  1. It makes sense that Russia would attack any possible allies of the U.S., hence the reason for attacks on England, France, etc. Or just read this article. MW3 story in a nutshell apparently. It's all being planned by Makarov. Also... [hide] Guess Soap and Frost die.[/hide]
  2. Makes sense that the Russians are still on the offensive, but I really hope they don't screw up the vehicle parts. Or include them in multiplayer, due to BF3 undoubtedly outclassing MW3 in vehicle warfare. Just have to wait and see...
  3. I've done that many times. I like planting tracer darts on them so enemies can see them easily. I wonder... can you see the dart blinking through the smoke?
  4. Which also happens to be why it is such a bad map in general. Everyone snipes, and nobody goes for the stations. The only reason to play it is to snipe or fly helicopters, which most people can't really do either very effectively.
  5. I have 22 charges. HOOOOOOOOLY CRAP. Woof. Seems like it'll be quiiiiiite a while till Regent. Atleast I won't leave the guild randomly now
  6. It seems there are new guild rankings past cardinal. I'm now a Hierarch.
  7. If you want practice at sniping, just play rush or conquest and find a decent place with a good over-look of the flag/mcom station, and snipe anyone trying to capture/plant. Just remember that the bullet drops (this isn't CoD with laserbeam snipers), and try to judge distances to compensate for the bullet drop. Panama Canal is good, if you spawn as the Russians; there is a little hill that is covered in plants that overlooks D just outside their spawn, and you have a nice overview of most of the capturable area, so you can snipe anyone trying to. Cold War is a nice rush map to practice on as well.
  8. Normal mode takes too many shots to kill someone for me, especially sniping. You don't survive a .50 caliber round to the heart and live. Or a tank shell that blew up right next to you. Hardcore translates to "realism" in my mind.
  9. I really hate when teammates kill you for no reason while you are on the UAV. If anyone does that, I hunt them for the rest of the game, or until I am kicked. Kill them, or just tag them with tracers. Call it over-reacting, but when I'm actually helping the team and have a decent killstreak going, killing me for no reason gets capital punishment.
  10. Good. More time till launch = more time to work out bugs, add content, etc. When was it origionally supposed to come out? Fall-ish? I was surprised when they announced it to release that early. I'm glad for the push-back.
  11. Hang out with friends. Or, more specifically, go shooting. Nothing makes me feel better than the recoil of an AR-15 or Remmington 700 .308. That, or just play some games.

Derp, spelled the title wrong. TerrAria. My bad. http://www.terraria.org/ Older news. [hide] If you like Minecraft, and want to try something new, Terreria could be the new game for you! It looks very interesting, especially having seen someone actually play it for quite a while. ( ) Known features. Also, there WILL be bosses, some of which can be summoned. Monsters will spawn at night, and lower leveled, easier monsters during the day. [spoiler=Pictures of the game!] -Boss fight against an unknown enemy. -Boss fight against The Eye of Cthulhu -A shot of the "corrupt" areas of the world. -Exploration underground will be possible, with chances of finding health or mana boosters, money, or different kinds of materials. -There are instances where you can make "dungeon runs", which can lead to epic gear. -Resources such as wood and metal make an appearance. -A picture of the types of buildings you can create, with different NPC's can move in, such as nurses or traders. The trailer only came out a week or two ago, and new items and features are being added every day. One more thing, the dev's have said that the inspiration for this game has come from many different places. Basically everything for now has been posted. Release date is pending, but so far it looks great! Episode #23 of the video link I posted has the commentator playing with a developer, so that could be worth a watch. But yea, I will most definitely be getting this game when it comes out. EDIT(s): Video with one of the developers, Blue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdqqb5WWx10 Confirmed being able to create many different worlds, due to every world being limited in size. However, inventory WILL transfer over between worlds, meaning you can take resources from one world, hop, and place them in another world.[/hide] Newest stuff. Video of 1.1! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azq5IOrFtEI&feature=player_embedded
  14. I still have to wonder what is stopping them from trimming the quest cape... They have time to design all of these fancy ones, but adding a simple black trim is too hard?
  15. Surely you can't be serious. About The Hangover? Or the entire thing in general? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCy8MpT45gk
  16. Quite honestly, if my bank information was stolen, I'd expect quite a bit more than a month of free online stuff. I would want (if anything) atleast a permanent reduced cost of said "Playstation Plus" service, and maybe some free games. A month of free online vs bank account information being leaked doesn't even out very well...
  17. Good man. Jak&Daxter (the first one) is the best one in my opinion. But enjoy it, it's fun. Plus when you heard the Lurker shark music, the second one had that robot that killed you if you went to far out, and the third one had that tentacle monster thing. Not near as cool as the Lurker shark. That shark scared the [cabbage] out of me when I first got J&D. I didn't go to that underwater temple place in the second village because I was afraid of falling off of the pontoons. Eventually I did though, on a second playthrough.
  18. When people say "That's what she said!" to bad things. Example: "It's not that big. THAT WHAT SHE SAID!" is not a GOOD thing. I want to slap people when they say it in bad cases. When it is legitimately funny then it is fine.

