Maleficus1055 Presents: 45 Albums That Don't Suck!
I dont understand how you like Lamb Of God. But I do understand why you like their most mainstream friendly album (In my opinion). I own both Wrath and Sacrament, I just did not find Wrath as great. No songs really stood out on Wrath. Walk with me in Hell was a great song. Wrath is all right, just not as good as Sacrament.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
Lol, I agree. And to all the people bashing me, think of it my way...This movie was trying to be serious. You could tell it, and if you couldn't than you need to put your brain back in your head. It tried, but failed. And when a movie tries to be serious and then plays around with all this comedic crap, it fails. Look a Indiana Jones, it doesn't treat itself seriously, it is supposed to be fun and witty. But Transformers, if treated like Indiana Jones as a witty and fun adventure, could have been fine. There are a lot of things wrong with the movie. Long drawn out fight scenes, returning from the robot heaven. This is the best summary of T2: http://www.cracked.com/funny-877-transformers-2/

Reading
Have you read Enders Shadow, because it's the same time as Enders Game? I'm trying to read Ender's Shadow, but because I've already read through everything that happens in Ender's Game I'm really not interested. But I have to push along just because I am sure there will be quite a bit of extra story that I need to know to move onto Shadow of the Hedgemon. Needed a book for the plane to Florida, and something to read in my free time there, so while shopping with my Mom at Sam's Club decided to pick up Public Enemies. Looks like a good historical book, it's told in more of a story format so you learn while reading an exciting story. It's not like the movie though, I guess the movie is kinda based on it. Looks good, talks about Dillinger and all the other gangsters, along with the birth of the FBI. Tell you in a couple weeks whether it's worth a read or not.

Never heard of Equillibrium, and thanks to the two examples above I never want to hear them again...

Maleficus1055 Presents: 45 Albums That Don't Suck!
You have heard like 3 or 4 songs I'm guessing? Btw, listen to some folk metal. You mean electric banjos? I can agree with you to a point that a lot of metal is mostly people screaming into a mic, but that's the really heavy stuff. I don't like that stuff (other than Lamb of God), I like hair metal and that kind of stuff.

Ratchet's Top 12 Albums
I don't listen to albums as much. I like random bands but not their complete albums. These are the only ones I own and actually think are decent. I like Megadeth, but not all their songs...I don't listen to enough bands specifically to create a huge list. I could do I top 100 songs, but albums I can't. Anyway, it could have been top 13 albums if I remembered GNR. But I forgot while making this list.

Ratchet's Top 12 Albums

Ratchet's Top 12 Albums
IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER Stadium Arcadium-Red Hot Chili Peppers I enjoy this album solely because there are quite a few different types of music found in here, and to be honest, it reminds me somewhat of Pink Floyd. Favorite Track: Dani California Number Ones-Michael Jackson I'm too smart to put Thriller or Bad on the list, because I personally disliked quite a few tracks on those albums. And I personally think every one of his best songs can be found on this album. Favorite Track: Smooth Criminal Master of Puppets-Metallica I like almost every Metallica album (Death Magnetic is crap in my opinion) but I have always enjoyed the song Master of Puppets and think it's one of their best, if not their best, song. Favorite Track: Master of Puppets. Rio-Duran Duran Yes, I like Duran Duran, mostly because I love the eighties. And this album is their best in my opinion. Favorite Track: Hungry Like the Wolf Sacrament-Lamb of God I enjoy this album and think it's a pretty decent heavy metal album. It has to be listened to in small portions because your going to get a headache, but it's still pretty damn good. Favorite Track: Walk with me in Hell Ten Thousand Fists-Disturbed I love a lot of Disturbs stuff, but due to one song (Ten thousand fists) this is going on the list. I love the vocals mostly, David Draiman (the lead singer) has a neat voice (not live though, live they blow hard balls). Favorite Track: Ten Thousand Fists The Wall-Pink Floyd I love all the bands albums, but this one is my personal favorite. I just love their style, it's weird but kind of catchy. Favorite Track: The Whole Album Collection-Spyro Gyra Now onto the stuff you could give one flying crap less about. This is a jazz album, and in my personal opinion, the best jazz album ever. It has 14 amazing songs that I personally find quite good. Complain all you want, but who said every top album list needs metal? Favorite Track: Old San Juan MCMXC a.D-Enigma OES NOES! Not more obscure albums that are not in any way metal! Enigma was an early 90's band that actually was just experimenting in different fields of music. A lot of it consists of Gregorian Monks chanting during catchy tunes (which may sound boring, but is actually quite relaxing) and there are a lot of parts of the album that are basically about sex. There is no singing beside the Monk Chants, and ultimately it is a very satisfying album. Favorite Track: The whole thing seems to be one track, it melds together so nicely, so the whole thing. Fallen-Evanescene Yes, I do like Evanescene. So laugh at me all you want, what ever. For those who haven't heard a song by them, they a rock band that asked the question "What would it be like if our band had an opera singer as the vocalist?". Well, it turns out to be an awesome album. Favorite Track: Wake Me Up Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace I like the Foo Fighters, and I like this album. It's got some good songs on it (and some mediocre ones) but the good ones make up for the mediocre ones. Favorite Track: Pretender Somewhere Back In Time-Iron Maiden This has most of my favorite Maiden's songs, and because I can't decide on an album, I'll choose the one with the best hits. Favorite Track: Two Minutes to Midnight Hotel California-The Eagles Personally, one of my top three favorite songs is Hotel California so because of that, it makes the list. There are a couple other good songs on here, but Hotel California=Major Win. Favorite Track: Hotel California DON'T FLAME MY MUSICAL TASTES :x

