoy literature, you should join the Varrock Library...I am gonna write something over there later...

Yeah, complete lists are good! Also, updated the list!

Tip.It's 100 Movies (VOTING IS STARTING!!!)
I saw they had the CD thread, and I thought, why not have a Movie thread as well. Basically, the way it will work is you don't have to give a complete list as of yet, but throw out movies you think are deserving to be seen by everyone, whether they changed movie making, whether they were good, whether they sucked. Whatever you think is deserving to be on the list. People who make complete lists, that's cool, and all other movies mentioned will be listed. All the movies mentioned won't be put into the list in any order, and if we get over 100 movies, we can always take one off... I'll start the list: 1. Star Wars: A New Hope 2. Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark 3. Evil Dead 2 4. Monty Python and the Holy Grail 5. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King 6. Two Towers 7. Fellowship of The Ring 8. Thunderball 9. Who is Truly to blame for the War in the Middle East?
Supplying my enemy with the latest tanks, guns, and technology doesn't make you guilty? America has been involved with the Middle East (primarily by backing up Israel) for decades before 9/11 or the Iraqi War of 1991. If we "finished" the job in Iraq then, the same situation we are in right now would of happened in 1999 instead of 2009. Yes, we did pay for their weapons and such during the Soviet Invasion of the country to get revenge on Russia after putting us through the Cold War.

Who is Truly to blame for the War in the Middle East?
Well, Americans are not at fault, they just intervened during Operation Desert Storm. But we were fighting for the minority groups. After our job was done, we hadn't killed off all the opposition, and after accomplishing what we wanted accomplished, we left the little groups to fend for themselves, making them hate us more. The only people happy with us was Kuwait because we stopped Iraq from taking over. So we are partly to blame for the continuing violence, just because we kind of entered the war, assured the minorities it would be okay, and then left immediately after the oil fields in Kuwait were secure, which would lead to more violence. If we had finished the job and not just left, it might be different.

Mechscape: The future of Gielnor?
I have had this question stuck in my mind, and just noticed the Mechscape boards, so thought I would ask. Is Mechscape going to tell what future Gielnor is like, or are we in for a completely new world/worlds? I am sure knowing Jagex that there will be quite a few Runescape references, but I am just wondering if this tells the future story of the land we roam on in Runescape. Anybody have any thoughts?