Both my sister and the runner up dux of my high school last year voted 1. I was dissapointed. Not enough brackets period, even with pemdas/bodmas/what have you. Seriously, take it from a math minor, there's not enough brackets to give a definitive answer. Then again, after doing some higher level math stuff, you tend to overthink things anyway. I agree that there are not enough brackets, but using PEDMAS & BODMAS, we're taught that Division & Multiplication are both equal (same with Subtraction and Addition). In this case, it makes the equation go from left to right, in which case the answer is 9. They way I read it and do it in my head is distribute the 2 to the (1+3) which ends up being 6, so then it is 6/(6) = 1. I was taught PEMDAS, not PEDMAS... And I have no idea what BODMAS is, so.
  20. It reminded me too much of L4D really. Danny = Francis, Sarah = Zoey, and so on... I mean cmon... Other than that, it looks pretty cool. But I doubt we will be able to pull off combos with the machetes (if we can use them). Probably just slash in front of you a bunch, like a repetitive knife attack. Oh well. And it looks like we get a new "experimental" weapon too. At 1:41 I believe.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZJBc_BE3Ws This looks interesting...

They are releasing two other games modes (I believe) every week of the beta, so it'll still be fun. I think there are still tactics needed now anyway, like for Trenches, the need to rush the nest is pretty big. Having one or two people stand in the grenade spawn to stop anybody else from getting to the nest is a huge help. And with Thrashball, if you can control the concession stands, you can control the entire battlefield. I'm not sure about Checkout, as I think that is the worst map ever, and I haven't played enough of Old Town to really get a feel for it, other than rushing the boomshot/digger launcher. And you do have a point, though, about the not as tactical now. I've had games where I went 2/13 due to people just running around with the sawed-off and blasting me from behind. EDITL KOTH is pretty crazy. Only played one game, but it went on for three rounds on Trenches. Incredibly fun when the hill is in the Nest. Although the spawning system needs tweaking. I died, spawned in one of the normal spawns, ran forward RIGHT BEHIND an enemy, shotgunned him, then got shotgunned immediately afterward by a guy who spawned behind me. Still funny as hell though.

People rely too much on shotguns in this game... Gets very annoying constantly dieing to people who get lucky with the sawn-off.

I have access right now. Some of the weapons need a little more balance (I HATE THE DIGGER LAUNCHER), but otherwise it's been pretty good. I like the hammerburst, and don't really like the retro lancer. WAAAAY too much recoil. Fun fact: You can aim down your guns' sights by clicking the right thumbstick while aiming. Much more accurate.
  25. 12:43The trader suddenly gave me a big smile, winked and gave me an ambiance fluxuator. I'm sure this huckster has something on his mind. Encouraged while at the trader  Gives a new aura. Score. But it took 75% godpower.