I like For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Brüno ist...
I gotta wait to see it on DVD. I have heard mixed things about it, but Borat was definately one of the funniest things I have ever seen. When he showed the etiquette teacher that picture of himself and his son! HAHAHA! "Should I show picture of my family." "Yes, that's good." "Here's a picture of me and my son." PAMELA! I liked the comercials for Bruno. The OJ joke and when he was in the army and did the Nazi salute was pretty funny.

Maleficus1055 Presents: 45 Albums That Don't Suck!
Haven't heard of most of these bands...Iron Maiden though is good, I do love Hallowed be thy Name. I think Powerslave is on par with number of the beast though. Hell, most of their albums were damn good. You didn't put your favorite track from Metallica.

PS3 Price Cuts or Bust
The problem is if they can't get the PS3 to work out, there won't be a PS4. And they expect the PS3 to last for another ten years. I really hope they are kidding because gaming better evolve past the graphics and limitations it has now in ten years.

Manga/Anime Discussion

PS3 Price Cuts or Bust
The Sony Playstation 3 is selling less and less units due to it's high cost. Sony refuses to cut the price though due to production values being through the roof. 4.4 billion dollars of operating losses have been collected over the past 3 years, and Sony is failing to understand the fact that they are screwing themselves either way they go. Price Cuts= Sony has a chance of getting tons more people to buy the console, but that probably won't happen. Keep the Price=Sony has no chance of getting more people to buy the console. Activision is going to quit producing games for the console if there is not a price cut: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601101&sid=arABB6Q8eodU Despite pretty much everyone who doesn't own a PS3 but wants ones prayers, Sony continues to tell people that they will not see a price cut. Instead, we will see the PSPGO and talk of a new slim PS3 is making people wonder is Sony actually understands that they are digging an inescapable hole. According to this article, Sony is telling everyone that the PS3 is looking at the long term, at the next ten years. They say that they will pick up consumers slowly over the next decade of production. Once again I have to ask if they understand that with production values as high as they are and income as low as it is, do they understand the hole they are digging. So basically: "We are slowly grabbing thirty consumers every six months. So who needs a price cut"? In related Gamestop news which I saw on G4's The Feed today, Gamestop is striking at Sony telling them that if there is not a price cut soon, they will stop selling the system. What happens if there is no price cut? -Activision Blizzard, creators of the greatest RPG's and Guitar Hero will quit making games for it. -Gamestop will stop selling it, gamestop/EBgames being the largest chain of video game stores around. -PS3 loses more money than ever before and production might have to stop. The PS3 Slim, if the rumor is true, would go for 300 dollars, which is the price cut a lot of people might be looking for, maybe not, but the question is this: If a producer of games for the console, and a major distritibutive entity decide to quit working with the console if there is not a price cut, can Sony get their act together and find a way to get out of this hole? Discuss whatever, but let's keep the console bashing stuff to a minimum because I know someone will decide to bash the console itself. That's not what this thread's about...I'll update this when necessary, but I have no idea what to say about Sony. So many companies refuse to make exclusives for the console, there are very few first party titles compared to other systems, there are a lot of things Sony needs to fix, or quite frankly, they are screwed.

Manga/Anime Discussion
Its based on a real person, his biography is The Book of Five Rings. I don't think its translated into English, but its a good read. Yeah I know it is based on Miyamoto Musashi, but Vagabond is based on the series "Musashi" by Eiji Yoshikawa. There are five books in the series, but the only way you can find it anymore is in an omnibus collection.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
I was wondering as well why Egyptologists and Archaeologists have scoured Egypt for different technologies and proof that aliens helped build the pyramids, but why the hell didn't they look at the tip of the pyramids at Giza? Also, that temple in the cliff, why was it so well preserved if nobody ever found it. It didn't seem too decayed or anything, it looked rather nice. And who didn't think "The machine is behind that painting!".

Reading
I've read the robot ones and Foundation. The Irobot series or whatever is pretty good, but I never could get into reading foundation. Got Ender's Shadow. This one should be good. Also wondering if anyone has read Tales of the Otori? The author has one of the cleanest writing styles I have ever read.
