Pretty nice. I think the background is too noisy, tone it down and have more prominent stars and nebulae. Also, there is obvious cloning/repeated brushing just below the planet, you need to fix that. Like someone mentioned in your DA post, the red glow at the bottom isn't so great, it wouldn't happen there and it's too saturated.

It looks like it was drawn in Paint if I'm honest. I don't know if you've deliberately gone outside the lines sometimes for a stylish effect, but it doesn't come across as that, it just looks messy and rushed. You need to work on your lines more, I think you've used the pencil or brush tool to draw it, and it looks jagged and uneven when you apply the stroke. I think there's a tool which smooth out lines, so try using that if it exists. I remember seeing halftone Illustrator tutorials ages ago, they were pretty easy I think, it should be too much of an issue.

You shouldn't be too sad. What I think is that it isn't so terrible when an old person dies, they've had a full, whole lifetime and now it's just their time to go. You should celebrate your grandmother's life, what she has achieved and how she affected all of those she knew etc. Obviously it will take time to get over her passing, but you shouldn't (in my opinion) be totally devastated, death is inevitable.

Javascript is a web scripting language that goes alongside HTML and CSS pages. It has a similar syntax to programming languages like Java and C++, so if you've ever tried to learn those and stuggled, you might have a hard time with Javascript. Instead of clicking 'change' have you tried just clicking 'insyall' from the first screen? If you're trying to change the directory it might have conflicting installation issues with the current folder.

I think bands that write songs with an anti-political message or a commentary on modern culture are boring and wasted now. It's been done to death, no-one cares anymore. That's why bands like Pink Floyd are still so great, they write timeless lyrics that are always relevant and beautiful. Wish You Were Here is a good example, the lyrics are just effortless.

I had a DT teacher in Year 10 who just didn't really care about anything. We were all bored one lesson so he's like, 'let's all go outside and play football'. So we did, and it was awesome. He also got some kid to glue his hands together with industrial stength super glue. Hilarious.

I hardly ever revised, I just did it all a few days before. I know friends who are revising like 6 months before the exam. I could never be bothered.

What kind of punk do you play, there are loads of sub-genres. Simple 3-chord punk? Hardcore punk? More technical? Where are you going to be using this logo? Will you be using it just on myspace (if you use it) or other networking sites? Will you be printing it out on cards? Knowing whether to design something that will be printed or not makes a big difference.

Runes of Magic is a free mmorpg, similar in style to World of Warcraft, although probably not as good. (I've never played Wow properly, only the free trial.) I've seen a little bit of discussion about it here, but the search found no topics. Although it's still in beta (open beta I think), I'm actually really getting into it. The gameplay is pretty addictive, it's mainly quest driven, with the primary way of getting levels and advancing the game is through quests. There are also skills, such as woodcutting, cooking and crafting. I've barely touched them, but I get the impression they take more of a backseat in gameplay, unlike RuneScape, for example, which is highly skills driven. I'm currently a Rogue, with my secondary class as priest. Rogues are pretty fun, very speaky but quick with high DPS. They also have cool skills like instantly stepping behind the enemy, so you can use a back attack with critical damage. You can also use poisons and dual wield daggers. The download client is largeish, around 3.5GB. Also it seems a lot of people have trouble with updating the patches and connecting to servers. I had some trouble, but now it works fine. For a free game (so far, not sure if they have plans to make it p2p) it's pretty decent. The graphics on maximum settings are quite nice, it has this strange ethereal glow to it, makes it looks very picturesque and pastel-like. Overall I'd say it's a fairly competent game, can't wait for it to come out officially. Only one thing lets this game down for me so far: it has more spelling mistakes than a 14 year old Californian teenage girl's myspace page. Seriously, it's horrible. I'm part Grammar Nazi, and I die a little inside when I'm reading the quest information from an NPC and it's filled with 'don;t' and 'mnoster'. Opinions?

In Paint, always save as a png. In most other programmes like Photoshop, you can save as a jpg, since you can choose the quality yourself. A jpg at 100% quality looks exactly the same as a png.
