Honor? In war?! Excuse me while I go laugh my [wagon] off. There is no honor in war. If you fight a guy, and you have an assault rifle, while he only has a pistol, are you going to be "honorable" and only fight him with a pistol? Or trade him weapons so he has the better advantage? No. Where is your honor when you are dead on the street? Honor will not protect you against bullets and rockets. Why do you think there is guerrilla warfare? Don't get me wrong, I think killing innocent people is horrible and wrong, but it is going to happen. We just have to try and minimize it.

Well I just installed Battlefield 2142, and it says there are 0 servers :-# Anyone know if there is something wrong or something? (when it was near the end of the install, it said that it couldn't install direct x or something like that, could that have any effect on it?)

What would the point of having a [skill] guild? Just have the resources we can get on the ge be overpriced, but in one location, and be semi-close to a bank? To have an anvil close to a bank liek we already have? (varrock west)? There really isn't any point to the guilds unless they move the cape masters there.

Been having fun with this game, watching people crash helicopters and all. It's actually pretty fun to drive tanks :grin: silly people who get too close and go around to the back think I can't kill them :twisted: *squish* (Guy on an atv rode past me, got off, and shot a 40mm at my rear. It didn't do much, and I just ran him over) I'm definitely getting this game when it comes out. On another note, since this is a Battlefield thread, does anyone know if people still play Battlefield 2142? I've had it for a while, but haven't had internet on this computer for a year, so couldn't play it. If anyone does know, could you post?

Why does everyone assume a person wearing the farming cape = farming guild? Has anyone ever thought that she might replace Martin as farmer cape master? Like Kuradal (or whatever her name is)?

Who cares about accuracy? Tell me, if they stuck to the book, would it be that fun of a game? Or if they tweaked it a little bit, and made it a crusader (with a cross SOWN into his chest) kill Death, then fight through hell with Death's scythe? Doesn't that sound just a little bit more fun to you?

Well, I tried out the helicopter, and it is fun, while a little hard to control on the 360. Also, DUMB PEOPLE SHOULDN'T FLY HELICOPTERS. I got in with a guy not in my squad, we lift off 10 feet, start going backwards and looking up, crash, right into the river/ocean. I have had a few close counters myself, but the first time I got in, I looked at the on-screen controls and figured it all out myself, not just smash buttons and see what happens -.-. It seems I'm the only person on my team that marks enemies. I've seen a few other people do it, but I can't figure out why snipers don't mark them! It's so useful for killing enemy snipers, just aim below the arrow... Does anyone else think the recon class is better at killing vehicles than the engineers? I've killed 5 heavy tanks with just c4, and only 1 or 2 with engineers.

Eh if the assault guy is worth his salt he shouldn't get dropped to you using a pistol. However I know the 1911 is pretty damn solid, I've been dropped by that a few times. No health meter? Not sure if it's needed, although an option wouldn't hurt. Sniper rifle deal: Well I do that in PC shooters anyways, it just makes sense. It sounds like the 360 demo has a different map than the PC does. For us we are doing a rush gametype on "port varez" which is some snow covered map. There is a helicopter on that one. Yea we have that one too, it's in Alaska or something isn't it? I thought I saw a helicopter during a game, but I didn't think it was player controlled. And you have to pull the left trigger to zoom in, wait to get a shot in, shoot, let go of the left trigger to pull back the bolt, zoom in, try and find the guy again, shoot, and hopefully kill. It's kind of lame that it takes two shots, but whatever I guess. It isn't that hard to get a headshot, just aim below the marker. Anyway, going to bed now :grin: cya.

Yea, it just seems whenever I'm sniping, and a guy with an assault rifle comes up, I can't even seem to get one hit on him with my pistol before I'm dead. Also, a health meter would be nice :???: And no having to zoom out to pull back the bolt when sniping... so annoying...

I'd go with the USP .45, or (if it has the TK, I can't remember atm.) the raffica. Raffica can be pretty slow to pull out, and you don't have the final stand spammage you have with other handguns, but it's pretty good.

The multiplayer demo is is pretty cool. If we could get a few more maps, that would be epic. It also kind of sucks that you can upgrade each class only once, then you can't. I <3: playing as recon, just camping in a bush and spot enemies and mark them for my allies to pick off, getting free "spot assist" xp :thumbsup:. The squad system also rocks, especially when you work together. I think the only down side is what was said above, and the amount of shots it takes to kill someone. Also, the knife kills are EPIC. Stab to the neck please!? WAY better than CoD knifing, and the ghilly suits look pretty cool, instead of a walking bush in the middle of a city. I think the vehicles are pretty lame too, but seeing as (as far as I know), you can only drive a medium and heavy tank, and an atv, the air and water vehicles might be pretty fun. Good game overall. And my friends can't play because of that age setting, does anyone know a way to get around it?

*sigh* Having fun ruining everyone else's game with your selfishness? I'm supposed to care about other people? Yea, do they care when they shoot you? Do they care about you when you kill them and they yell and scream at you for killing them? Might drop this game for a while, going to try out the BFBC2 demo and see how that is compared to this. Will be back once the demo is downloaded.

Does it check your age AFTER you download it? Because I am right now on my Xbox, and it's downloading like normal, (along with the LE Ezio outfit :mrgreen: ), sounds like this is going to be fun. :thumbsup:

Had a pretty good round on Afghan today, using my newly silenced Wa2000. Was sniping on the mini-cliff that you drop down onto from the main cliff. Got to 8-0 then some teammate backstabbed me FOR NO REASON. :evil: :wall: Why are people so STUPID/JERKS! Ended up going 10-3 because he backstabbed me 3 times! BS's shouldn't count towards deaths tbh -.-

I must say, I'm disappointed by the new DLC. While it was fun to fight a whole bunch of people at once with a bunch of friendlies, it was pretty short. Sure you get to kill two more people, and save some people (again), but it only took an hour... with a pretty bad cliffhanger for the 2nd DLC -.- DON'T GO DOWN THAT BAD ROAD, UBISOFT!

This isn't the only thing we get for being beta players is it :mellow: Seems kind of lame to me... Oh well I guess...

I voted for Imperial Palace, since there won't be as many people there, meaning if someone attacks one of us, we can dominate them :twisted: Plus there will be too many people in Royal Garden, and our region might be overrun.

The first Golden Horde in Red Dragon, when the beta first started. Everyone post on my thread on the WoL forums! It's about extra buildings slots for veteran beta players, and can be edited if anyone else comes up with ideas for us/them. Here. It isn't very well written but still.

It depends on who is hosting the game I think. If you host, then you should have a good connection, while everyone else has a not-so-good one. If that isn't the case, then I don't know what it is about :mellow:

If they do ever release a Zaros GWD boss, what do you guys think it would look like? And what monsters would you have to kill for kc? 50 of each? I personally think it would look something like Death, or maybe a reanimated skeleton giant thing... Although something like the Nightbringer from Warhammer 40k. That would be EPIC.

My max population is... [hide] OVER 9000!!![/hide] But no, I'm really enjoying this game. Gotten pretty far, but once you get going it turns into a game that you can only play for a couple of minutes out of boredom, I have a feeling it's going to suck when PVP becomes active, since you won't know when/if you are being attacked...
